The topological pressure for subadditive sequence of discontinuous functions is defined on any invariant subset having a nested family of subsets in the compact metric space. Two subadditive variational principles associated with two different relatively weak conditions are developed for the defined topological pressure. As an application, we give an example on systems with nonzero Lyapunov exponents.

Supramolecular systems feature dynamic,reversible and stimuli-responsive characteristics,which are not easily achieved by molecular *** last decade has witnessed tremendous advances in the investigations of supramolecular systems for various bioapplications,which include drug delivery,anticancer therapy,antibacterial therapy,photodynamic therapy,photothermal therapy,combination therapy,antidotes for residual drugs or toxins,and bioimaging and ***-guest chemistry has played a key role in the development of such bioactive supramolecular systems,and natural macrocycles(such as cyclodextrins),synthetic macrocycles(such as calixarenes,cucurbit[n]urils,and pillararenes),and porous framework polymers(such as supramolecular organic frameworks and flexible organic frameworks)have been most successfully used as hosts to build different kinds of host-guest systems for attaining designed *** self-assembly of rationally designed amphiphilic molecules,macromolecules and polymers represent another important approach for the construction of supramolecular architectures with advanced *** this review,we summarize the important contributions made by Chinese researchers in this field,with emphasis on those reported in the past five years.

We present the interstellar scintillation analysis of fast radio burst(FRB)20220912A during its extremely active episode in 2022using data from the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope(FAST).We detect a scintillation arc in the FRB’s secondary spectrum,which describes the power in terms of the scattered FRB signals’time delay and Doppler *** arc indicates that the scintillation is caused by a highly localized *** analysis favors a Milky Way origin of the ionized interstellar medium(IISM)for the localized scattering medium but cannot rule out a host galaxy *** present our method for detecting the scintillation arc,which can be applied generally to sources with irregularly spaced bursts or *** methods could help shed light on the complex interstellar environment surrounding the FRBs and in our Galaxy.

Ralstonia solanacearum causes a lethal bacterial wilt disease in many crops,leading to huge losses in crop production every *** of *** interactions will aid to develop efficient strategies to control the *** a soilborne pathogen,*** naturally infects plants via roots.A huge limitation in studying *** interactions is the large variation of *** infection assay due to the variable soil conditions and uneven inoculum ***,we developed a robust and reliable Petri-dish inoculation method which allows consistent and stable infection in young plant *** method is easy to use,takes about only 10 days from seed germination to the completion of inoculation assay,and requires less inoculum of bacteria as well as growth chamber *** proved the efficacy of the seedling Petri-dish inoculation method by analyzing plant defense primed by molecular patterns,resistance of defense-related plant mutants,and virulence of *** ***,we demonstrated that the seedling Petri-dish inoculation method can be applied to other host plants such as tobacco and has great potential for high-throughput screening of resistant plant germplasms to bacterial wilt in the future.

AIM： TO screen the differential expressed genes in colorectal cancer and polyp tissue samples. METHODS： Tissue specimens containing 16 cases of colorectal adenocarcinoma and colorectal polyp vs nor- mal mucosae were collected and subjected to cDNA microarray and bioinformatical analyses. Quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction （qRT- PCR） was used to confirm some of the cDNA microarray ***： The experimental data showed that eight genes were differentially expressed, most of which were upregulated in adenomatous polyp lesions. Forty-six genes expressions were altered in colorectal cancers, of which 29 were upregulated and 17 downregulated, as compared to the normal mucosae. In addition, 18 genes were similarly altered in both adenomatous polyps and colorectal cancer, qRT-PCR analyses confirmed the cDNA microarray data for four of those 18 genes： MTA1, PDCD4, TSC1 and PDGFRA. CONCLUSION： These differentially expressed genes likely represent biomarkers for early detection of co- Iorectal cancer and may be potential therapeutic targets after confirmed by further studies.

This study investigated whether high-normal thyrotropin（TSH） levels are associated with metabolic syndrome in euthyroid Chinese people≥40 years *** and metabolic factors were assessed in 2,356 subjects（40-77 years old） with TSH levels in the normal range（0.35-5.00 mU/L）.Using 2.50 mU/L as the cut-off point of TSH level within the normal range,we divided subjects into the high-TSH（2.50-5.00 mU/L;n= 1,064） and low-TSH（0.35-2.50mU/L;n= 1,292） *** results showed that the mean levels of body mass index（BMI）,total cholesterol（TC）,low density lipoprotein cholesterol（LDL-C）,and fasting plasma glucose（FPG） were higher in the high-TSH group and TSH levels were significantly positively con-elated with BMI,LDL-C,TC,and *** prevalence of central obesity,hypertriglyceridemia,low high density lipoprotein cholesterol（HDL-C）,and high FPG（〉5.60 mmol/L） was significantly higher in females and subjects with high-TSH *** syndrome was also more prevalent in the high-TSH *** over the age of 40 years with high-normal TSH levels had a 1.2-fold increased risk of metabolic syndrome,compared with those with low-normal TSII levels,after adjusting for age and *** conclusion,high normal TSH is a risk factor for metabolic syndrome in people ≥40 years old.

Theγ-ray emission from the W51 complex is widely acknowledged to be attributed to the interaction between the cosmic rays(CRs)accelerated by the shock of supernova remnant(SNR)W51C and the dense molecular clouds in the adjacent star-forming region,***,the maximum acceleration capability of W51C for CRs remains *** on observations conducted with the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory(LHAASO),we report a significant detection ofγrays emanating from the W51 complex,with energies from 2 to 200 *** LHAASO measurements,for the first time,extend theγ-ray emission from the W51 complex beyond 100 TeV and reveal a significant spectrum bending at tens of *** combining the"π^(0)-decay bump"featured data from Fermi-LAT,the broadbandγ-ray spectrum of the W51 region can be well-characterized by a simple pp-collision *** observed spectral bending feature suggests an exponential cutoff at~400 TeV or a power-law break at~200 TeV in the CR proton spectrum,most likely providing the first evidence of SNRs serving as CR accelerators approaching the PeV ***,two young star clusters within W51B could also be theoretically viable to produce the most energeticγrays observed by *** findings strongly support the presence of extreme CR accelerators within the W51 complex and provide new insights into the origin of Galactic CRs.

Recently, Worobey et al.(2022) published a report entitled ‘The Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market in Wuhan was the early epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic’ that succinctly summarizes their study [1]. A pre-print version of this study had earlier elicited a series of highprofile media coverages [2,3]. All these reports deliver a social-political message that the Huanan market is the epicenter of COVID-19.
