Nutrient management, water quality protection, and irrigation efficiency top the list of on-farm resource concerns indicating a need to address them through conservation strategies. A suite of Best Management practices (BMps) has been identified and recommended, through several outlets, to farmers to ameliorate these concerns. This research examines the adoption of strategies that ameliorate the resource concerns as a joint decision, using a bivariate model. Data from the 2016 Nutrient Management Survey, conducted by the Louisiana Master Farmer program, are used to examine the factors affecting adoption of these conservation practices. A bivariate probit regression found significant results for explanatory variables and emphasize the effect of perception regarding the role of on-farm practices, ownership of land, participation in conservation programs in the past, and producers educational attainment on the like-lihood of adopting the conservation practices. Implications for policy development and educational programs are discussed.

Key management is an essential component of a cryptographic access control system with a large number of *** manages the secret keys assigned to the system entities in such a way that only authorized users can access a *** access control allows read access of a resource by the authorized users and disallows *** important objective of a key management is to reduce the secret key storage with each authorized *** this end,there exist two prominent types of key management hierarchy with single key storage per user used for read access control in data outsourcing scenario:user-based and *** this work,we analyze the two types of hierarchy with respect to static hierarchy characteristics and dynamic operations such as adding or revoking user *** analysis shows that the resource-based hierarchies can be a better candidate which is not given equal emphasis in the literature.A new heuristic for minimizing the key management hierarchy is introduced that makes it practical in use even for a large number of users and *** performance evaluation of dynamic operations such as adding or revoking a user’s read subscription is shown experimentally to support our analytical results.

The medical health systems empowered by wireless body area networks(WBANs)are becoming a reliable technology with unmatched facilities for personalised health monitoring and managing real-time health issues.A WBAN is primarily composed of a miniature,and smart devices called sensors that are worn in,on,or around the human *** recent years,research has been mainly centred towards the reduction of the energy consumption and stability of the *** selection of the relay node is one of the foremost issues for balancing the energy consumption in *** overcome this issue,the authors propose a hybrid analytic hierarchy process-neutrosophic method for making the decision of the relay node selection,in which the analytic hierarchy process(AHp)technique calculates the weights for different criteria and forwards them to the neutrosophic technique which finds out the best alternative solution or choice which is closest to the ideal solution.A detailed analysis is carried out on multi-criteria decision-making techniques by comparing the proposed AHp-neutrosophic and AHp techniques taking into account various criteria and *** experimental outcomes of this research indicate a significant reduction in terms of energy consumption and enhanced overall network-stability.

The A-type Harsora-Dadikar granites in the Alwar complex of northern Aravalli orogen,NW India provide evidence for subsolidus-requilibration of *** record three new discrete stages of albitisation,producing trondhjemite and albitite sequentially at the expense of original ***-I metasomatism deanorthised the magmatic oligoclase and transformed the grey least-albitised granite to pinkish grey microcline-oligoclase ***-II converted the latter to trondhjemite by replacement of microcline to ***-III metasomatism led to the formation of albitite/albite granite from trondhjemite,where the metasomatically formed oligoclase was replaced by *** stage of metasomatism resulted in nearly complete disappearance of amphibole and biotite,producing a monomineralic rock (albitite),which is consistent with Korzhinskii theory of infiltration *** reaction fronts delineating the Stage-II and Stage-III are sharp and easily discernible by their prominent color differences in Harsora on the outcrop ***,the mineral transformations during three stages are manifested by the differential gains/losses in Na,K,Ca,Rb,Ba,Sr,Fe and *** formation of albite,Cl-rich marialitic scapolite and Cl-rich amphibole in the albitised granites are suggestive of Naand Cl-brines as the metasomatising *** fluid-rock interactions,which can significantly transform the pristine mineralogy of granitoids,should be carefully considered to avoid any misinterpretations about their petrological history.

This article deals with the investigation of the effects of porosity distributions on nonlinear free vibration and transient analysis of porous functionally graded skew(pFGS)*** effective material properties of the pFGS plates are obtained from the modified power-law equations in which gradation varies through the thickness of the pFGS plate.A nonlinear finite element(FE)formulation for the overall pFGS plate is derived by adopting first-order shear deformation theory(FSDT)in conjunction with von Karman’s nonlinear strain displacement *** governing equations of the pFGS plate are derived using the principle of virtual *** direct iterative method and Newmark’s integration technique are espoused to solve nonlinear mathematical *** influences of the porosity distributions and porosity parameter indices on the nonlinear frequency responses of the pFGS plate for different skew angles are studied in various *** effects of volume fraction grading index and skew angle on the plate’s nonlinear dynamic responses for various porosity distributions are illustrated in detail.

The undefendable outbreak of novel coronavirus(SARS-COV-2)lead to a global health emergency due to its higher transmission rate and longer symptomatic duration,created a health surge in a short *** Nov 2019 the outbreak in China,the virus is spreading exponentially *** current study focuses on the relationship between environmental parameters and the growth rate of *** statistical analysis suggests that the temperature changes retarded the growth rate and found that-6.28℃ and+14.51℃ temperature is the favorable range for COVID-19 ***-Richter’s relationship is used to estimate the mean daily rate of exceedance of confirmed cases concerning the change in ***,temperature is the most influential parameter that reduces the growth at the rate of 13-17 cases/day with a 1℃ rise in temperature.

The aim of the present work is to evaluate proton exchange membrane(pEM) fuel cell performance with a modified serpentine flow field with right angle turn by numerical modeling. A 3-D pEM fuel cell model of size 50 cm^(2) active area is developed. A conventional serpentine flow field is modified and the same is considered for the supply of reactants. Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) based simulations were conducted to analyse the pressure drop, distribution of reactants(H_(2) and O_(2)), liquid water activity, current flux density and water content in the membrane. From the simulation results, polarization curve is drawn to validate the literature data of pEMFC with the conventional serpentine flow field. Comparison of simulated polarization curve with literature data revealed that modified serpentine flow field performance is better than conventional serpentine flow field as it offers better water exclusion and uniform sharing of reactants. From this study, it is concluded that model of flow field pattern influences the functioning of fuel cell and utmost care must take while selecting a pattern for flow field of pEM fuel cell.

Flavonoid-based nanomaterials have extensive potential in antimicrobial research because of their non-toxicity,large-scale producibility,and chemical *** efficient combination of flavonoids and rare earth metals can have excellent antimicrobial properties owing to their robust medicinal and physicochemical *** this study,we synthesized copper oxide(CuO)nanoparticles(Nps)using a reflux reaction and repeated doping with the rare earth element lanthanum to prepare La-CuO ***,these La-CuO Nps were functionalized with the flavonoid curcumin,and the modified Nps were termed Cu-La-CuO *** Nps were chemically characterized via microscopic and spectroscopic techniques,including transmission electron microscopy(TEM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis)adsorption,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)spectroscopy,and powder X-ray diffraction(XRD)*** SEM-EDX analysis reveals the elements doped into the native CuO *** TEM and XRD characterization results show,in detail,the distinct morphology and phase composition of the prepared CuO,La-CuO,and Cu-La-CuO *** antimicrobial activity of the Cu-La-CuO Nps was investigated on bacteria,such as Escherichia coli(***)and Bacillus subtilis(***),and fungi,including Aspergillus niger(A niger).The Cu-La-CuO Nps delivers excellent antimicrobial effects due to the incorporation of lanthanum and curcumin into the CuO *** Cu-La-CuO Nps show excellent antimicrobial potentials with an adequate zone of inhibition values around 2.2 and 2.9 mm in *** and ***,*** and dead analysis studies suggest the antimicrobial effects of lanthanum and curcumin moieties over native CuO *** obtained results are significant in developing of rare earth metal-based flavo no id-conjugated nanocomposites against typical microbes.
