Maize(Zea mays L.), also known as corn, is the third most cultivated crop in the world. Northern corn leaf blight(NCLB) is a globally devastating maize foliar disease caused by Setosphaeria turcica(Luttrell) Leonard and Suggs. Early intelligent diagnosis and warning is an effective and economical strategy to control this disease. Today, deep learning is beginning to play an essential role in agriculture. Notably, deep convolutional neural networks(DCNN) are amongst the most successful machine learning techniques in plant disease detection and diagnosis. Our study aims to identify NCLB in the maize-producing area in Jilin Province based on several DCNN models. We established a database of 985 leaf images of healthy and infected maize and applied data augmentation techniques including image segmentation, image resizing, image cropping, and image transformation, to expand to 30 655 images. Several proven convolutional neural networks, such as AlexNet, Google Net, VGG16, and VGG19, were then used to identify diseases. Based on the best performance of the DCNN pre-trained model Google Net, some of the recent loss functions developed for deep facial recognition tasks such as Arc Face, Cos Face, and A-Softmax were applied to detect NCLB. We found that a pre-trained Google Net architecture with the Softmax loss function can achieve an excellent accuracy of 99.94% on NCLB diagnosis. The analysis was implemented in Python with two deep learning frameworks, Pytorch and Keras. The techniques, training, validation, and test results are presented in this paper. Overall, our study explores intelligent identification technology for NCLB and effectively diagnoses NCLB from images of maize.

Security issues are always difficult to deal with in mobile ad hoe networks. People seldom studied the costs of those security schemes respectively and for some security methods designed and adopted beforehand, their effects are often investigated one by one. In fact, when facing certain attacks, different methods would respond individually and result in waste of resources. Making use of the cost management idea, we analyze the costs of security measures in mobile ad hoc networks and introduce a security framework based on security mechanisms cost management. Under the framework, the network system＇s own tasks can be finished in time and the whole network＇s security costs can be decreased. We discuss the process of security costs computation at each mobile node and in certain nodes groups. To show how to use the proposed security framework in certain applications, we give examples of DoS attacks and costs computation of defense methods. The results showed that more secure environment can be achieved based on the security framework in mobile ad hoc networks.

AIM To assess the role of three-dimensional endoanal ultrasound (3D-EAUS) for morphological assessment of the anal sphincter of female patients with chronic proctalgia (CP). METHODS In this unmatched case control study, 30 consecutive female patients with CP and 25 normal women (control group) were enrolled. 3D-EAUS was performed in all subjects. Thickness and length of internal anal sphincter (IAS), thickness of puborectalis muscle (PR), length of the external anal sphincter (EAS) plus PR, and puborectalis angle were measured and compared between the two groups. RESULTS Patients with CP had significantly shorter IAS length and greater PR thickness, as compared to those in normal individuals (26.28 +/- 3.59 mm vs 28.87 +/- 4.84 mm, P 0.05). Puborectalis angle in the CP group was significantly decreased, both in resting (88.23 degrees +/- 1.81 degrees vs 89.94 degrees +/- 2.07 degrees in control group, P 0.05). CONCLUSION The association of greater PR thickness and paradoxical contraction of PR with CP suggest their potential value as markers of CP.

Aiming to find suitable electrolytes for electric double layer capacitor （EDLC）,the relationship between the formation velocity of electric double layer and the specific capacitance in different electrolyte （H 2 SO 4,KOH,KCl,NH 4 Cl,and LiOH） solutions was investigated by cyclic voltammetry and AC impedance with varying frequency and potential,which was also analyzed based on Stern model and Gouy-Chapman diffusion layer *** shows that the capacitance is positively correlated with the formation velocity of the electric double layers,which is affected by the type of ions applied,the concentration of the electrolyte solution,and the potential and frequencies as *** electrolyte solutions of 6 mol/L KOH and 4 mol/L H2SO4 provide the largest capacitance,reaching 214 and 186 μF/cm^ 2,*** 6 mol/L KOH and 4 mol/L H 2 SO 4 solutions are suitable electrolytes for EDLC applications using Pt as electrodes.

In this paper we calculate the production of a charged top pion in association with a W boson at theCERN Large Hadron Collider（LHC）in the context of the topcolor assisted technicolor *** find that the crosssection of pp →b■→W±π_t-+is roughly corresponding to the result of the process pp→b■→W±H-+in the minimalsupersymmetric standard model,and for reasonable ranges of the parameters,the cross section can reach a few *** W±π_t?signal should be clearly visible at LHC unless π_t?is very heavy.

Sclerotinia stem rot,caused by Sclerotinia sclerotiorum,is a destructive soil-borne disease leading to huge yield *** previously reported that Klebsiella variicola FH-1 could degrade atrazine herbicides,and the vegetative growth of atrazine-sensitive crops(i.e.,soybean)was significantly increased in the FH-1-treated ***,we found that FH-1 could promote soybean growth and induce resistance to *** our study,strain FH-1 could grow in a nitrogen-free environment,dissolve inorganic phosphorus and potassium,and produce indoleacetic acid and a *** results of pot experiments showed that *** FH-1 promoted soybean plant development,substantially improving plant height,fresh weight,and root length,and induced resistance against *** infection in soybean *** area under the disease progression curve(AUDPC)for treatment with strain FH-1 was significantly lower than the control and was reduced by up to 42.2%within 48 h(P<0.001).Moreover,strain FH-1 rcovered the activities of catalase,superoxide dismutase,peroxidase,phenylalanine ammonia lyase,and polyphenol oxidase,which are involved in plant protection,and reduced malondialdehyde accumulation in the *** mechanism of induction of resistance appeared to be primarily resulted from the enhancement of transcript levels of PR10,PR12,AOS,CHS,and PDF1.2 *** colonization of FH-1 on soybean root,determined using CLSM and SEM,revealed that FH-1 colonized soybean root surfaces,root hairs,and exodermis to form *** summary,*** FH-1 exhibited the biological control potential by inducing resistance in soybean against *** infection,providing new suggestions for green prevention and control.

MongoDB is one of the first commercial distributed databases that support causal *** implementation of causal consistency combines several research ideas for achieving scalability,fault tolerance,and *** its inherent complexity,a natural question arises:"Has MongoDB correctly implemented causal consistency as it claimed?"To address this concern,the Jepsen team has conducted black-box testing of ***,this Jepsen testing has several drawbacks in terms of specification,test case generation,implementation of causal consistency checking algorithms,and testing scenarios,which undermine the credibility of its *** this work,we propose a more thorough design of Jepsen testing of causal consistency of ***,we fully implement the causal consistency checking algorithms proposed by Bouajjani et *** test MongoDB against three well-known variants of causal consistency,namely CC,CCv,and CM,under various scenarios including node failures,data movement,and network *** addition,we develop formal specifications of causal consistency and their checking algorithms in TLA^(+),and verify them using the TLC model *** also explain how TLA^(+) specification can be related to Jepsen testing.
