Optimization theory is applied to a coastal engineering problem that is the design of a *** approach was applied to the redesign of La Turballe port in order to increase the exploitable surface area and simultaneously reduce the occurrence of long waves within the *** defined the cost function as a weighted function of wave amplitude and with the chosen parameterization of the port,results show that an extended jetty and a widened mole yield a unique optimal *** work demonstrates that numerical optimization may be quick and efficient in the identification of port solutions consistent with classic engineering even in the context of complex problems.

2010年以来,数字游牧在全球范围内逐步扩展。特别是新冠疫情暴发后,作为数字游牧基础条件的远程工作日渐增多,导致“数字游牧”这一概念的应用范围不断扩大。本文重新定义数字游牧的内涵,并对当代数字游民进行最新的分类,将数字游民细分为五种不同类型,即自由职业数字游民、数字游民企业主、带薪数字游民、实验性数字游民和“扶手椅上”的数字游民。这一分类涉及六个关键变量:流动频率和自主性、以家庭为居住地的实践、国内与跨国旅行、法律合规性、工作与生活平衡以及使用共享工作空间。文章强调,探讨数字游民内涵和类型,不仅能为未来的相关研究提供学术方向,还能帮助研究人员和政策制定者更准确地理解和评估数字游民在现实世界中的背景、动机、实践和影响。

AIM:To determine whether distinct symptom groupings exist in a constipated population and whether such grouping might correlate with quantifiable pathophysiological measures of colonic ***:One hundred and ninety-one patients presenting to a Gastroenterology clinic with constipation and 32 constipated patients responding to a newspaper advertisement completed a 53-item,wide-ranging selfreport *** hundred of these patients had colonic transit measured *** analysis determined whether constipation-related symptoms grouped into distinct aspects of *** analysis was used to determine whether indi-vidual patients naturally group into distinct ***:Cluster analysis yielded a 4 cluster solution with the presence or absence of pain and laxative unresponsiveness providing the main *** all clusters there was a considerable proportion of patients with demonstrable delayed colon transit,irritable bowel syndrome positive criteria and regular stool *** majority of patients with these characteristics also reported regular laxative ***:Factor analysis identified four constipation subgroups,based on severity and laxative unresponsiveness,in a constipated ***,clear stratification into clinically identifiable groups remains imprecise.

This paper is a comprehensive study on the progress in research on Chinese urbanization. On the basis of the concept and connotation of Chinese urbanization defined by Chinese scholars, the paper systematically collects the research results on the issues concerning urbanization in China from the different approaches of demography, geography, city planning, economics and history, reviewin~ the process of research on Chinese urbanization made both domestically and internationally. In this paper, the domestic studies fail into five periods as follows： the initial period of research on urbanization in China （1978-1983）; the period with both domesticaUy constructed and borrowed theories on urbanization （1984-1988）; the period of research on leading urbanization factors and [oca｜ization （1989-1997）; the period with the research greatty promoted by the government （1998-2004）; and the period featuring flourishing studies on the science of urbanization in China （2005 ti[[ today）. In contrast, the overseas research on Chinese urbanization can be divided into three periods： the period studying the history of urbanization in China （before the 1970s）; the systematic research on Chinese urbanization （1970-1999）; and the comprehensive research on Chinese urbanization （2000 tiU today）. The paper focuses on the key results of research on Chinese urbanization, including nine issues as foLLows： the guidelines and road for urban development in China, the features of Chinese urbanization, the mechanism driving the growth of Chinese urbanization, the process of Chinese urbanization, the spatiat patterns of Chinese urbanization, the urbanization in rural areas in China, the comparison of urbanization in China and other countries, and gLobaLization and regional urbanization.

AIMTo determine the visual outcomes in adult patients who sustained open globe injuries and to determine whether the visual prognosis following an eye injury in an African setting differs from the predicted outcomes according to the Ocular Trauma Score (OTS) study. A secondary aim was to establish the evisceration rate for these injuries and assess how this form of intervention affected outcomes in comparison to the *** prospective case series of all patients admitted with open globe injuries over a two-year (july 2009 to june 2011) period. Injuries were scored using the OTS and the surgical intervention was recorded. The best corrected visual acuity at three months was regarded as visual *** were 249 open globe injuries, of which 169 patients (169 eyes) completed the 3-month follow-up. All patients underwent primary surgery, 175 (70.3%) repairs, 61 (24.5%) eviscerations and 13 (5.2%) other procedures. Globe eviscerations were mainly done on OTS Category 1 cases, but outcomes in this category were not found to be different from OTS outcomes. Outcomes were significantly worse in Category 2, but when the entire distribution was tested, the differences were not statistically significant. The overall association between OTS outcomes and the final visual outcomes in this study was found to be a strong (ppected outcomes of eye injuries will influence management decisions and patient expectations. The OTS is a valuable tool, the use of which has been validated in many parts of the world-it may also be a valid predictor in an African setting.

Health effects of natural spring waters:A protocol for systematic reviews with a regional case example

BACKGROUND： Spring water therapies have been used since at least 1550 BC. Despite the growing body of evidence supporting these therapies for a range of conditions, including musculoskeletal, dermatological, respiratory and cardiovascular conditions, they do not currently form part of mainstream healthcare in many countries. The protocol established in this paper aims to support systematic reviews that examine the health outcomes associated with human exposure to regional spring waters, using the Australia and New Zealand context as a case study. METHODS/DESIGN： The protocol searches for studies in eight health/medical databases, searches three local health/medical journals, and includes forwards and backwards searching. Standard systematic review methods are used including： specifying pre-deterrnined inclusion criteria and data management plans, appraising the studies for bias, and allocation to a hierarchy of evidence. DISCUSSION： The protocol supports a review and comprehensive synthesis of the current evidence regarding the health effects of natural spring water, and can be adapted for reviews in other regions. From this evidence, recommendations regarding practice and future research can be made on the therapeutic role of spring water.
