This research reports the processing of magnesium matrix composites reinforced with silicon carbide(SiC)and aluminium oxide(Al_(2)O_(3))using powder metallurgy technique through high energy *** of Mg-SiC and Mg-Al_(2)O_(3)composites subjected to high energy ball milling for different vol%of secondary particles 20,30 and 40%of SiC and Al_(2)O_(3)are studied by X-Ray diffraction *** rietveld method as implemented in the Fullprof program is applied in order to determine the quantities of the resulting crystalline phases and amorphous phases at each stage of the mechanical *** examination is carried out using Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM).In addition,crystal structural analysis using appropriate size and strain models is performed in order to handle the distinctive anistrophy that is observed in convinced crystallographic directions for the magnesium *** results are furnished in terms of crystalline domains size enlargement of the magnesium composites phases upon prolonged milling duration and discussed in the light of up to date views and theories on crystal growth of nanocrystaline *** hardness of the composite samples is calculated by Vickers’s Hardness ***,dry sling wear test and corrosion test are performed for the fabricated *** with 30%secondary particles incorporated magnesium composites exhibits better wear and corrosion resistance than the other composites.

AIM:To develop and evaluate the validity and reliability of a knowledge,attitude,and practice questionnaire related to vision screening(KAp-VST)among preschool teachers in ***:The questionnaire was developed through a literature review and discussions with *** and face validation were conducted by a panel of experts(n=10)and preschool teachers(n=10),respectively.A pilot study was conducted for construct validation(n=161)and test-retest reliability(n=60)of the newly developed ***:Based on the content and face validation,71 items were generated,and 68 items were selected after exploratory factor *** content validity index for items(I-CVI)score ranged from 0.8-1.0,and the content validity index for scale(S-CVI)/Ave was *** consistency was KR^(2)0=0.93 for knowledge,Cronbach’s alpha=0.758 for attitude,and Cronbach’s alpha=0.856 for ***:The KAp-VST is a valid and reliable instrument for assessing knowledge,attitude,and practice in relation to vision screening among preschool teachers in Malaysia.

This study reports radiological deformities in the vertebral column of six fishes viz,Scomberomorus commerson,Chanos chanos,Sillago sihama,pampus chinensis,Rastrelliger kanagurta and Netuma thalassina that were collected from the Coromandel coast,Bay of *** main different types of vertebral column deformities were found:(i)whole body kypho-lordo-kyphosis(Sillago sihama,Rastrelliger kanagurta,Netuma thalassina);(ii)tail region kypho-lordosis(Scomberomorus commerson);(iii)tail region lordo-kyphosis(Chanos chanos);(iv)platyspondyly(pampus chinensis).Seven types of vertebra body deformities,describing the pathology of single vertebrae,were present;reduced intervertebral space,compression,fusion,compresion&fusion,fusion center,dorsal wedge-shaped and compressed&dorsal *** present documentation of deformities in six different species that are also very different with regard to habitat,diet and swimming activity may suggest that fish deformities are widespread in the study area.

Titanium matrix （Ti6Al4V） composites rein- forced with TiB2 and TiC were produced through powder metallurgy method. The effect of addition of both TiB2 and TiC with different contents （2.5 wt%, 5.0 wt% and 7.5 wt%） on the density, microstructure and hardness properties of titanium matrix was investigated. The size distributions of the matrix alloy and reinforcement particles were measured by particle size analyzer. Microhardness of the sintered composites was evaluated using Vickers＇s hardness tester with a normal load of 3 N and a dwell time of 10 s. Ti6Al4V alloy and Ti6Al4V/TiB2-TiC composites were characterized through X-ray diffraction （XRD） and field emission scanning electron microscope （FESEM） equipped with energy-dispersive spectrometer （EDS）. The addition of TiB2 and TiC particles enriches the properties of Ti6Al4V alloy. The sintered Ti6Al4V/TiB2-TiC composite features a dense and pore-free microstructure with varying TiB2 and TiC particle distribution in the metal matrix. The results of this study show that the development of new phases plays a significant role in the properties of these composite materials.

Cold upsetting experiments were carried out on sintered Fe 0.8%C1.0%Si-0. 4%Cu steel preforms in order to evaluate their deformation characteristics. powder preforms of 86 % of theoretical density, with two different ratios of height to diameter, were prepared using a suitable die set assembly on a 1.0 MN capacity hydraulic testing machine. Sintering was carried out in an electric muffle furnace for 1.5 h at 1 150 ℃. Each sintered compact was subjected to incremental loading of 0.04 MN under dry friction condition till a crack appeared at the free surfaces. The experimental results were critically analysed, the stress as a function of strain and densification was obtained, then the work hardening behaviour was analyzed. It has been found that in the process of enhancing densification, strength and strain hardening is also induced during upsetting, but the work hardening behaviour is not homogenously enhanced against strain and densification.
