The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the urgent need to strengthen public health *** response,the United Nations Disaster Risk Reduction(UNDRR) Public Health System Resilience Scorecard(Scorecard) was applied in workshops across multiple *** aim of our research was to explore the workshop findings to develop priority strategies for strengthening public health system *** conducted a workshop from 14 to 16 March 2023,at the UNDRR Global education and Training Institute in Incheon,Republic of Korea.A sequential modified Delphi method was utilized to develop a set of prioritized resilience *** were drawn from 70 strategies identified from 13 distinct workshops in eight *** two surveys,23 strategies were *** received ratings of "High" or Very High" from89% of *** related to the inclusion of public health risks in emergency plans,integrating multidisciplinary teams into public health,enabling local transport mechanisms,and improving the ability to manage an influx of *** Scorecard provides an adaptable framework to identify and prioritize strategies for strengthening public health system *** leveraging this methodology,our study demonstrated how resilience strategies could inform disaster risk reduction funding,policies,and actions.

Leaf-color modification can affect canopy photosynthesis,with potential effects on rice yield and yield *** source-sink relationships through crop management is often used to improve crop *** study investigated whether and how modifying leaf color alters source-sink relationships and whether current crop cultivation practices remain applicable for leaf-color modified *** collected data of total biomass and nitrogen(N)accumulation in rice genotypes of four genetic backgrounds and their leaf-color modified variants(greener or yellower)were analyzed,using a recently established modelling method to quantify the source-sink(im)balance during grain *** all leaf-color variants,only one yellower-leaf variant showed a higher source capacity than its normal *** was associated with greater post-flowering N-uptake that prolonged the functional leaf-N duration,and this greater post-flowering N-uptake was possible because of reduced pre-flowering N-uptake.A density experiment showed that current management practices(insufficient planting density accompanied by abundant N application)are unsuitable for the yellower-leaf genotype,ultimately limiting its yield ***-color modification affects source-sink relationships by regulating the N trade-off between pre-and post-flowering uptake,as well as N translocation between source and sink *** best exploit leaf-color modification for improving crop productivity,adjustments of crop management practices are required.

The key-value store can provide flexibility of data types because it does not need to specify the data types to be stored in advance and can store any types of data as the value of the key-value *** types of studies have been conducted to improve the performance of the key-value store while maintaining its ***,the research efforts storing the large-scale values such as multimedia data files(e.g.,images or videos)in the key-value store were *** this study,we propose a new key-value store,WR-Store++aiming to store the large-scale values ***,it provides a new design of separating data and index by working with the built-in data structure of the Windows operating system and the file *** utilization of the built-in data structure of the Windows operating system achieves the efficiency of the key-value store and that of the file system extends the limited space of the storage *** also present chunk-based memory management and parallel processing of WR-Store++to further improve its performance in the GeT *** the experiments,we show that WR-Store++can store at least 32.74 times larger datasets than the existing baseline key-value store,WR-Store,which has the limitation in storing large-scale data ***,in terms of processing efficiency,we show that WR-Store++outperforms not only WR-Store but also the other state-ofthe-art key-value stores,LevelDB,RocksDB,and BerkeleyDB,for individual key-value operations and mixed workloads.

Aim： To investigate eP4-selective agonist effect on indomethacin-induced gastric lesions and on the spontaneous healing of chronic gastric ulcers. MeTHODS： In a mouse model of gastric bleeding with high dose of indomethacin （20 mg/kg）, an eP4-selective agonist was administered orally. Stomach lesions and gastric mucous regeneration were monitored. In a mouse model of chronic gastric ulcer induced by acetic acid, eP4 agonist effect on the healing of chronic gastric ulcer was evaluated in the presence or absence of low dose indomethadn （3 mg/kg）. In cultured human gastric mucous cells, eP4 agonist effect on indomethacin- induced apoptosis was assessed by flow cytometry. ReSULTS： The eP4-selective agonist reduced high dose indomethacin-induced acute hemorrhagic damage and promoted mucous epithelial regeneration. Low-dose indomethacin aggravated ulcer bleeding and inflammation, and delayed the healing of the established chronic gastric ulcer. The eP4 agonist, when applied locally, not only offset indomethacin-induced gastric bleeding and inflammation, but also accelerated ulcer healing. In the absence of indomethacin, the eP4 agonist even accelerated chronic gastric ulcer healing and suppressed inflammatory cell infiltration in the granulation tissue. In vitro, the eP4 agonist protected human gastric mucous cells from indomethacin-induced ***： eP4-selective agonist may prevent indomethacin-induced gastric lesions and promote healing of existing and i ulcers, via promoting mucous epithelial cells. proliferation and survival of mucous epithelial cells.

Aim:To obtain pathophysiological meanings of lysophosphatidylcholine（LPC）through the investigation of the effects of LPC in Jurkat T ***:Wemeasured ROS generation,[Ca2+]i,and mitochondrial membrane potential（MMP）by fluorescent spectrometry in Jurkat,T ***:We observed that LPCsignificantly increased the reactive oxygen species（ROS）level in human Jurkat *** structurally-related lysolipids and eleven synthetic LPCs with dif-ferent acyl chain lengths,palmitoyl LPC increased ROS to the highest level,α-Tocopherol,an antioxidant,and rottlerin PKCδ inhibitor were inhibitory effects onLPC-induced ROS *** rapidly depolarized MMP and markedly el-evated [Ca2+]iby Ca2+influx across the plasma ***,LPC-inducedROS increase seemed to not be related with LPC-induced depolarization of MMPor [Ca2+]iincrease.G2A family G protein-coupled receptors（GPCR）for lysolipidswere expressed in Jurkat T cells,however,evidence indicated that GPCR was notinvolved in LPC ***:LPC induced several cellular changes inJurkat T cells,including an increase of ROS generation in a PKCδ-dependent andGPCR-independent manner,increase of [Ca2+]ithrough Ca2+influx,and decreaseof ***-induced actions in Jurkat T cells represent novel action modes ofLPC that do not involve GPCR and multiple independent changes of intracellularsignaling molecules.

Automatically segmenting crops and weeds in the image input from cameras accurately is essential in various agricultural technology fields,such as herbicide spraying by farming robots based on crop and weed segmentation ***,crop and weed images taken with a camera have motion blur due to various causes(e.g.,vibration or shaking of a camera on farming robots,shaking of crops and weeds),which reduces the accuracy of crop and weed ***,robust crop and weed segmentation for motion-blurred images is ***,previous crop and weed segmentation studies were performed without considering motion-blurred *** solve this problem,this study proposed a new motion-blur image restoration method based on a wide receptive field attention network(WRA-Net),based on which we investigated improving crop and weed segmentation accuracy in motion-blurred ***-Net comprises a main block called a lite wide receptive field attention residual block,which comprises modified depthwise separable convolutional blocks,an attention gate,and a learnable skip *** conducted experiments using the proposed method with 3 open databases:BoniRob,crop/weed field image,and rice seedling and weed *** to the results,the crop and weed segmentation accuracy based on mean intersection over union was 0.7444,0.7741,and 0.7149,respectively,demonstrating that this method outperformed the state-of-the-art methods.

Intercropping maize with the prostrate variety of mungbean, Vigna radiata （L.） Wilczek which grows flat along the ground can increase parasitism of the eggs of the Asian corn borer, Ostrinia furnacalis （Guenée）, a crucial insect pest of maize in China, by Trichogramma ostriniae Pang Chen. This study investigated the behavioural responses of T. ostriniae to plant volatiles emitted from whole plants, leaves, and flowers of prostrate and erect varieties of mungbean in a 4-armed olfactometer. Female parasitiods were significantly attracted to the odours from some varieties of prostrate mungbean when the visit duration and the number of visits were considered, but were not attracted to the odours from any erect varieties. The attractive odours were shown to emanate from the leaves, rather than from the flowers of prostrate mungbean plants. These results have implications for the augmentation of Trichogramma parasitoids in bio-control of O. furnacalis and other crop pests.
