The Dipterocarpaceae plant family, that shows a disjunct distribution in Gondwanan continents and Southeast Asia, is a dominant constituent of the tropical rain forests of Southeast Asia. The high species diversity of Dipterocarpaceae in SE Asian rain forests suggests its origin from SE Asia. However, its fossil history is much younger, from Oligocene, from the region. Based on the pollen fossil records from the late Cretaceous-early paleogene sedimentary sequences of Indian subcontinent and the contemporaneous distribution of its extant taxa, evolutionary history of Dipterocarpaceae has been traced. The study suggests a West Gondwanan origin for this family. present study also provides first evidence of Dipterocarpaceae genus Vateriopsis (endemic in Seychelles) type fossil pollen record from the late Cretaceous and early palaeogene sedimentary sequences of western Indian margin.

Even though the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)is related to SARS-CoV and Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus(MERS-CoV),identifying effective and safe therapeutic strategies remains *** search of finding effective treatments to eradicate the virus and improve disease symptoms,scientists are exploring possible therapies such as anti-viral,anti-malaria,immune therapy,and hormone ***,the efficacy of these treatments was not validated on either SARS-CoV or *** this study,we have reviewed synthetic evidence achieved through systematic and meta-analysis of therapeutics specific for SARS-CoV-2 and observed that the use of the above-mentioned therapies had no clinical benefits in coronavirus disease 2019 patients and,conversely,displayed side effects.

Angiosperm evolved and diversified during Cretaceous. During this course of evolution and radiation, various pollen of uncertain origin had evolved. Aquilapollenites represents the early stock of angiosperms attaining its acme with respect to diversity and dominance during Campanian and Maastrichtian age. It was globally present (except Antarctica) however more dominant in northern hemisphere (Canada, North America, Sakhlain Oblast and China). In India, the Aquilapollenites sp. is present in Maastrichtian aged deposits. The pollen affinity has been associated with Loranthaceae and Santalaceae plant families. Here, a comparative description of all the Aquilapollenites sp. comprising a wide range of morphological diversity has been discussed. The wider morphological diversity and ecological adaptability of Aquilapollenites sp. infer that it is globally significant and warrants a more detailed study.

Background: Bioenhancers augment the bioavailability of co-administered molecules without showing any significant effect on their own. piperine, an alkaloid from piper nigrum, is an established natural bioenhancer. Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), an antiaging supplement, is the precursor of coenzyme nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) that plays an important role in intracellular redox reactions. Objective: The study compared the serum concentrations of NAD in normal healthy participants, supplemented with NMN 500 mg and NMN 500 mg + 5 mg Bioperine® (95% piperine). Methods: In a randomized, open-label, crossover study, NMN (500 mg) was compared to NMN + Bioperine® (500 mg + 5 mg) in 6 healthy adults, aged 18 - 45 years. The participants received a single oral dose of NMN or NMN + Bioperine® capsules with 240 mL water, and blood samples were collected over 8hr. After a 4-day washout period, the same procedures were repeated as per the crossover design. Total NAD (NADtotal), including oxidized NAD (the oxidized) and its reduced form NADH, was measured in human serum samples. Results: The maximum concentration (Cmax) of NAD in serum was higher with NMN + Bioperine® (282 pmol/mL) compared to NMN (246 pmol/mL) alone. In the presence of Bioperine®, the NAD concentrations reached 257 pmol/mL during the first 2 hr, whereas a comparable serum concentration (246 pmol/mL) was attained only after 6 hr in NMN alone. The AUC0-8hr was 1738 pmol/mL/hr in NMN compared to 2004 pmol/mL/hr in NMN+ Bioperine®. The time to reach peak concentration (t1/2) was similar (6hr) in both groups. No clinically relevant adverse events (AE) were observed, and safety parameters remained within normal ranges in all the participants with both formulations. Conclusion: These results reveal that Bioperine® can effectively increase the NAD concentrations in the serum following NMN supplementation in healthy volunteers. Contrasting REE Signatures on Manganese Ores of Iron Ore Group in North Orissa, India

The distribution pattern of Rare Earth Elements （REE） in three categories of manganese ores viz. stratiform, stratabound-replacement, and detrital of precambrian Iron Ore Group from north Orissa, India was reported. These categories of Mn-ore differed in their major and trace chemistry and exhibited contrasting REE signature. The stratiform ores were relatively enriched in ∑REE content （697 μg·g^-1） and their normalized pattern showed both positive Ce and Eu anomalies, whereas the stratabound-replacement types were comparatively depleted in ∑REE content （211 μg·g^-1） and showed negative Ce and flat Eu signatures. The detrital categories showed mixed REE pattern. The data plotted in different discrimination diagrams revealed a mixed volcaniclastic and chemogenic source of material for stratiform categories, and LREE （Light Rare Earth Elements） and HREE （Heavy Rare Earth Elements） are contributed by such sources, respectively. In contrast, the stratabound ore bodies were developed during the remobilization of stratiform ores, and associated Mncontaining rocks under supergene condition followed by the redeposition of circulating mineralized colloidal solutions in structurally favorable zones. During this process, some of the constituents were found only in very low concentration within stratabound ores, and this is attributed to their poor leachability/mobility. The detrital ores did not exhibit any significant characteristic in respect of REE as their development was via a complex combination of processes involving weathering, fragmentation, recementation, and burial under soil cover.

In order to control the ferrite and austenite percentage in duplex stainless steel welding, many researchers try to change the laser welding parameters and cooling medium, but ignore to study the influence of heat sink effect on weld strength. In this work, the effect of aluminium heat sink and varying cooling medium on the laser welding of duplex stainless steel (DSS) 2205 is studied. The 2 mm thick DSS sheets welded with pulsed Nd: YAG laser welding machine by varying the cooling medium (air and oil) and an aluminium plate used as a heat sink. The welded specimens tested for tensile strength, micro-hardness, distortion, microstructure and radiography analysis. The faster cooling rate in the oil quenching process enhances the ferrite percentage compared with air-cooled samples. But the faster cooling rate in oil quenching leads to more distortion and using aluminium as a heat sink influenced positively the distortion to a small extent. The lower cooling rate in air quenching leads to a higher tensile strength of the welded specimen. The objective of this work is to analyse experimentally the effect of cooling medium and heat sink in the mechanical and metallurgical properties of laser welded duplex stainless steel.

The objective of the current study is to investigate the importance of entropy generation and thermal radiation on the patterns of velocity,isentropic lines,and temperature contours within a thermal energy storage device filled with magnetic nanoencapsulated phase change materials(NEpCMs).The versatile finite element method(FEM)is implemented to numerically solve the governing *** effects of various parameters,including the viscosity parameter,ranging from 1 to 3,the thermal conductivity parameter,ranging from 1 to 3,the Rayleigh parameter,ranging from 102 to 3×10^(2),the radiation number,ranging from 0.1 to 0.5,the fusion temperature,ranging from 1.0 to 1.2,the volume fraction of NEpCMs,ranging from 2%to 6%,the Stefan number,ranging from 1 to 5,the magnetic number,ranging from 0.1 to 0.5,and the irreversibility parameter,ranging from 0.1 to 0.5,are examined in detail on the temperature contours,isentropic lines,heat capacity ratio,and velocity ***,the heat transfer rates at both the cold and hot walls are analyzed,and the findings are presented *** results indicate that the time taken by the NEpCMs to transition from solid to liquid is prolonged inside the chamber region as the fusion temperatureθf ***,the contours of the heat capacity ratio Cr decrease with the increase in the Stefan number Ste.
