Inspired by biological ion channels,numerous artificial asymmetric ion channels have been synthesized to facilitate the fabrication of ionic ***,the creation of biomimetic asymmetric ion channels necessitates expensive scientific apparatus and intricate material processing procedures,which constrains its advancement within the realm of ionic *** this study,we have devised dynamic asymmetric ion channels with mechanical responsiveness by combining polymers of varying elastic modulus along the longitudinal axis of carbon nanotube fiber(CNTF).The ion rectification can be modulated via the disparate response of CNTF-based ion channels to mechanical *** have effectively employed these asymmetric ion channels with mechanical sensitivity in the design of a logic gate device,achieving logic operations such as“AND”and“OR”.The conception of these dynamic asymmetric ion channels with mechanical sensitivity offers a straightforward,cost-effective,and versatile approach for generating ion channels,highlighting their potential application in intricate,highly integrated ionic circuits.

We investigate optical superregular breathers in the femtosecond regime under dispersion management in an inho- mogeneous fiber governed by the nonautonomous higher-order nonlinear Schr6dinger equation （NLSE）. Exact solutions describing the dynamics of superregular breathers are obtained. Furthermore, we discuss the propagation behaviors of controllable superregular breathers, including stabilization and recurrence in an exponential dispersion fiber and a peri- odic distributed fiber system. particularly, the nonlinear dynamics of superregular modes evolved from an identical initial small-amplitude modulation is analyzed in detail.

AD (Alternating direction) Galerkin schemes for d-dimensional nonlinear pseudo-hyperbolic equations are studied. By using patch approximation technique, AD procedure is realized, and calculation work is simplified. By using Galerkin approach, highly computational accuracy is kept. By using various priori estimate techniques for differential equations, difficulty coming from non-linearity is treated, and optimal H1 and L2 convergence properties are demonstrated. Moreover, although all the existed AD Galerkin schemes using patch approximation are limited to have only one order accuracy in time increment, yet the schemes formulated in this paper have second order accuracy in it. This implies an essential advancement in AD Galerkin analysis.

To explore the potential role of gravity,turbulence and magnetic fields in high-mass star formation in molecular clouds,this study revisits the velocity dispersion–size(σ–L)and density–size(ρ–L)scalings and the associated turbulent energy spectrum using an extensive data *** sample includes various hierarchical density structures in high-mass star formation clouds,across scales of 0.01–100 *** observeσ∝L^(0.26)andρ∝L^(-1.54)scalings,converging toward a virial equilibrium state.A nearly flat virial parameter–mass(α_(vir)-M)distribution is seen across all density scales,withα_(vir)values centered around unity,suggesting a global equilibrium maintained by the interplay between gravity and turbulence across multiple *** turbulent energy spectrum(E(k))analysis,based on theσ–L andρ–L scalings,yields a characteristic E(k)∝k^(-1.52).These findings indicate the potential significance of gravity,turbulence,and possibly magnetic fields in regulating dynamics of molecular clouds and high-mass star formation therein.

The atomic structures and energetics of clean and Y-doped general grain boundary (GB) Σ31/(0001) models in α-Al2O3 are studied by a series of high precision ab initio calculations. A large supercell with 700 atoms and periodic boundary conditions is adopted for undoped and Y-doped GB with different substitution sites and con-centrations. It is shown that Y atoms preferably segregate to the central column of the 7-member Al ring. This is explained as more favorable bond formation for Y in this position and lower GB energy. The calculated GB formation energy for the clean and Y-doped cases is respectively 3.99 and 3.67 J/m2. On the average, the GB region in Σ31 has a slightly lower charge density than the bulk crystalline region. In addtition, the GB induces a long ranged asymmetric electrostatic potential distri-bution on each side of the grain boundary.

A new nuclide (238)Th has been produced via multinucleon transferreaction by 60 MeV/u 18O ion irradiation of the natural uranium. The thorium wasradiochemically separated from the fixture of uranium and reaction products. Theactivity of thorium was measured by using an HpGe detector and a planar HpGedetector. The 238Th has been identified for the first time by measuring the growthand decay of the 7-rays from its daughter 238pa. The half-life of 238Th was determinedto be 9.4f2.0 min. In addition, a new 7-ray of 89.010.3 keV with TI/2=8.911.5minwas found in the 7 spectrum gated with X-rays of pa and assigned to 238Th p-- decaybased on measurements of transition energy and half life.

Survival curves of Chinese hamster V79 cells exposed to accclerated carbon ions with linear energy transfers of 125.5, 200 and 700 keV/μm were measured, respectively. Inactivation cross sections corresponding to the irradiation above were deduced from the V79 cell survival curves. They are 7.86±0.17, 10.44±1.11 and 32.32±3.58 μm2 in turn. With the surviving response of V79 cells to 60Co γ-rays as a reference value, relative biological effectiveness at 10%, 20%, 50% and 80% survival levels were given for the accelerated carbon ions. The results showed that carbon ions with LET of 125.5 keV/μm had a higher value of RBE at all the four survival levels than the carbon ions with other LETs. It was prompted that the maximum value of RBE for the V79 cell surviving as the biological endpoint emerged at the LET below 200 keV/μm for carbon ions.

The non-dispersion-limited analytic acutions of unidirectional N-channel transient stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) coupling wave equation which governing the propagation of the optical signals in single-mode (SM) silica fiber have been presented. Taking into account the SRS cross coupling among the N- channels, the analytic solutions are applicable to the system with arbitrary channel separation and input signal light power.
