Cobalt(Co)-modified br.wnmiller.te KBiFe_(2)O_(5)(KBFO;[KBiFe_(2(1−x))Co_(2x)O_(5)(x=0,0.05)])polycr.stalline is synthesized following the solid-state r.action *** r.finement of X-r.y diffr.ction data confir.ed the phase pur.ty of KBFO and KBiFe_(1.9)Co_(0.1)O_(5)(KBFCO).The optical bandgap ener.y(Eg)of KBFO decr.ased fr.m 1.59 to 1.51 eV because of Co *** decr.ase in bandgap can be attr.buted to the tilting of the Fe–O tetr.hedr.l str.ctur. of *** obser.ed r.om-temper.tur. r.man peaks of KBFCO shifted by 3 cm^(−1) towar. a lower.wavenumber.than that of *** shift in r.man active modes can be attr.buted to the change in the bond angles and bond lengths of the Fe–O tetr.hedr.l str.ctur. and modification in r.sponse to oxygen deficiency in KBFO because of Co *** with that of KBFO,the fr.quency-dependent dielectr.c constant and dielectr.c loss of KBFCO decr.ase at r.om temper.tur.,which is a consequence of the r.duction in oxygen migr.tion and modification in r.sponse to vibr.tional modes pr.sent in the sample.

The ther.al behavior.of pipes with a twisted tape inside(used to enhance heat tr.nsfer.thr.ugh the tube wall)is studied in the laminar.flow *** is used as the wor. fluid with the cor.esponding r.ynolds Number.spanning the inter.al 200–*** is found that in such conditions the‘Nusselt Number.(Nu)gr.dually incr.ases with r.ducing the tape twist r.tio,wher.as the fr.ction factor.is detr.mentally affected by the pr.sence of the tape(as witnessed by the compar.son with the companion case wher. a plain tube is consider.d).In par.icular.it is shown that the heat tr.nsfer.efficiency can be impr.ved by near.y 69%if tape inser.s with a r.latively low twist r.tio ar. *** the basis of these findings,it is concluded that loose fit tape inser.s ar. super.or.to tight fit tapes in ter.s of heat tr.nsfer.and ease of r.placement.

An exper.ment was conducted on Fluvisols of Awassa for.two consecutive year. （2005-2006） to deter.ine effects of planting patter. and plant density on dr. matter.accumulation, nodulation, pr.tein and oil content in ear.y and late matur.ng soybean var.eties. r.sults indicated that Awassa-95 var.ety pr.duced significantly higher.（P 〈 0.05） number.of nodules/plant （NDN）, nodule dr. matter.（NDM） and leaf dr. matter.（LDM at r. （mid flower.ng） stage of soybean gr.wth than that of var.ety Belessa-95）. Similar.y, var.ety Awassa-95 （45%） pr.duced significantly higher.pr.tein content than var.ety Belessa-95 （40%）. However. var.ety Belessa-95 accumulated significantly higher.（P 〈 0.01） dr. matter.in str.w, gr.in and total biomass at r. （physiological matur.ty） stage of soybean gr.wth than var.ety Awassa-95. Similar.y, oil content of var.ety Belessa-95 （18.1%） was significantly （P 〈 0.05） higher.than that of var.ety Awassa-95 （15.9%）. Equidistant r.ws pr.duced significantly higher.（P 〈 0.05） NDM than either.r.ctangular.or.pair.d r.ws. Mor.over. soybean plants gr.wn in both r.ctangular.and equidistant r.ws pr.duced significantly higher.（P 〈 0.01） str.w dr. matter.than those gr.wn in pair.d r.ws; but, gr.in dr. matter.plant （GDM） was significantly higher.（P 〈 0.01） pair.d and r.ctangular.r.ws compar.d to equidistant r.ws. Plant density also affected the per.plant GDM pr.duction as it was significantly higher.（P 〈 0.01） in 20 and 30 plants/m2 than higher.plant densities （40 and 50 plants/m2）. However. dr. matter.and yield components had str.ng negative association with pr.tein content. In fact, str.ng positive cor.elation （r.〉 0.600） occur.ed between gr.in yield and its components with dr. matter.components at r. （stem dr. matter.（SDM）, leaf dr. matter.（LDM） and stem ＋ nodule ＋ leaf dr. matter.together.known as TDM） and str.w dr. matter.at r. in both var.eties. This study depicted that soybean plants that pr.duce higher.dr. matter.components at r. would pr.bably pr.duce mor. str.w

Despite gr.at pr.gr.ss in the detection and tr.atment of pr.state cancer. this disease r.mains an incr.dible health and economic bur.en. Although andr.gen r.ceptor.（Ar. signaling plays a key r.le in the development and pr.gr.ssion of pr.state cancer. aber.ations in other.molecular.pathways also contr.bute to the disease, making it essential to identify and develop dr.gs against novel tar.ets, both for.the pr.vention and tr.atment of pr.state cancer. One pr.mising tar.et is the per.xisome pr.lifer.tor.activated r.ceptor.gamma （PPAr.） pr.tein. PPAr. was or.ginally thought to act as a tumor.suppr.ssor.in pr.state cells because agonist ligands inhibited the gr.wth of pr.state cancer.cells; however. additional studies found that PPAr. agonists inhibit cell gr.wth independent of PPAr.. Fur.her.or., PPAr. expr.ssion incr.ases with cancer.gr.de/stage, which would suggest that it is not a tumor.suppr.ssor.but instead that PPAr. activity may play a r.le in pr.state cancer.development and/or.pr.gr.ssion. Indeed, two new studies, taking vastly differ.nt, unbiased appr.aches, have identified PPAr. as a tar.et in pr.state cancer.and suggest that PPAr. inhibition might be useful in pr.state cancer.pr.vention and tr.atment. These findings could lead to a new ther.peutic weapon in the fight against pr.state cancer.
