Replaceable flexural and shear fuse-type coupling beams are used in hybrid coupled shear wall(HCSW)systems,enabling concrete buildings to be promptly recovered after severe *** study aimed to analytically evaluate the seismic behavior of flexural and shear fuse beams situated in short-,medium-and high-rise RC buildings that have *** building groups hypothetically located in a high seismic hazard zone were studied.A series of 2D nonlinear time history analyses was accomplished in OpenSees,using the ground motion records scaled at the design basis earthquake *** was found that the effectiveness of fuses in HCSWs depends on various factors such as size and scale of the building,allowable rotation value,inter-story drift ratio,residual drift quantity,energy dissipation value of the fuses,*** results show that shear fuses better meet the requirements of rotations and *** contrast,flexural fuses dissipate more energy,but their sectional stiffness should increase to meet other *** was concluded that adoption of proper fuses depends on the overall scale of the building and on how associated factors are considered.

The investigation of Sm-Ce doping on structure,conduction,and dielectric response of Bi_(2)Ca_(2-2x)Sm_(x)CexCoO_(6)(x=0.000,0.025,0.050,0.075)(BCSCCO)are *** the specimens were synthesized by a facile synthesis technique named the co-precipitation route.X-ray diffraction(XRD)reveals that BCSCCO crystallizes into one phase with space group p21/*** crystallite size,dislocation density,lattice parameters,lattice strain,unit cell volume,and bulk density were determined using XRD *** structural properties of Bi_(2)Ca_(2)CoO_(6)were examined using calculations based on the density functional *** and experimental values discrepancy is less than 1%.A scanning electron microscope was used for performing a microstructural *** SEM images demonstrate the homogeneous distribution of grains with a range of sizes(0.054-0.090μm).The alternating current(ac)conductivity,dielectric permittivity,and tangent loss were also studied as a function of frequency(20 Hz-3 MHz)at different temperatures(100-500℃).All synthesized samples were examined using non-linear Debye's function to determine their spreading factor and relaxation *** specimen with the lowest crystallite size(∼23 nm)exhibits a high dielectric permittivity(∼3.80×10^(6)).The conduction mechanism was examined in the studied samples with the use of Jonscher's power *** power law indicates that the BCSCCO(x=0.000,0.025)follows correlated barrier hopping,whereas the x=0.050 and 0.075 compositions follow non-overlapping polaron *** studied specimen Bi_(2)Ca_(1.9)0Sm_(0.05)0Ce_(0.05)_(0)CoO_(6)with the highest density(∼5.65 g/cm^(3))displays a high electrical conductivity(∼46.1 S/cm).These findings correspond to those published for ceramics made from calcium cobaltite using solid-state reactions(5.0-26.0 S/cm).

in the petroleum industry,the analysis of petrophysical parameters is critical for efficient reservoir management,production optimization,development strategies,and accurate hydrocarbon reserve *** recent years,the integration of machine learning methodologies has revolutionized the field,addressing challenges in geology,geophysics,and petroleum engineering,even when confronted with limited or imperfect *** study focuses on the prediction of density logs,a pivotal factor in evaluating reservoir hydrocarbon *** is important to note that during well logging operations,log data for specific depths of interest may be missing or incorrect,presenting a significant *** tackle this issue,we employed the Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy inference System(ANFiS)and Artificial Neural Networks(ANN)in combination with advanced optimization algorithms,including particle Swarm Optimization(pSO),imperialist Competitive Algorithms(iCA),and Genetic Algorithms(GA).These methods exhibit promising performance in predicting density logs from gamma-ray,neutron,sonic,and photoelectric log ***,our results highlight that the Genetic Algorithms-based Artificial Neural Network(GA-ANN)approach outperforms all other methods,achieving an impressive Mean Squared Error(MSE)of *** comparison,ANFiS records an MSE of 0.0015,iCA-ANN 0.0090,pSO-ANN 0.0093,and ANN 0.0183.

Crop height measurement is widely used to analyze and estimate the overall crop condition and the amount of biomass *** only is manual measurement on a large scale time-consuming but also it is not ***,advanced equipment is available but they require technical skills and are not reasonable for *** article investigates the feasibility of a simple and low-cost measurement system that can monitor crops height of paddy rice and wheat using laser *** designing and fabricating,this system was tested and evaluated in both laboratory and farm *** the laboratory,paddy rice height was measured,and in the field section,the height detection system measured wheat *** results showed that the coefficient of determination(R3)between manual measurement and height detection system measurement for paddy rice was 0.96 and for wheat was ***,there was no significant difference between the two datasets at the level of 5%.Hence,this system can be a useful and accurate tool to monitor crops height in different growing steps.

Objective:To investigate the role of CRX-527,a Toll-like receptor 4 agonist,as the possible adjuvant for recombinant Mycobacterium bovis Bacillus Calmette-Guerin expressing merozoite surface protein 1C(BCG-MSp-1C).Methods:The mice were immunized with BCG and BCG-MSp-1C in the presence and absence of *** untreated mice(injected with pBS-T80 only)were the negative *** ability of CRX-527 to enhance igG and its subclasses,as well as iL-4 and iFN-γproduction in the serum and spleen supernatant was evaluated using ***:Mice immunized with BCG-MSp-1C exhibited the highest production of igGs,iL-4 and iFN-γafter third *** addition,CRX-527 further promoted the production of total igG and igG subclasses as well as iFN-γand iL-4 in the serum and splenocytes of immunized ***:CRX-527 has the potential as an adjuvant candidate for the candidate *** study is needed to verify appropriate dosage for immunization and its efficacy.

Historic maps showing the temporal distribution of rice fields are important for precision agriculture,irrigation optimisation,forecasting crop yields,land use management and formulating ***,mapping rice felds using traditional ground surveys is impractical when high cost,time and labour requirements are considered,and the availability of such detailed records is *** satellite remote sensing appears to be a viable solution,conventional segmentation and classification methods with spectral bands are often unable to contrast the distinct characteristics between rice fields and other vegetation *** this end,we explored a novel,Google Earth Engine(GEE)based multiindex random forest(RF)classification approach to map rice fields over two *** images from 2000 to 2020 of two Sri Lankan rice cultivation districts were extracted from GEE and a multi-index RF classification algorithm was applied to distinguish the rice *** results showed above 80%accuracy for both training and validation,when compared against high spatial resolution Google Earth *** essence,multi-index sampling and RF together synergised the compelling classifcation accuracy by effectively capturing vegetation,water(ponding)and soil characteristics unique to the rice felds using a single-click *** maps developed in this study were further compared against the MODiS land cover type product(MCD12Q1)and the corresponding superior statistics on rice fields demonstrated the robustness of the proposed *** work seeking effective index combinations is recommended,and this approach can potentially be extended to other crop analyses elsewhere.
