Skeletal muscle plays a significant role in both local and systemic energy metabolism. The current investigation aims to explore the role of the Bambi gene in skeletal muscle, focusing on its implications for muscle hypertrophy and systemic metabolism. We hypothesize that skeletal muscle-specific deletion of Bambi induces muscle hypertrophy, improves metabolic performance, and activates thermogenic adipocytes via the reprogramming of progenitor of i WAT, offering potential therapeutic strategies for metabolic syndromes. Leveraging the Chromatin immunoprecipitation(ChIP)-seq and bioinformatics analysis, Bambi gene is shown to be a direct target of HIF2α, which is further confirmed by ChIP-qPCR and promoter luciferase assay. Skeletal muscle-specific Bambi deletion led to significant muscle hypertrophy and improved metabolic parameters, even under high-fat diet conditions. This deletion induced metabolic reprogramming of stromal vascular fractions(SVFs) into thermogenic adipocytes, contributing to systemic metabolic improvements, potentially through the secretory ***, mice with skeletal muscle-specific Bambi deletion demonstrate resistance to high-fat diet-induced metabolic disorders, highlighting a potential therapeutic pathway for metabolic syndrome management. Thus, skeletal muscle-specific deletion of Bambi triggers muscle growth, enhances metabolic performance, and activates thermogenic adipocytes. These findings suggest Bambi as a novel therapeutic target for metabolic syndromes, providing new insights into the interaction between muscle hypertrophy and systemic metabolic improvement. The study underscores the potential of manipulating muscle physiology to regulate whole-body metabolism, offering a novel perspective on treating metabolic disorders.

Bounds on the overall properties of composites with ellipsoidal inclusions

A new model is put forward to bound the effective elastic moduli of composites with ellipsoidal inclusions. In the present paper, transition layer for each ellipsoidal inclusion is introduced to make the trial displacement field for the upper bound and the trial stress field for the lower bound satisfy the continuous interface conditions which are absolutely necessary for the application of variational principles. According to the principles of minimum potential energy and minimum complementary energy, the upper and lower bounds on the effective elastic moduli of composites with ellipsoidal inclusions are rigorously derived. The effects of the distribution and geometric parameters of ellipsoidal in- clusions on the bounds of the effective elastic moduli are an- alyzed in details. The present upper and lower bounds are still finite when the bulk and shear moduli of ellipsoidal inclusions tend to infinity and zero, respectively. It should be mentioned that the present method is simple and needs not calculate the complex integrals of multi-point correlation functions. Meanwhile, the present paper provides an entirely different way to bound the effective elastic moduli of composites with ellipsoidal inclusions, which can be developed to obtain a series of bounds by taking different trial displacement and stress fields.

Inverse method was used in single crystal superalloy DD6 processing simulation during solidification. Numerical modeling coupled with experiments has been used to estimate the interface heat transfer coefficient （IHTC） between the surface of slab casting and inner mold. Calculated temperature dependent values of IHTC were obtained from a numerical solution. The calculated temperatures agreed well with the measurement of cooling profile.

The complex effects of different nitrogen （N） contents and thermal routines on the microstructure and mechanical properties of 33Mn2V steels for N80-Class seamless casing tube application were investigated using Gleeble simulation technique. The results showed that the N additions of 0. 014 %- 0. 021 % in the steels for the in-line normalization process （ILNP） increased the strength while the toughngss remained at a high level as compared with the steel with N content of 0. 005 %. It was also revealed that the N addition of 0. 021%could enhance the performance combination of strength and toughness in the steels by using 700 ℃ as the cooling interrupted temperature （CIT） for the non in-line normalizing process （NILNP）. It was further evidenced that the toughness was improved at expense of strength to some degree in all the steels by decreasing reheating temperature for the ILNP, while an increase of CIT for NILNP severely impaired the toughness and slightly improve the strength in the high-N steel with N content of 0. 021%. This can be attributed to the dissolution and precipitation behavior of V（C,N）. The optimization of V （C,N） precipitation could be achieved by enhancing N. The precipitation of V（C, N） in austenite was promoted by cooling to a certain temperature lower than the A,1 for the ILNP. The V（C,N） particles formed in austenite contrib- uted to grain refinement by the VN-induced nucleation of intragranular ferrite, but as a result the effect of precipitation on strengthening would become weaker due to a decrease of the precipitation of V in ferrite.

背景:椎弓根内骨水泥灌注联合椎体成形已被用于治疗Kummell病和椎弓根溶骨性转移瘤等疾病,但该手术方式对相邻椎体及椎间盘的影响尚不明确。目的:应用三维有限元模型探讨经皮椎体成形联合椎弓根强化术治疗重度骨质疏松性椎体骨折对邻近节段椎体以及椎间盘相关生物力学的影响。方法:选择1位已完成经皮椎体成形联合椎弓根强化术的重度骨质疏松性椎体骨折(L1)女性患者,并提取其术前及术后的CT文件,研究范围为T_(12)-L_(2)(包括伤椎、邻近椎体和椎间盘)。通过Mimics、SolidWorks和Geomagic等软件分别建立了术前、术后三维脊柱功能单元的有限元模型。在T_(12)上终板垂直方向加载500 N力矩和10 N·m旋转力矩,模拟前屈、后伸、侧屈和旋转等运动方位,分析手术前后相邻节段椎体终板和椎间盘的应力变化情况。结果与结论:①成功建立了术前和术后脊柱功能单元的三维有限元模型;②通过计算得出,在模拟载荷下,术后T_(12)下终板应力分布更均匀且最大应力值减小,与术前相比无显著差异(P>0.05);术后L_(2)上终板应力分布更均匀且最大应力与术前无显著差异(P>0.05);同样,术后T_(12)/L_(1)、L_(1)/L_(2)椎间盘应力分布也更均匀且最大应力值均显著减小(P<0.05);③因此,经皮椎体成形联合椎弓根强化能够有效改善术后相邻椎体终板和椎间盘的应力分布,并能够减小应力,最终降低术后再骨折风险以及显著延缓椎间盘退变。

The unavoidable dendrite growth and shuttle effect have long been stranglehold challenges limiting the safety and practicality of lithium-sulfur ***,we propose a dual-action strategy to address the lithium dendrite issue in stages by constructing a multifunctional surface-negatively-charged nanodiamond layer with high ductility and robust puncture resistance on polypropylene （PP） *** uniformly loaded compact negative layer can not only significantly enhance electron transmission efficiency and promote uniform lithium deposition,but also reduce the formation of dendrite during early deposition *** importantly,under the strong puncture stress encountered during the deterioration of lithium dendrite growth under limiting current,the high ductility and robust puncture resistance（145.88 MPa） of as-obtained nanodiamond layer can effectively prevent short circuits caused by unavoidable lithium *** Li||Li symmetrical cells assembled with nanodiamond layer modified PP demonstrated a stable cycle of over 1000 h at 2 mA cm-2with a polarization voltage of only 29.3 ***,the negative charged layer serves as a physical barrier blocking lithium polysulfide ions,effectively mitigating capacity *** improved cells achieved a capacity decay of only 0.042%per cycle after 700 cycles at 3 C,demonstrating effective suppression of dendrite growth and capacity attenuation,showing promising prospect.

Magnetic anion exchange resin （MD-1） was prepared from quaternization of magnetic copolymeric resin （glycidyl methacry- late-co-divinylbenzene）. For comparison, magnetic resin MD-0 without quaternization and non-magnetic resin （D-l） were also synthesized for the adsorption process. It was found that the adsorption was mainly contributed to the chemical interaction between quaternary ammonium groups and reactive blue RXHC. Due to the smaller size, MD- 1 had faster adsorption and desorption kinetics than D-1. Coupled with the advantage of easy separation, the magnetic anion exchange resin was considered to be superior to common anion exchange resin in removal of reactive dye.

For the purpose of elevated temperature service and weight reduction in aerospace vehicle applications,a novel Ti-Zr-Fe-Cu-Ni-Co-Mo filler metal was employed to join TiAl to Ni-based superalloy(GH536).The effects of brazing temperature on interfacial microstructure and chemical composition of the joints were *** representative joint microstructure from TiAl substrate to GH536 substrate was primarily composed of four characteristic layers in order:B_(2);Al_(3)NiTi_(2);AlNi_(2)Ti containing Cr-rich(Cr,Ni,Fe)_(ss)(subscript ss represents solid solution),Ni-rich(Ni,Cr,Fe)_(ss) and TiNi3;Cr-rich(Cr,Ni,Fe)_(ss)containing AlNi_(2)Ti,Ni-rich(Ni,Cr,Fe)_(ss) and *** IV has the majority of the brazing seam,while LayerⅡwas the *** the thickness of LayerⅡwas not affected by brazing *** the increase in brazing temperature in the range of 1110-1170℃,both the shear strength and the thickness of brazing seam firstly increased and then *** joint performance was jointly controlled by the thickness of brazing seam,the amounts of microcracks and intermetallic compounds formed in brazing *** maximum shear strength of 183 MPa at room temperature was obtained together with a peak thickness when the joint was brazed at 1150℃for 10 min and the shear fracture mainly occurred in the thinnest LayerⅡAl_(3)NiTi_(2).
