The properties of water and their changes under the action of a magnetic field were gathered by the spectrum techniques of infrared, Raman, visible, ultraviolet and X-ray lights, which may give an insight into molecular and atomic structures of water. It was found that some properties of water were changed, and a lot of new and strange phenomena were discovered after magnetization. Magnetized water really has magnetism, which has been verified by a peak shift of X-ray diffraction of magnetized water + Fe3O4 hybrid relative to that of pure water + Fe3O4 hybrid, that is a saturation and memory effect. The properties of infrared and ultraviolet absorptions, Raman scattering and X-ray diffraction of magnetized water were greatly changed relative to those of pure water; their strengths of peaks were all increased, the frequencies of some peaks did also shift, and some new peaks, for example, at 5198, 8050 and 9340 cm?1, occurred at 25°C after water was magnetized. In the meanwhile, the magnetized effects of water are related to the magnetized time, the intensity of an externally applied magnetic field, and the temperature of water, but they are not a linear relationship. The study also showed a lot of new and unusual properties of magnetized water, for example, the six peaks in 3000–3800 cm?1 in infrared absorption, the exponential increase of ultraviolet absorption of wave with the decreasing wavelength of light of 200–300 nm, the frequency-shifts of peaks, a strange irreversible effect in the increasing and decreasing processes, as well as a stronger peak of absorption occurring at 50°C, 70°C and 80°C, the existence of many models of motion from 85°C to 95°C in 8000–10000 cm?1, and so on. These results show that the molecular structure of water is very complicated, which needs further study. A non-periodic oscillatory behavior of the unscented Kalman filter (UKF) when used to filter noisy contaminated chaotic signals is reported. We show both theoretically and experimentally that the gain of the UKF may not converge or diverge but oscillate aperiodically. More precisely, when a nonlinear system is periodic, the Kalman gain and error covariance of the UKF converge to zero. However, when the system being considered is chaotic, the Kalman gain either converges to a fixed point with a magnitude larger than zero or oscillates aperiodically.

Target decomposition (TD) theorems have been widely applied in radar polarimetry, serving as the bridge between radar measurements and the physical parameters of a scatterer. The H/A target decomposition is one of the most suitable tools for performing data interpretation in the study and characterization of natural scatters. In this paper, the statistics of the parameters of eigenvalue, eigenvector and H/A have been analyzed via a novel method, and the probability density functions (PDF) have been obtained. It is pointed out that all these parameters can be seen as asymptotically nonbiased with respect to the number of looks. In order to reduce the biases for a small number of looks, a novel estimator for the parameters has been proposed. We give the basic theorems for accurate estimation of parameters.

Recently, motivated by the pioneer work in revealing the small-world effect and scale-free property of various real-life networks, many scientists devote themselves to studying complex networks. One of the ultimate goals is to understand how the topological structures affect the dynamics upon networks. In this paper, we give a brief review on the studies of epidemic dynamics on complex networks, including the description of classical epidemic models, the epidemic spread on small-world and scale-free networks, and network immunization. Finally, perspectives and some interesting problems are proposed.

NaNbO3-Co2O3 co-added PZN-PZT （PZCNNT） ceramics were prepared using conventional solid state reaction. The piezoelectric and dielectric properties were measured. The experimental results show that the addition of 0.3mo1% Co2O3 leads to low dielectric loss （tgδ） in PZCNNT ceramics and the proper addition of NaNbO3 not only improves piezoelectric properties but also decreases intensively dielectric loss and mechanical loss. The optimal ceramic having d33=310 pC/N, kp=0.59, εr=985, tgδ=0.0034, Qm=1380 was obtained.

Based on the normalization of measurement data equations of the inverse scattering problem, a new regularization matrix is proposed. It can eliminate the unfavorable effects caused by difference of distances between field-point or source-point and target region, reduce the loss of useful information in regularization procedure, and decrease condition numbers of the ill-posed problems. Inversion for conductivity distribution of two-dimensional axisymmetric inhomogeneous media is carried out by combing this new regularization method with distorted Born iterative method. Simulation results show that compared with the conventional method, the new regularization method is of better stability, quicker convergence, higher accuracy of inversion and higher resolution.

In this paper, an approach for resource-constrained fiexible manufacturing system (FMS) scheduling was proposed, which is based on the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm and simulated annealing (SA) ***, the formulation for resource-con-strained FMS scheduling problem was introduced and cost function for this problem was ***, a hybrid algorithm of PSO and SA was employed to obtain optimal *** simulated results show that the approach can dislodge a state from a local min-imum and guide it to the global minimum.
