Application programming Interface(ApI)call feature analysis is the prominent method for dynamic android malware detection.Standard benchmark androidmalware ApI dataset includes featureswith high dimensionality.Not all features of the data are relevant,filtering unwanted features improves efficiency.This paper proposes fuzzy and meta-heuristic optimization hybrid to eliminate insignificant features and improve the performance.In the first phase fuzzy benchmarking is used to select the top best features,and in the second phase meta-heuristic optimization algorithms viz.,Moth Flame Optimization(MFO),Multi-Verse Optimization(MVO)&Whale Optimization(WO)are run with Machine Learning(ML)wrappers to select the best from the rest.Five ML methods viz.,Decision Tree(DT),Random Forest(RF),K-NearestNeighbors(KNN),Naie Bayes(NB)&NearestCentroid(NC)are compared as wrappers.Several experiments are conducted and among them,the best post reduction accuracy of 98.34% is recorded with 95% elimination of features.The proposed novelmethod outperformed among the existing works on the same dataset.

Crohn’s disease(CD)can involve the entire gastrointestinal tract from the mouth to the anus and can lead to a constellation of symptoms.With the advancement of effective medical treatments for CD,a tendency has emerged to consider surgical treatment as a last resort.This potentially has the disadvantage of delaying surgery and if it fails might leave patients sicker,less well nourished,and with more severe complications.As with most non-malignant diseases,the choice of surgery vs medical treatment is a patient’s personal preference under the guidance of the treating physician,except in extreme situations where surgery might be the only option.In this article,we will discuss the available evidence regarding the optimal timing of surgery in CD,focusing on whether early surgery can bring benefits in terms of disease control,symptom relief,and quality of life.

Communication plays a vital role in incorporating smartness into the interconnected power system.However,historical records prove that the data transfer has always been vulnerable to cyber-attacks.Unless these cyber-attacks are identified and cordoned off,they may lead to black-out and result in national security issues.This paper proposes an optimal two-stage Kalman filter(OTS-KF)for simultaneous state and cyber-attack estimation in automatic generation control(AGC)system.Biases/cyber-attacks are modeled as unknown inputs in the AGC dynamics.Five types of cyber-attacks,i.e.,false data injection(FDI),data replay attack,denial of service(DoS),scaling,and ramp attacks,are injected into the measurements and estimated using OTS-KF.As the load variations of each area are seldom available,OTS-KF is reformulated to estimate the states and outliers along with the load variations of the system.The proposed technique is validated on the benchmark two-area,three-area,and five-area power system models.The simulation results under various test conditions demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed filter.

Avoiding second donor site and the second set of neck vessels in a case of absent peroneal skin perforators

This report describes the procedure of a case in which the skin paddle of the free fibula flap derived its supply solely from a soleal musculocutaneous perforator originating from the posterior tibial system.In contrast,the osteo-muscular component was supplied by the peroneal vascular system.We harvested the skin paddle with its vascular supply from the posterior tibial artery separately,and the osteo-muscular fibula was harvested with its supply from peroneal vessels.In this way,we avoided violation of the second donor site for the skin paddle.In addition,we used the distal end of peroneal vessels to salvage our skin paddle instead of sacrificing another set of neck vessels for anastomosis.This technique may also be utilised in cases where the neck vessels may not be available due to previous surgeries,radiation therapy,or decision by the surgery team to not sacrifice two sets of neck vessels for anastomosis.

Assessment of phytochemicals and antioxidant activities of raw and germinating Ceiba pentandra (kapok) seeds

To determine the significance of germination on phytochemical constituents and non-enzymatic antioxidant activ- ities of Ceiba pentandra seed extracts. phytochemicals and antioxidant activities of raw and germinating seeds of Ceiba pentandra were estimated by different methods. The levels of phytochemical constituents were influenced by germination and increased except alkaloids and tannins, which were decreased significantly during germination. Among non-enzymatic antioxidants like DppH, FRAp, reducing assay and hydroxyl radical scavenging activity all showed improved activity compared with non-germinating seeds. This may be due to various reactive oxygen species （ROS） that were generated as by-products of metabolism during germination. This group of ROS included superoxide radicals （O2）, hydrogen peroxide radicals （HzOz） and hydroxyl radicals （OH）. The formation of these oxygen radicals resulted in the accumulation of lipid hydroperoxides by radical chain oxidation via phospholipids peroxy radicals within membranes. Therefore, it was hypothesized that this could be related to the increase of anti- oxidant activity in large unilamellar vesicles observed in germinated seeds. The implication of this study is that the Ceiba pentandra seeds as natural antioxidant agents and put forward the possibility of employing for therapeutic potential.

Background:To evaluate morphologic,radiographic,and stereomicroscopic changes of teeth when subjected to specific high temperatures in both direct heat and gradual heat and to compare the changes among two heat groups and also among different types of teeth.Materials and Methods:An in vitro study was conducted on 90 healthy extracted human teeth,in which the teeth were divided into two groups.Group 1(45)was subjected to direct heat and Group 2(45)was subjected to gradual heat.Group 1 and Group 2 were further subdivided into three subgroups(A)anteriors,(B)premolars,and(C)molars each consisting of 15 teeth.Teeth were subjected to temperatures of 200°C,400°C,600°C,800°C,and 1000°C in a muffle electric furnace.The color changes were noted using the Revised Munsell soil color chart and the radiographic and stereomicroscopic changes were evaluated.The results obtained were subjected to statistical analysis.Results:Teeth in direct heat showed more destructive changes at lower temperatures,i.e.,400°C and 600°C when compared to gradual heat where changes are observed at 600°C and 800°C.Among different types of teeth,anteriors and premolars showed more changes when compared to molars.Interpretation and Conclusion:It can be concluded that dental evidence may provide clues to solve the mystery in fire investigations as dental structures are the last to be destroyed under extreme conditions,whether temperature,acid,or putrefaction.

背景与目的:克罗恩病结肠炎(CC)常伴发原发性硬化性肝管炎(pSC)。然而,在CC/pSC患者中结肠癌或瘤变的风险仍不清楚。本研究目的是研究伴或不伴pSC的CC患者结肠瘤变的风险。方法:本研究系巢式病例对照研究,研究对象是1985-2012年间Cleveland Clinic收治的CC合并pSC患者。比较43例CC合并pSC患者(pSC组)与同期159例CC未合并pSC患者(对照组)的结肠瘤变率。结果:43例pCS组患者中有7例(16.3%)出现结肠癌或瘤变,而159例对照组中有22例(13.8%)出现结肠癌或瘤变(p=0.98)。pSC组出现结肠瘤变的7例患者瘤变均发生在近端结肠(脾曲近端),而对照组仅50%(11/22)的瘤变发生在近端结肠(p=0.001)。Cox回归分析显示,男性患者(HR=2.68;95%CI:1.30-5.54;p=0.008)和CC诊断年龄(HR=1.29;95%CI:1.14-1.47;pp=0.005)。合并pSC并不会增加结肠腺瘤的发生风险(HR=0.45;95%CI:0.18-1.13;p=0.09)。结论:合并pSC并不会增加CC患者结肠瘤变的风险。在我们这组CC/pSC病例中,结肠瘤变均发生在近端结肠。

The Metal Matrix Composites application has increased in many areas of science and technology, because of its additional physical, wear and mechanical properties. In comparison with all MMC’s, aluminum-based MMC’s are finding wide applications due to their better strength to weight ratio, better stiffness, and high thermal conductivity as well as very good wear and corrosion properties. The properties of a composite mainly depend on better distribution of reinforcement in the matrix, which is very difficult to achieve. Basically Redmud is a byproduct of alumina, and it is waste product obtained during Bayer’s process. This waste product must be recycled else it may be dangerous to the environment. Redmud can be used as reinforcement for aluminium composites in order to achieve better properties. The proposed research work includes preparation of Aluminum 6061-Red mud metal matrix composites using liquid metallurgy route following stir casting technique. An alloy Al6061 containing 0.60 percent silicon and Magnesium of 0.82 percent was used as the matrix material. Two different compositions of the Aluminum 6061-Red mud composites are prepared in addition to the base matrix and evaluated for mechanical properties also the force acting on the cutting tool at different spindle speeds during machining of the composite materials were analyzed.

背景:合并原发性硬化性胆管炎(pSC)的溃疡性结肠炎(UC)与克罗恩病(CD)的结局比较尚不清楚。本研究旨在对两者的临床结局进行客观比较。方法:273例合并pSC的炎性肠病患者(UC 223例,CD 50例)纳入研究。收集入组病例的临床及人口统计学资料。结果:两组病例pSC危险度评分相近。pSC-UC组和pSC-CD组患者的中位随访时间分别是12(0-38)年和14(1-36)年。中位疾病复发次数pSC-UC组多于pSC-CD组[1(0-20)vs.0(0-9);ppSC-UC组高于pSC-CD组(35.9%vs.18%;p=0.009)。结肠切除手术的比例风险模型分析显示,pSC-UC患者结肠切除手术风险较pSC-CD增高12%[风险比(HR)=0.88;95%可信区间(CI)0.51-1.51;p=0.64]。同时,针对pSC的肝移植可降低结肠切除手术风险(HR=0.57;95%CI 0.37-0.89;p=0.013);而结肠瘤变则增加该风险(HR=3.83;95%CI 2.63-5.58;ppSC-UC患者结肠瘤变风险较pSC-CD患者增高56%(HR=0.44;95%CI 0.16-1.25;p=0.12)。结论:合并CD的pSC患者结肠瘤变和结肠切除手术的风险低于合并UC者。
