Activator protein-1(Ap-1)transcription factor is a key component of many signal transduction pathways involved in the regulation of cellular processes and controls rapid responses of mammalian cells when exposed to the variety of *** phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate and Forskolin(Fo)are well-known kinase activators/stimulators of protein Kinase C(pKC)and protein Kinase A(pKA)***,these kinases are found to be present in transitional points of many cell signaling pathways,especially those involved in *** stimulating effect of pKC and pKA on the expression of Ap-1 factors in MCF-7 breast cell proliferation is not well ***,the role of pKC by pMA treatment and the role of pKA by using Fo in MCF-7 cells is ***,cells treated with pMA showed increased cell proliferation,while Fo had no effect,but inhibited the pMA induced *** RT-pCR results showed the pMA induced c-Jun,c-Fos and Fra-1 expressions compared to control and ***,Fo in combination with pMA,inhibit the pMA induced above mRNA expressions where Fo alone has no *** blot studies validated the c-Jun expressions in pMA treated MCF-7 ***,pMA increases the mRNA expression of Cyclin-E1,Cyclin-D1,and CDK-4,whereas Fo decreases their ***,mitogenic effect of pMA and inhibitory action of Fo on MCF-7 cells is probably enhanced via activation of Ap-1 factors and concomitant action of cell cycle regulators in the downstream singling cascade.

Background: Mario Bertolotti, (1917) described LSTV-Lumbar spinal transitional vertebra as Bertolotti Syndrome a century ago and associated low back pain with it. Yet, it needs to be given significance in general orthopaedic practice even now, and radiologists underreport it. LSTV is a congenital anatomical anomaly that Castellvi classified into four varying types. purpose: I titled this phenomenon “kiran Nandivada’s stuck blade in a grinder jar degenerative cascade by LSTV at L5-S1” to clearly explain how an abnormal mega-transverse apophysis with its various variations affects the weight-bearing mechanics as the L5-S1 which is a vital junction where the maximum body weight is directed into both the sacroiliac joints and if a transitional vertebra occurs it becomes detrimental and abnormally redirects the load-bearing forces and leads to a progressive degenerative cascade both proximally and distally. As the L5 vertebral rotations and other movements of flexion, extensions, lateral flexion are stuck like a bent grinder blade, the other areas of the region are damaged progressively as the pelvis, just like the grinder motor tries to move it, resulting in overheating and maybe even a burnout results in the form of facet arthritis, disc degeneration in the normal disc above, the transitional disc at L5-S1, foraminal osteophytes causing radiculopathy, sacroiliac joint arthritis. Material and Methods: Around 200 X-rays of children and adults with this congenital anomaly have been studied between 2020 and 2023. This is a retrospective study. Results: 1) Our study showed an Increased incidence of LSTV at 15%. 2) patients ranged from asymptomatic, atypical lumbago to classical lumbago with sciatica and claudication. Findings supported facet and sacroiliac joint arthritis and the pain, relieved with physiotherapy, posture corrections, weight reduction, and lifestyle precautions, negating the need for local steroid injections, radiofrequency ablation or surgical excision as

Homicide has become a common practice reflecting anger in southern India. The purpose of this study was to identify the potential risk factors and susceptible victims. This retrospective study analyses the data of 590 cases. Our study revealed that the victims were mostly males of 21 - 30 years, married (63.56%), illiterates (44.07%), low socioeconomic status and belong to rural areas. The laborers and farmers were almost equally affected in males and housewives in females. Outdoor incidents were more (61.86%). Majority of victims were innocent (82.20%) with no previous history of cognizable offence. Blood alcohol was found positive in 30.23% of victims. Sharp cutting weapons were mostly used, with hemorrhage and shock being the most common cause of death. previous enmity and familial disharmony were the two common causes behind such heinous crime. Most victims had injuries over multiple body parts. Some potential risk factors and their preventive measures pointed at the end.

This report describes the procedure of a case in which the skin paddle of the free fibula flap derived its supply solely from a soleal musculocutaneous perforator originating from the posterior tibial *** contrast,the osteo-muscular component was supplied by the peroneal vascular *** harvested the skin paddle with its vascular supply from the posterior tibial artery separately,and the osteo-muscular fibula was harvested with its supply from peroneal *** this way,we avoided violation of the second donor site for the skin *** addition,we used the distal end of peroneal vessels to salvage our skin paddle instead of sacrificing another set of neck vessels for *** technique may also be utilised in cases where the neck vessels may not be available due to previous surgeries,radiation therapy,or decision by the surgery team to not sacrifice two sets of neck vessels for anastomosis.

Heat exchangers have its major application in automobile, air condition, refrigerator, power plants, and many others. Heat transfer characteristics and performance of Copper spiral heat exchanger are investigated and compared with pure water. Nanofluid can enhance thermos-physical properties. Experiment is carried out for water based SiO2 Nanofluid with 15 nm average sized nanoparticle at varying air velocity and mass flow rate of fluid to investigate its effect on heat transfer coefficient. From the experimental data, a closed form solution for Nusselt number has been calculated using ∈-NTU method. A new correlation has been proposed as a function of Reynolds number and prandtl number. The heat transfer rate, effectiveness, has been significantly higher compared to pure water and with increasing volume fraction of nanoparticles.

The current work envisages synthesis of an ester prodrug of flurbiprofen whereby its carboxylic group was condensed with a skeletal muscle relaxant methocarbamol, with the aim of synergistic activity of two drugs, avoid flurbiprofen mediated gastro-intestinal damage and minimize the ulceration tendency of flurbiprofen. The synthesized prodrug was characterized and confirmed by physicochemical and spectroscopic studies. Solubility and partition coefficient studies indicated an increased lipophilicity and thus better suitability for oral administration than the parent drugs and the protein binding studies revealed a low protein binding capacity of the mutual prodrug. Subsequently, in-vitro hydrolysis was studied in different pH, simulated gastric fluid, simulated intestinal fluid and plasma and quantitative evaluation was performed by high performance liquid chromatography. It was found that the prodrug remained unhydrolyzed in the stomach after absorption however, underwent rapid cleavage by the esterases in blood to give the parent drug. Furthermore, the mutual ester prodrug was evaluated for its anti-inflammatory, analgesic, skeletal muscle relaxation, ulcerogenic and total acid content activity and was found to possess comparable activity with that of the parent drugs. Microscopic structures of the stomach tissues revealed significant reduction in gastric ulcer formation of mice gastric mucosa as compared to parent carboxylic acid drug.

In many societies,appearing slim(corresponding to a small body-mass index)is considered *** fashion industry has been attempting to cater to this trend by designing outfits that can enhance the appearance of *** anecdotal rules,widespread in the world of fashion,are to choose dark clothes and avoid horizontal stripes,in order to appear *** far,empirical evidence has been unable to conclusively determine the validity of these rules,and there is consequently much controversy regarding the impact of both color and patterns on the visual perception of *** this paper,we aim to close this gap by presenting the results from a series of large-scale crowdsourcing studies that investigate the above two *** gathered a dataset of around 1000 images of people from the Web together with their ground-truth weight and height as well as clothing attributes about colors and *** elicit the effects of colors and patterns,we asked crowd workers to estimate the weight in each *** the analysis,we controlled potential confounds by matching images in pairs where the two images differ with respect to color or pattern,but are similar with respect to other relevant *** created image pairs in two ways:firstly,observationally,i.e.,from two real images;and secondly,experimentally,by manipulating the color or pattern of clothing in a real image via photo *** on our analysis,we conclude that dark clothes indeed decrease perceived weight slightly but statistically significantly,and horizontal stripes have no discernible effect compared to solid light-colored *** results contribute to advancing the debate around the effect of specific clothing colors and patterns and thus provide empirical grounds for everyday fashion ***,our work gives an outlook on the vast opportunities of using crowd sourcing in the modern fashion industry.
