Three dimensional structure of baroclinic wavy jet was experimentally studied in rotating annulus subject to a negative radial temperature gradient. General features of wavy surface jet in the system were obtained. Based on the precise measurements of velocity distribution of the jet with LDV and the three dimensional temperature field in the convective system, three dimensional thermodynamic structures of jet were gained, and by using a correlation of three dimensional disturbed temperature, the unstable mechanism of disturbed temperature of baroclinic fluid in a rotating system was further discussed.

In this paper, we give a mathematical model for earliness-tardiness job scheduling problem with a common due window on parallel and non-identical machines. Because the job scheduling problem discussed in the paper contains a problem of minimizing make-span, which is Np-complete on parallel and uniform machines, a heuristic algorithm is presented to find an approximate solution for the scheduling problem after proving an important theorem. Two numerical examples illustrate that the heuristic algorithm is very useful and effective in obtaining the near-optimal solution.

Based on the analysis of weakness on the safety of traditional electric detonators, a BJ-l safety electric detonator initiatingsystem and its corresponding safe examination technique were successfully developed. By leading false foot wires and taking advantageof the transmitting frequency band of Mo-Zn ferrite, detonators in this new system can completely impede the direct induction of outsidecrosstalk that may cause casual firing in the ordinary as well as eleclromagnetic ones. possible causality by lightning was discussed. results are presented, of its safety tests on resistance to direct and alternating current, electrostatic, and crosstalk induced by damp leakagein saturated salty water.

The incoherent control of finite-level quantum systems is investigated. Following a brief introduction to coherent control paradigms in quantum control, a control problem that can not be accomplished using only coherent control is presented. For such a control problem, it is proved that it can be accomplished using incoherent control based on projective measurement and coherent control for two classes of finite-level quantum systems, i.e., eigenstate controllable quantum systems and wavefunction controllable quantum systems.

The approach of estimating the number of signals based on information theoretic criteria has good performance in the assumption of white noise, but it always leads to false estimation of the coherent sources in colored noise. An approach combining the combined information theoretic criteria and eigen- value correction, is presented to determine number of signals. The method uses maximum likelihood （ML） and information theoretic criteria to estimate coherent signals alternately, then eliminate the inequality of the eigenvalues caused by colored noise by correcting the noise eigenvalues. The computer simulation results prove the effective performance of the method.

MANDELBrOT enunciated the uncertainty of the length of a coastline in his paper"How long is the coastline of Britain?"published in "Science" in 1967. The fractal concept was presented for the first time in that paper and has been applied to many fields ever since. According to the fractal theory and conditions of fractal research of coastline,the controls of faults and biologic function on the fractal character of coastline are preliminarily discussed on the basis of GIS in this paper . Finally,some significant conclusions are drawn:1)the faults control the basic trends of coastlines of two study areas;2)the fractal dimension of coastline of Taiwan is smaller than that of Changle-Lufeng,because the faults of Taiwan more intensely control the trend and fractal dimension of the coastline;3)the larger the fractal dimension of the faults or the major faults,the more the controlling effect of them on the trend and fractal dimension of coastline; 4)the larger fractal dimension of the coastline of Changle-Lufeng indicates that the biologic function intensely shapes the coastline. In a word,the controls of faults and biologic function on the fractal character of coastline are discussed with a case study of china in this paper,it can be seen that faults and biologic function both have influence over the trend and fractal dimension of coastline,the fractal mechanism of coastline of two study areas may be so.

The class of multiple attribute decision making （MADM） problems is studied, where the attribute values are intuitionistic fuzzy numbers, and the information about attribute weights is completely unknown. A score function is first used to calculate the score of each attribute value and a score matrix is constructed, and then it is transformed into a normalized score matrix. Based on the normalized score matrix, an entropy-based procedure is proposed to derive attribute weights. Furthermore, the additive weighted averaging operator is utilized to fuse all the normalized scores into the overall scores of alternatives, by which the ranking of all the given alternatives is obtained. This paper is concluded by extending the above results to interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy set theory, and an illustrative example is also provided.

The genetic algorithm has been widely used in many fields as an easy robust global search and optimization method. In this paper, a new generic algorithm based on niche technique and local search method is presented under the consideration of inadequacies of the simple genetic algorithm. In order to prove the adaptability and validity of the improved genetic algorithm, optimization problems of multimodal functions with equal peaks, unequal peaks and complicated peak distribution are discussed. The simulation results show that compared to other niching methods, this improved genetic algorithm has obvious potential on many respects, such as convergence speed, solution accuracy, ability of global optimization, etc.

Nanostructured FeS-SiC coating was deposited by atmospheric plasma spraying（ApS）.The microstructure and phase composition of the coating were characterized with SEM and XrD,*** addition,the size distribution of the reconstituted powders and the porosity of the coating have been *** was found that the reconstitiuted powers with sizes in the range of 20 to 80 μm had excellent flowability and were suitable for plasma spraying *** as-sprayed FeS-SiC composite coating exhibited a bimodal distribution with small grains（30～80nm） and large grains（100～200nm）.The coating was mainly composed of FeS and SiC,a small quantity of Fe1-xS and oxide were also *** porosity of the coating was approximately 19%.
