The use of a gamma distribution of rain-drop sizes in the calculation of microwave rain attenuation is gaining *** on the CCIR rain attenuation relation aR,a method of calculating the general gamma distribution of raindrop sizes has been developed in this paper using the measured microwave attenuation data varying with the rain *** method,which overcomes the common problems of instability and does not suffer the possibility of multiple solutions,has been tested using a CCIR *** of the calculated results with the data from the CCIR model shows that the method provides the ideal modeling of rain Drop 5ize Distribution(DsD).As an application,the two-year experimental data recorded in singapore has been used to obtain the parameters of the generalized gamma DsD function.

The human gastrointestinal tract is populated with a diverse microbial *** vast genetic and metabolic potential of the gut microbiome underpins its ubiquity in nearly every aspect of human biology,including health maintenance,development,aging,and *** advent of new sequencing technologies and culture-independent methods has allowed researchers to move beyond correlative studies toward mechanistic explorations to shed light on microbiome–host *** has unveiled the bidirectional communication between the gut microbiome and the central nervous system,referred to as the“microbiota–gut–brain axis”.The microbiota–gut–brain axis represents an important regulator of glial functions,making it an actionable target to ameliorate the development and progression of neurodegenerative *** this review,we discuss the mechanisms of the microbiota–gut–brain axis in neurodegenerative *** the gut microbiome provides essential cues to microglia,astrocytes,and oligodendrocytes,we examine the communications between gut microbiota and these glial cells during healthy states and neurodegenerative ***,we discuss the mechanisms of the microbiota–gut–brain axis in neurodegenerative diseases using a metabolite-centric approach,while also examining the role of gut microbiota-related neurotransmitters and gut ***,we examine the potential of targeting the intestinal barrier,blood–brain barrier,meninges,and peripheral immune system to counteract glial dysfunction in ***,we conclude by assessing the pre-clinical and clinical evidence of probiotics,prebiotics,and fecal microbiota transplantation in neurodegenerative diseases.A thorough comprehension of the microbiota–gut–brain axis will foster the development of effective therapeutic interventions for the management of neurodegenerative diseases.

We examine the contributions of the telecommunications infrastructure to economic growth in the Asia-pacific Economic Cooperation （ApEC） economies during the period from 1982 to 2003 using a modified version＇of the model developed by Roller and Waverman （2001）. Our estimation results show that, consistent with Roller and Waverman （2001）, telecommunication infrastructure has a significant effect on economic growth in the ApEC region and that the inclusion of country fixed effects is important for obtaining a more reliable estimate of the growth effect. Moreover, the magnitude of the growth effect is inversely related to the level of telecommunications infrastructure in the ApEC economies. While the marginal effect of an increase in telecommunications infrastructure in the ApEC region is smaller than that in the OECD countries found ir/Roller and Waverman （2001）, the total contribution of telecommunication infrastructure to economic growth is larger in the former than in the latter.

Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based alloys are known to have outstanding thermoelectric *** structure–property relations have been studied,still,detailed analysis of the atomic and nano-scale structure of Bi_(2)Te_(3)thin film in relation to their thermoelectric properties remains poorly ***,highly-textured(HT)and single-crystal-like(sCL)Bi_(2)Te_(3)films have been grown using pulsed laser deposition(pLD)on si wafer covered with(native or thermal)siOx and mica *** films are highly textured with c-axis out-of-plane,but the in-plane orientation is random for the films grown on oxide and single-crystal-like for the ones grown on *** power factor of the film on thermal oxide is about four times higher(56.8μW·cm^(−1)·K^(−2))than that of the film on mica(12.8μW·cm^(−1)·K^(−2)),which is comparable to the one of the polycrystalline ingot at room temperature(RT).Reduced electron scattering in the textured thin films results in high electrical conductivity,where the sCL film shows the highest ***,its seebeck coefficient shows a low *** measured properties are correlated with the atomic structure details unveiled by scanning transmission electron *** instance,the high concentration of stacking defects observed in the HT film is considered responsible for the increase of seebeck coefficient compared to the sCL *** study demonstrates the influence of nanoscale structural effects on thermoelectric properties,which sheds light on tailoring thermoelectric thin films towards high performance.

针对传统的老年人智能监护系统中运动历史图像(motion history image, MHI)动作识别方法仅考虑时间序列特征而难以表示相机光轴方向(即深度方向)上的运动问题,基于传统MHI进行改进,提出一种三重运动表现图像(triplet motion representation images, TMRI)识别方法.该方法首先通过跟踪移动物体表面的特征点计算光流和检测消失点得到动作的深度信息,然后创建包含与传统MHI相同的时间序列图像、表现前景出现频率的重叠度图像以及表现相机光轴方向运动信息的深度图像3种类型的运动历史图像来描述目标对象的动作,最后利用各图像的特征对动作进行识别.结果表明基于MHI的三重运动表现图像方法的平均动作识别准确率可达84.35%,明显高于传统MHI方法的识别准确率(55.43%).

This study shows a novel three-dimensional （3D） parametric body model development using cross-section control and control algorithm retrieved from anthropometric survey. The 3D parametric body model was shaped into the most common body shape of the young Hong Kong female and be able to automatically change its critical body shape according to the user＇s critical body dimension inputs. The control algorithm controls the profile of the parametric model is retrieved from an anthropometric survey using 3D scanner to study the profile change of body and the relation between some critical body dimensions. Compared to the traditional anthropometric surveys, the 3D body scanner provides more accurate body dimension and information as well as new body shape measurements.

＜正＞ To characterize electromagnetic waves in complex media has been an important topic because of its useful applications and scientific significance of its physical mechanism. Dyadic Green’s functions, as a mathematical kernel or a dielectric medium response, relate directly the radiated dectromagnetic fields and the source distribution. In terms of the vector wave functions in cylindrical coordinates, dyadic Green’s functions in a unbounded and a planar, multilayered gltrodectric chiral media are formulated. After a gencral representation of the Green’s dyadics is obtained, the scattering coefficients of the Green’s dyadics are determined from the boundary conditions at each interface and are expressed in a greatly compact form of recurrence matrices. In the formulation of the Green’s dyadics and their scattering coefficients, three cases are considered, i. e. the current source is impressed in （1） the first, （2） the intermediate, and （3） the last regions, respectively. Although the dyadic Green’s functions for a unbounded gyroelectric chiral medium has been reported in the literature, the results are either incorrect or suspicious. As compared to the existing results, the current work basically contributes （1） a correct form of dyadic Green’s function for a unbounded gyroelectric chiral medium, （2） the general representation of the dyadic Green’s functions for a multi-layered gyroelectric chiral medium, and （3） a convincible and direct derivation of the irrotational Green’s dyadic.
