Objective:To report the clinical maternal and fetal outcomes of pregnant women with coronavirus disease 2019(cOVID-19),along with any associated pregnancy complications,in Hong Kong,china,and to assess the impact of cOVID-19 vaccination on these ***:This prospective registry-based observational study included pregnant women who were r.c.uited through convenient sampling and had a laboratory-confirmed severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection with a cycle threshold(ct)value result available on admission to eight local hospitals in Hong Kong,*** on clinical symptoms,laboratory results,medical treatments,delivery timing and mode,and pregnancy complications were extr.c.ed from the Hospital Authority’s electronic medical r.c.rd ***,fetal,and pregnancy outcomes were compared between unvaccinated pregnant women with cOVID-19 and those who had r.c.ived at least one dose of cOVID-19 vaccine before *** continuous variables and categor.c.l variables were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test and the Pearson’s chi-squared test respectively.A P value less than 0.05 was considered statistically ***:A total of 164 pregnant women were included,of whom 78(47.56%)were ***-19 was diagnosed before 28 weeks’gestation in 30(18.29%),while 134(81.71%)were diagnosed at or after 28 weeks’***-two(37.80%)women r.c.ived at least one dose of cOVID-19 *** were no significant differences between vaccinated and unvaccinated groups in the time interval between cOVID-19 diagnosis and delivery,the ct value,and the gestational age at infection onset or delivery(P>0.05).The majority of women were symptomatic at diagnosis regardless of vaccination status 55(88.71%)in vaccinated group vs.78(76.47%)in unvaccinated group(P=0.052).Symptoms did not significantly differ between groups except for.c.ugh(62.90%vs.47.06%,P=0.049).The overall rate of severe cOVID-19 in pregnant women was *** t

Deuterium isotope effects in the cO2-reforming of methane to syngas were firstinvestigated over SiO2-supported rhodium catalysts. Normal deuterium isotop effect was morenoticeable on the methane conversion reaction than on the cO formation reaction, while there wasno such effect on the cO2 conversion reaction. It can be concluded that the dissociation of the c-Hbond in methane is a key mp and some cO is formed by the reverse water-gas shift reaction.

Using electrode as laser.c.adding materials, the microstr.c.ure and wear resistance of laser.c.ad layer of ductile cast iron was studied. The laser.c.ad layer.c.n be subdivided into the melted zone where existed large amounts of austenite, graphite nodules and some carbides, and the solid state transformation zone which included martensite and austenite below the melted zone. The Ti combined with c to form Tic increasing the wear resistance; The co significantly increased the wear resistance compared with Ti.

AIM To obtain greater antigenicity of HcV NS3 protein. METHODS The HcV NS3 cDNA fragment was amplified by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction from the sera of the HcV infected patients. The DNA sequence was determined by dideoxy mediated chain termination method using T7 polymerase. HcV NS3 protein was expressed in E. coli . rESULTS Sequence analysis indicated that the HcV isolate of this study belongs to HcV Ⅱ; SDS PAGE demonstrated an M r 23800 and an M r 22000 r.c.mbinant protein band which amount to 14% and 11% of the total bacterial proteins separately. Western blotting and ELISA showed NS3 protein possessed greater antigenicity. cONcLUSION r.c.mbinant HcV NS3 protein was expressed successfully, which provided the basis for developing HcV diagnostic reagents.

Intrauterine injection and zymography were used to investigate the effect of nitr.c.oxide (NO) on embryo implantation in mice. On day 3, one uterine horn of female pregnant mice was injected intraluminally with various doses of nitr.c.oxide synthase (NOS) inhibitor, N-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME), while the contralateral horn served as control. Animals were sacrificed by cervical dislocation on day 7 of gestation, and the number of implanted embryos in each horn was calculated. The results showed that lower doses (0.05mg L-NAME) did not inhibit implantation significantly (P > 0.05), but high doses (0.2 mg L- NAME) resulted in a significant reduction in the number of implanted embryos (P co-administration of SNP, a generator of NO, with L-NAME would reverse the anti-implantation effect of L-NAME. To further understand the pr.c.se mechanism of NO in implantation, matrix metallo-proteinase (MMPs) activities were detected by gelatin zymography. The reduction in the number of implanted

In situ FTIr spectra have been used to char.c.erize surface oxygen and adspccies on 20%SrF2/La2O3 catalyst and for the oxidative coupling of methane (OcM).The O2- sur face superoxide with char.c.eristic vibration frequency at 1113-1123 cm-1 was formed on the sample after treatment with H2 at 700℃ following exposure to O2 at temperatures between 650℃ and 25℃,The O2 adspecies could also be detected on the working sample at 65O℃ and might play an important role in OcM reaction leading to the production of c2H4 from cH4. These results provide evidence that superoxide ions may be the active oxygen on 20%SrF2/La2O3 catalyst during the oxidative coupling of methane.

AIM To obtain human and murine cDNAsencoding IFN--y inducible protein 10 (lP--10) andcytokine responsive gene--2 (crg-2).METHODS The encoding genes of lP-10 and crg2 were amplified by rT--Pcr from cultured humanfibroblast cells and Balb/ c mouse liver treatedby IFN-y and TNF-a, respectively, and clonedinto plasmids of PUc19 and PGEM3Zf(+ ).rESULTS The nucleotide sequences ot theamplified DNA were confirmed by endonucleasesdigestion and *** r.c.mbinant lP-10/ crg--2 geneclones with 306 hp and 314 hp inserts wereestablished for further research on biologicalactivities and ligands of hiP-10/mcrg--2.
