Background Cardiac implantable electronic devices （CIEDs） greatly improve survival and life quality of patients. However, there are gender differences regarding both the utilization and benefit of these devices. In this prospective CIED registry, we aim to appraise the gender differences in CIED utilization in China. Methods Twenty centers from 14.provinces in China were included in our registry study. All patients who underwent a CIED implantation in these twenty centers between Jan 2015 and Dec 2016 were included. Results A total of 8570 patients were enrolled in the baseline cohort, including 7203 pacemaker, 664.implantable cardiac defibrillators （ICD） implants and 703 cardiac resynchronization therapy device （CRT/D）. Totally, 4.17 （4..0%） CIED patients were female, and more than 59% pacemaker patients were female, but women account only one third of ICD or CRT/D implantation in this registry. There were significant differences between genders at pacemaker and ICD indications. Female was more likely received a pacemaker due to sick sinus syndrome （SSS）（63.9% vs. 51.0%, P 〈 0.001）. Female patients receiving an ICD were more likely due to cardiac ion channel disease （29.2% vs. 4.2%, P 〈 0.001）. The percentage of utilization of dual-chamber pacemaker in female patients was significantly higher than male （85.3% vs. 81.1%, P 〈 0.001）. But male patients were more likely received a cardiac resynchronization therapy devices with defibrillator than female （56.5% vs. 4..9%, P = 0.001）. In pacemaker patient, male was more likely to have structure heart disease （31.3% vs. 28.0%, P = 0.002）. In ICD patient, male patients were more likely to have ischemic heart disease （4..2% vs. 29.2%, P 〈 0.001）. The mean age of women at the time of CRT/D implantation was older than men （P = 0.014.. The Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST) has passed national acceptance and finished one pilot cycle of ‘Shared-Risk’ observations. It will start formal operation soon. In this context, this paper describes testing results of key fundamental parameters for FAST, aiming to provide basic support for observation and data reduction of FAST for scientific researchers. The 19-beam receiver covering 1.05–1.4. GHz was utilized for most of these observations. The fluctuation in electronic gain of the system is better than 1% over 3.5 hours, enabling enough stability for observations. Pointing accuracy,aperture efficiency and system temperature are three key parameters for FAST. The measured standard deviation of pointing accuracy is 7.9′′, which satisfies the initial design of FAST. When zenith angle is less than 26.4., the aperture efficiency and system temperature around 1.4.GHz are ~0.63 and less than 24.K for central beam, respectively. The sensitivity and stability of the 19-beam backend are confirmed to satisfy expectation by spectral HI observations toward NGC 672 and polarization observations toward 3 C 286. The performance allows FAST to take sensitive observations for various scientific goals, from studies of pulsars to galaxy evolution.

Spatio-temporal dynamics of maize cropping system in Northeast China between 1980 and 2010 by using spatial production allocation model

Understanding crop patterns and their changes on regional scale is a critical re- quirement for projecting agro-ecosystem dynamics. However, tools and methods for mapping the distribution of crop area and yield are still lacking. Based on the cross-entropy theory, a spatial production allocation model （SPAM） has been developed for presenting spa- tio-temporal dynamics of maize cropping system in Northeast China during 1980-2010. The simulated results indicated that （1） maize sown area expanded northwards to 4.~N before 2000, after that the increased sown area mainly occurred in the central and southern parts of Northeast China. Meanwhile, maize also expanded eastwards to 127°E and lower elevation （less than 100 m） as well as higher elevation （mainly distributed between 200 m and 350 m）; （2） maize yield has been greatly promoted for most planted area of Northeast China, espe- cially in the planted zone between 4.°N and 4.°N, while the yield increase was relatively homogeneous without obvious longitudinal variations for whole region; （3） maize planting density increased gradually to a moderately high level over the investigated period, which reflected the trend of aggregation of maize cultivation driven by market demand.

The global COVID-19 pandemic emerged at the end of December *** respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS)and acute lung injury(ALI)are common lethal outcomes of bacterial lipopolysaccharide(LPS),avian influenza virus,and SARS-Co ***-like receptor 4.TLR4.is a key target in the pathological pathway of ARDS and *** studies have reported that herbal small RNAs(s RNAs)are a functional medical ***-s RNA-20(Accession number:B594.14.6;Family ID:F2201.Q001979.B11)is a potent inhibitor of Toll-like receptor 4.TLR4.and pro-inflammatory ***,BZLs RNA-20 reduces intracellular levels of cytokines induced by lipoteichoic acid(LTA)and polyinosinic-polycytidylic acid(poly(I:C)).We found that BZL-s RNA-20 rescued the viability of cells infected with avian influenza H5N1,SARS-Co V-2,and several of its variants of concern(VOCs).Acute lung injury induced by LPS and SARS-Co V-2 in mice was significantly ameliorated by the oral medical decoctosome mimic(bencaosome;sphinganine(d22:0)+BZL-s RNA-20).Our findings suggest that BZLs RNA-20 could be a pan-anti-ARDS/ALI drug.

Photometric solution and period analysis of the contact binary system AH Cnc

Photometric observations of AH Cnc, a W UMa-type system in the open cluster M67, were car- fled out by using the 50BIN telescope. About 100h of time-series/3- and V-band data were taken, based on which eight new times of light minima were determined. By applying the Wilson-Devinney method, the light curves were modeled and a revised photometric solution of the binary system was derived. We con- firmed that AH Cnc is a deep contact （f = 51%）, low mass-ratio （q - 0.156） system. Adopting the distance modulus derived from study of the host cluster, we have re-calculated the physical parameters of the binary system, namely the masses and radii. The masses and radii of the two components were estimated to be respectively 1.188（4.0.061） Me, 1.332（4.0.063） RQ for the primary component and 0.185（4.0.032） Me, 0.592（4.0.051） Re for the secondary. By adding the newly derived minimum timings to all the available data, the period variations of AH Cnc were studied. This shows that the orbital period of the binary is con- tinuously increasing at a rate of dp/dt = 4.29 x 10-10 d yr-1. In addition to the long-term period increase, a cyclic variation with a period of 35.26 yr was determined, which could be attributed to an unresolved tertiary component of the system.

Recent studies have demonstrated a central role for plasma cells in the development of autoimmune diseases,such as systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).Currently,both the phenotypic features and functional regulation of autoreactive plasma cells during SLE pathogenesis remain largely *** this study,we first found that a major subset of IL-17 receptor-expressing plasma cells potently produced anti-dsDNA IgG upon IL-17A(IL-17)stimulation in SLE patients and lupus *** a humanized lupus mouse model,we showed that the transfer of Th17 cell-depleted PBMCs from lupus patients resulted in a significantly reduced plasma cell response and attenuated renal damage in recipient mice compared to the transfer of total SLE ***,long-term BrdU incorporation in lupus mice detected highly enriched long-lived BrdU+subsets among IL-17 receptor-expressing plasma *** mice deficient in IL-17 or IL-17 receptor C(IL-17RC)exhibited a diminished plasma cell response and reduced autoantibody production with attenuated renal damage,while the adoptive transfer of Th17 cells triggered the plasma cell response and renal damage in IL-17-deficient lupus *** reconstituted chimeric mice,IL-17RC deficiency resulted in severely impaired plasma cell generation but showed no obvious effect on germinal center B *** mechanistic studies revealed that IL-17 significantly promoted plasma cell survival via p38-mediated Bcl-xL transcript ***,our findings identified a novel function of IL-17 in enhancing plasma cell survival for autoantibody production in lupus pathogenesis,which may provide new therapeutic strategies for the treatment of SLE.
