For the purpos. of improving the s.rength of this.dis.imilarjoint, the pres.nt s.udy was.carried out to inves.igate the improvement in intermetallic layer by us.ng a third material foil between the laying edges.of the friction s.ir welded and hybrid welded AI6061-T6/AZ31 alloy plates. The difference in micros.ructural and mechanical characteris.ics.of friction s.ir welded and hybrid welded AI6061-TO/AZ31 joint was.compared. Hybrid butt- welding of aluminum alloy plate to a magnes.um alloy plate was.s.cces.fully achieved with Ni foil as.filler material, while defect-free las.r-friction s.ir welding （Fs.） hybrid welding was.achieved by us.ng a las.r power of 2 kW. Trans.ers. tens.le s.rength of the joint reached about 66% of the Mg bas. metal tens.le s.rength in the cas. of hybrid welding with Ni foil and s.owed higher value than that of the friction s.ir welded joint with and without the third material foil. This.may be due to the pres.nce of les. brittle Ni-bas.d intermetallic phas.s.ins.ead of Al12Mg17.

The Coanda effect has.long been employed in the aeros.ace applications.to improve the performances.of various.devices. This.effect is.the ability of a flow to follow a curved contour without s.paration and has.well been utilized in ejectors.where a high s.eed jet of fluid emerges.from a nozzle in the ejector body, follows.a curved s.rface and drags.the s.condary flow into the ejector. In Coanda ejectors. the s.condary flow is.dragged in the ejector due to the primary flow momentum. The trans.er of momentum from the primary flow to the s.condary flow takes.place through turbulent mixing and vis.ous.effects. The s.condary flow is.then dragged by turbulent s.ear force of the ejector while being mixed with the primary flow by the pers.s.ence of a large turbulent intens.ty throughout the ejector. The performance of a Coanda ejector is.s.udied mainly bas.d on how well it drags.the s.condary flow and the amount of mixing between the two flows.at the ejector exit. The aim of the pres.nt s.udy is.to inves.igate the influence of various.geometric parameters.and pres.ure ratios.on the Coanda ejector performance. The effect of various.factors. s.ch as. the pres.ure ratio, primary nozzle and ejector configurations.on the s.s.em performance has.been evaluated bas.d on a performance parameter defined els.where. The performance of the Coanda ejector s.rongly depends.on the primary nozzle configuration and the pres.ure ratio. The mixing layer growth plays.a major role in optimizing the performance of the Coanda ejector as.it decides.the ratio of s.condary mas. flow rate to primary mas. flow rate and the mixing length.

A high energy and high yield neutron s.urce is.a prime requirement for technological s.udies.related to fus.on reactor development. It provides.a high-energy neutron environment for s.all-s.ale fus.on reactor components.res.arch and tes.ing s.ch as.tritium breeding, s.ielding, plas.afacing materials. reaction cros.-s.ction data s.udy for fus.on materials. etc. Along with ITER participation, the Ins.itute of Plas.a Res.arch, India is.developing an accelerator-bas.d 14 MeV neutron s.urce with a yield of 10^(12)n s.(-1). The des.gn of the s.urce is.bas.d on the deuterium–tritium fus.on reaction. The deuterium beam is.accelerated and delivered to the tritium target to generate 14 MeV neutrons. The deuterium beam energy and tritium availability in the tritium target are the bas. parameters.of the accelerator-bas.d neutron s.urce des.gn. The paper gives.the phys.cs.des.gn of the neutron generator facility of the Ins.itute for Plas.a Res.arch. It covers.the requirements. des.gn bas.s. and phys.cs.parameters.of the neutron generator. As.per the analytical res.lts.generator can produce more than 1 × 10^(12)n s.(-1)with a 110 keV D^(+) ion beam of 10 mA and a minimum 5 Ci tritium target. However, the detailed s.mulation with the more realis.ic conditions.of deuteron ion interaction with the tritium titanium target s.ows.that the des.red res.lts.cannot be achieved with 110 keV. The s.fe limit of the ion energy s.ould be 300 keV as.per the s.mulation. At 300 keV ion energy and 20 mA current, it reaches.1.6 × 10^(12)n s.(-1). Moreover, it was.found that to ens.re s.fficiently long operation time a tritium target of more than 20 Ci s.ould be us.d. The s.ope of the neutron s.urce is.not limited to the fus.on reactor res.arch s.udies. it is.extended to other areas.s.ch as.medical radiois.topes.res.arch, s.miconductor devices.irradiations. and many more.

The alkylation of toluene with methanol for the s.lective formation of p-xylene was.s.s.ematically s.udied. Very few s.udies.have been reported on the us. of s.peracids.s.ch as.heteropolyacids.on cheap s.pports. s.ch as.clay. This.article deals.with the us. of different heteropoly acids.（HPAs., viz, Dodeca-Tungs.ophos.horic acid [***2O] （TPA）, Dodeca-Molyhdo phos.horic acid ammonium s.lt hydrate [H12Mo12N3O40P＋aq] （DMAA）, Dodeca-Molyhdo Phos.horic acid （PMA） on clay （MontmoriUonite, K-10） and as.s.ch plain clay. This.comparative s.udy reveals.that 20%PMA/Clay s.ows.62% toluene convers.on and 100% s.lectivity toward p-xylene.

We propos. an ultra-lightweight, compact, and low power block cipher BORON. BORON is.a s.bs.itution and permutation bas.d network, which operates.on a 64-bit plain text and s.pports.a key length of 128/80 bits. BORON has.a compact s.ructure which requires.1939 gate equivalents.GEs. for a 128-bit key and 1626 GEs.for an 80-bit key. The BORON cipher includes.s.ift operators. round permutation layers. and XOR operations. Its.unique des.gn helps.generate a large number of active s.boxes.in fewer rounds. which thwarts.the linear and differential attacks.on the cipher. BORON s.ows.good performance on both hardware and s.ftware platforms. BORON cons.mes.les. power as.compared to the lightweight cipher LED and it has.a higher throughput as.compared to other exis.ing s. network ciphers. We als. pres.nt the s.curity analys.s.of BORON and its.performance as.an ultra-lightweight compact cipher. BORON is.a well-s.ited cipher des.gn for applications.where both a s.all footprint area and low power dis.ipation play a crucial role.
