The Surface engineering of nanoparticles has contributed to the development of nanoscience and nanotechnology by designing of new material depends on their surface modifier with series of functional properties and *** dispersed nanoparticles can change or modify the interfacial properties in liquid-liquid system in aqueous phase if their surface is modified by ionic *** interfacial energy in nanoparticles-brine system,the ions tends to modify the transport phenomena in pore channels and improve the *** use of the suspension of the particles at nanoscales can offer some advantages of induced sedimentation stability by surface force easily counter balance the force of *** happened due to their nanosize,nanostructure,high volume to surface ratio and strong rock fluid *** also influences the emulsion stability and alters the surface characteristics of surfactant and polymer within the rock in porous *** of the problems associated with conventional EOR processes have been solved by nanoscience applications due to their potential response to reduce the interfacial tension at low to ultra-low level,wettability reversal and improvement in rheology of formation *** large specific surface area,high reactivity,toughness and other properties of Nanoparticles can immensely improve the oil mobility compare to conventional *** paper updates the latest review,experimental evidences and re-interpretation of past research data and applications in respect of silica and titanium dioxide nanoparticles in different environment within surfactant(s),polymer(s),polymer-surfactant EOR *** nanotechnology therefore is an effective and alternate solution to brush up the traditional EOR approach with state of art technology which can revolutionize the total oil and gas industry and can contributes significantly to enhance the economics of oil field industry.

Stabilizing Energy Consumption in Unequal Clusters of Wireless Sensor Networks

In the past few decades,Energy Efficiency(EE)has been a significant challenge in Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs).WSN requires reduced transmission delay and higher throughput with high quality services,it further pays much attention in increased energy consumption to improve the network *** collect and transmit data Clustering based routing algorithm is considered as an effective *** Head(CH)acts as an essential role in network connectivity and perform data transmission and data aggregation,where the energy consumption is superior to non-CH *** clustering approaches attempts to cluster nodes of same ***,owing to randomly distributed node distribution,a cluster with equal nodes is not an obvious possibility to reduce the energy *** resolve this issue,this paper provides a novel,Balanced-Imbalanced Cluster Algorithm(B-IBCA)with a Stabilized Boltzmann Approach(SBA)that attempts to balance the energy dissipation across uneven clusters in WSNs.B-IBCA utilizes stabilizing logic to maintain the consistency of energy consumption among sensor nodes’.So as to handle the changing topological characteristics of sensor nodes,this stability based Boltzmann estimation algorithm allocates proper radius amongst the sensor *** simulation shows that the proposed B-IBCA outperforms effectually over other approaches in terms of energy efficiency,lifetime,network stability,average residual energy and so on.

Larvicidal and repellent activity of tetradecanoic acid against Aedes aegypti(Linn.) and Culex quinquejasciatus(Say.)(Diptera:Culicidae)

Objective:To investigate the larvicidal and repellent efficacy of tetradecanoic acid against Aedes aegrpti（***） L,and Culex quinquefasciatus（***） Say（Diptera: Culicidae）.Methods:Larvicidal efficacy of tetradecanoic acid was tested at various concentrations against the early third instar larvae of *** and ***. The repellent activity was determined against two mosquito species at three concentrations viz..1.***.2.5 and 5.0 ppm under the laboratory ***:The tetradecanoic acid was found to be more effective against *** than *** *** LC50 values were 14.08 ppm and 25.10 ppm,*** acid showed lesser repellency against *** and *** highest repellency was observed in higher concentration of 5.0 mg/cmp>2p> provided 100%protection up to 60 and 90 min against *** and *** ***:From the results it can be concluded the tetradecanoic acid is a potential for controlling *** and *** mosquitoes.

Lunar surface mineralogy using hyperspectral data： Implications for primordial crust in the Earth-Moon system

Mineralogy of the Lunar surface provides important clues for understanding the composition and evo- lution of the primordial crust in the Earth-Moon system. The primary rock forming minerals on the Moon such as pyroxene, olivine and plagioclase are potential tools to evaluate the Lunar Magma Ocean （LMO） hypothesis. Here we use the data from Moon Mineralogy Mapper （M3） onboard the Chandrayaan- 1 project of India, which provides Visible/Near Infra Red （NIR） spectral data （hyperspectral data） of the Lunar surface to gain insights on the surface mineralogy. Band shaping and spectral profiling methods are used for identifying minerals in five sites： the Moscoviense basin, Orientale basin, Apollo basin, Wegener crater-highland, and Hertzsprung basin. The common presence of plagioclase in these sites is in conformity with the anorthositic composition of the Lunar crust. pyroxenes, olivine and Fe-Mg-spinel from the sample sites indicate the presence of gabbroic and basaltic components. The compositional difference in pyroxenes suggests magmatic differentiation on the Lunar surface. Olivine contains OH/H20 band, indicating hydrous phase in the primordial magmas.

Computational Study on the Influence of Number of Threads on the perfor-mance of Single Screw pump at High Angular Velocities

Fluid flow in a screw pump which rotates at very high angular velocity is numerically analyzed. In the present study, fluid flow in screw pumps under high Reynolds number, of the order of 105, is considered. Screw pump has two major elements, a plain shroud which is a stationary element and a rotating hub with helical grooves contained within the shroud. In this paper, three variants of hubs with different number of thread starts numbering six, eight and twelve in combination with a plain shroud is studied. Each of the three possible combinations are analyzed on the basis of pressure rise developed, efficiency and shaft power. It was seen that pressure rise, efficiency and shaft power increases as the number of threads increases in the range of mass flow rates studied.

Simple colorimetric detection of dopamine using modified silver nanoparticles

Dopamine(DA) plays an important role in health and peripheral nervous systems. Colorimetric detection of DA has the advantage of color change and simplicity in operation and instrumentation. Herein, we report a highly sensitive and selective colorimetric detection of DA by using two specific ligands modified Ag nanoparticles, where the DA molecules can make dual recognition with high specificity. The colloidal suspension of modified Ag nanoparticles was agglomerated after interacting with DA, while the color of Ag nanoparticles suspension changed from yellow to brown, arising from the interparticle plasmon coupling during the aggregation of Ag nanoparticles. The modified Ag nanoparticles suspension and agglomeration were confirmed by transmission electron microscope images. The optical properties behind the color change were thoroughly investigated by using UV-Vis and Raman techniques. The changes in p H, zeta potential, particle size and surface charge density by adding DA were also determined by using dynamic light scattering measurements. The detection limits of modified Ag probes for DA was calculated to be 6.13′10^(-6) mol L^(-1)(S/N=2.04) and the correlation co-efficient was determined to be 0.9878. Because of the simplicity in operation and instrumentation of the colorimetric method, this work may afford a feasible, fast approach for detecting and monitoring the DA levels in physiological and pathological systems.
