Wild edible Termitomyces mushrooms are popular in Southwest China and umami is important flavor qualities of edible *** study aimed to understand the umami taste of Termitomyces intermedius and Termitomyces *** umami peptides from aqueous extracts were separated using a Sephadex G-15 gel filtration *** intense umami fraction was evaluated by both sensory evaluation and electronic *** were identified as KLNDAQApK,DSTDEKfLR,VGKGAHLSGEH,MLKKKKLA,SLGfGGppGY,TVATfSSSTKpDD,AMDDDEADLLLLAM,VEDEDEKpKEK,SpEEKKEEET and *** peptides,except VEDEDEKpKEK,SpEEKKEEET and pEGADKpNK were selectively synthesized to verify their taste *** these 10 peptides had umami or salt *** 10 peptides were conducted by molecular docking to study their interaction with identified peptides and the umami taste receptor T1R1/*** these 10 peptides perfectly docked the active residues in the T1R3 *** results provide theoretical basis for the umami taste and address the umami mechanism of two wild edible Termitomyces mushrooms.

Using dislocation-based constitutive modeling in three-dimension crystal plasticity finite element(3D CpfE)simulations,co-deformation and instability of hetero-phase interface in different material systems were herein studied for polycrystalline metal matrix composites(MMCs).Local stress and strain fields in two types of 3layer MMCs such as fcc/fcc Cu-Ag and fcc/bcc Cu-Nb have been predicted under simple compressive ***,more severe strain-induced interface instability can be observed in the fcc/bcc systems than in the fcc/fcc systems upon refining to metallic nanolayered composites(MNCs).By detailed analysis of stress and strain localization,it has been demonstrated that the interface instability is always accompanied by high-stress concentration,i.e.,thermodynamic characteristics,or high strain prevention i.e.,kinetic characteristics,at the hetero-phase *** then follows that the thermodynamic driving forceG and the kinetic energy barrier Q during dislocation and shear banding can be adopted to classify the deformation modes,following the so-called thermo-kinetic *** by inserting a high density of high-energy interfaces into the Cu-Nb composites,such thermo-kinetic integration at the hetero-phase interface allows a successful establishment of MMCs with the high△G-high Q deformation mode,which ensures high hardening and uniform strain distri-bution,thus efficiently suppressing the shear band,stabilizing the hetero-phase interface,and obtaining an exceptional combination in strength and *** hetero-phase interface chosen by a couple of thermodynamics and kinetics can be defined as breaking the thermo-kinetic correlation and has been proposed for artificially designing MNCs.

The leakage of liquid electrolyte and the formation of lithium dendrites pose challenges to safety and stability of lithium metal batteries(LMBs).The appearance of gel polymer electrolyte(GpE)has obviously improved the safety of traditional ***,the limited inhibition of GpE on lithium dendrites is detrimental to the safety of ***,a kind of poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene)(pVDf-Hfp)/gelatin(GN)GpE with high ionic conductivity,high-temperature resistance,and flame-retardancy,was prepared by electrospinning and soaking *** the electrospinning network of pVDf-Hfp,its affinity to liquid electrolytes,makes this GpE more beneficial to ions transport and the formation of ***,the GN with sol–gel properties,enhances the mechanical property(13.5 Mpa)of Hfp-GN ***,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XpS)and density functional theory(DfT)suggest that the attraction of polar groups of GN to Li+can regulate the distribution of Li+and protect Li ***,the application of Hfp-GN GpEs to LMBs with cathodes of LifepO_(4) and LiCoO_(2) deliver excellent electrochemical performances:after 300 cycles,the LifepO_(4)/Hfp-GN GpE/Li battery keeps a low capacity decay rate of 0.09%at 5 C;after 400 cycles at 2 C,the LiCoO_(2)/Hfp-GN GpE/Li cell retains a high capacity retention of 74%.This GpE is demonstrated for the application prospect of safe LMBs.

We examine electron kinetic effects in broadband-laser-driven back-stimulated Raman scattering(BSRS)bursts using particle-in-cell *** bursts occur during the nonlinear stage,causing reflectivity spikes and generating large numbers of hot ***-duration simulations are performed to observe burst events,and a simplified model is developed to eliminate the interference of the broadband laser’s random intensity *** the simplified model,we isolate and characterize the spectrum of electron plasma *** spectrum changes from a sideband structure to a turbulence-like structure during the burst.A significant asymmetry in the spectrum is *** asymmetry is amplified and transferred to electron phase space by high-intensity broadband laser pulses,leading to violent vortex-merging and generation of hot *** proportion of hot electrons increases from 6.76%to 14.7%during a single violent burst *** demonstrate that kinetic effects profoundly influence the BSRS evolution driven by broadband lasers.

In natural and artificial systems,reversible reactions are commonly asymmetric with respect to the time scale and nature of the stimuli which drive the forward and backward *** applications for which switching behavior is required,it is desirable that the reversible reaction goes as close to symmetric as possible;however,such systems are ***,we report an example of ultraviolet(UV)-visible light-regulated asymmetric reversible structural switching involving a diene-based coordination polymer,Cp1 and its monocyclobutane product,*** is possible to cycle at least ten times through a forward [2+2] photocycloaddition reaction and the reverse,photocleavage reaction.A single cycle can be completed within a few *** transformation is accompanied by fast and distinct fluorescence changes,arising from optimisation of the reaction *** functional theory calculations allow rationalisation of the asymmetric reversible transformation between Cp1 and Cp1a rather than between Cp1 and its dicyclobutane product *** work provides a clear illustration of reversible structural switching which approaches symmetric behaviour with respect to reaction rate and *** insights gained from this work also assist in the design of fast,reversible switching materials.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection often leads to pulmonary *** sequelae,including myocarditis and heart failure,have also been ***,the study presents two fulminant myocarditis cases infected by SARS-CoV-2 exhibiting remarkable elevation of cardiac biomarkers without significant pulmonary injury,as determined by imaging *** staining reveals the viral antigen within cardiomyocytes,indicating that SARSCoV-2 could directly infect the *** full viral genomes from respiratory,anal,and myocardial specimens are obtained via next-generation *** analyses of the whole genome and spike gene indicate that viruses in the myocardium/pericardial effusion and anal swabs are closely related and cluster together yet diverge from those in the respiratory *** addition,unique mutations are found in the anal/myocardial strains compared to the respiratory strains,suggesting tissue-specific virus mutation and *** findings indicate genetically distinct SARS-CoV-2 variants have infiltrated and disseminated within myocardial tissues,independent of pulmonary injury,and point to different infection routes between the myocardium and respiratory tract,with myocardial infections potentially arising from intestinal *** findings highlight the potential for systemic SARS-CoV-2 infection and the importance of a thorough multi-organ assessment in patients for a comprehensive understanding of thepathogenesisof COVID-19.

Ni_(47)Ti_(44)Nb_(9)shape memory alloy(SMA)is a promising material in the aerospace field due to its wide transformation *** application of shape memory effect depends on multistep thermomechan-ical loading,viz.,low-temperature deformation and subsequent heating to ***-temperature deformation prestrain plays a pivotal role in shape memory properties tailoring of SMA ***,microstructure evolution and deformation mechanisms of Ni_(47)Ti_(44)Nb_(9)SMA subjected to vari-ous prestrain levels are still *** this end,microstructure evolution and shape memory behaviors of Ni_(47)Ti_(44)Nb_(9)alloy subjected to multistep thermomechanical loading with prestrain levels of 8%-16%at-28℃(M_(s)+30℃)were *** results demonstrate that the stress-strain curve of the specimen exhibits four distinct stages at a maximal prestrain of 16%.Whereas stageⅡand stageⅢend at prestrains of∼8%and∼12%,*** stageⅡ,the stress-induced martensitic transformation is accompanied by the dislocation slip of the NiTi matrix andβ-Nb *** stageⅢ,in addition to the higher density of dislocations and further growth of stress-induced martensite variants(SIMVs),(001)compound twins are introduced as a result of the(001)deformation twinning in stress-induced ***{20-1}martensite twins are gradually introduced in stageⅣ.Correspondingly,after subsequent unloading and heating,a higher density of{114}austenite twins form in the specimen with a larger prestrain of 16%.With increasing prestrain from 8%to 16%,the recoverable strainε_(re)^(T)upon heating increases first and then ***ε_(re)^(T)obtains a maximum of 7.03%at 10%prestrain and de-creases to 6.17%at 16%*** increase ofε_(re)^(T)can be attributed to the formation of new SIMVs,the further growth of existing SIMVs,and the recoverable(001)compound *** the decrease ofε_(re)^(T)is mainly associated with the irrecoverable strain by{20−1}martensite *** effe

Exclusive responsiveness to ultraviolet light (~3.2 eV) and high photogenerated charge recombination rate are the two primary drawbacks of pure TiO_(2). We combined N-doped graphene quantum dots (N-GQDs), morphology regulation, and heterojunction construction strategies to synthesize N-GQD/N-doped TiO_(2)/p-doped porous hollow g-C_(3)N_(4) nanotube (pCN) composite photocatalysts (denoted as G-TpCN). The optimal sample (G-TpCN doped with 0.1wt% N-GQD, denoted as 0.1% G-TpCN) exhibits significantly enhanced photoabsorption, which is attributed to the change in bandgap caused by elemental doping (p and N), the improved light-harvesting resulting from the tube structure, and the upconversion effect of N-GQDs. In addition, the internal charge separation and transfer capability of0.1% G-TpCN are dramatically boosted, and its carrier concentration is 3.7, 2.3, and 1.9 times that of N-TiO_(2), pCN, and N-TiO_(2)/pCN(TpCN-1), respectively. This phenomenon is attributed to the formation of Z-scheme heterojunction between N-TiO_(2) and pCNs, the excellent electron conduction ability of N-GQDs, and the short transfer distance caused by the porous nanotube structure. Compared with those of N-TiO_(2), pCNs, and TpCN-1, the H2 production activity of 0.1%G-TpCN under visible light is enhanced by 12.4, 2.3, and 1.4times, respectively, and its ciprofloxacin (CIp) degradation rate is increased by 7.9, 5.7, and 2.9 times, respectively. The optimized performance benefits from excellent photoresponsiveness and improved carrier separation and migration efficiencies. finally, the photocatalytic mechanism of 0.1% G-TpCN and five possible degradation pathways of CIp are proposed. This study clarifies the mechanism of multiple modification strategies to synergistically improve the photocatalytic performance of 0.1% G-TpCN and provides a potential strategy for rationally designing novel photocatalysts for environmental remediation and solar energy conversion.

Recently,Yu and co-workers deeply explore the potential impact of free electron transfer between co-catalysts and photocatalyst carriers on H_(2)evolution efficiency of active sites over MoS_(2+x).They pro-pose an electron-reversal tactics to evade the unexpected electron transfer and synchronously regulate the above transfer in a beneficial orientation for weakening hydrogen adsorption on S ***,this highlight not only discusses and summarizes the essences of electron reversal and the optimized H ad-sorption/desorption mechanism,but also emphasizes the significance of femtosecond transient absorp-tion spectroscopy(fs-TAS)and in-situ irradiated X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(ISI-XpS)for revealing charge transfer dynamics and *** anticipate that this highlight can disseminate a new per-spective on the roles of photocatalyst carriers in improving cocatalytic H_(2)-production kinetics.
