Two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs)have attracted tremendous interest as functional materials due to their exceptionally diverse and tunable properties,especially in their *** addition to the conventional armchair and zigzag edges common to hexagonal 2D materials,more complex edge reconstructions can be realized through careful control over the synthesis ***,the whole family of synthesizable,reconstructed edges remains poorly ***,we develop a computational approach integrating ensemble-generation,force-relaxation,and electronic-structure calculations to systematically and efficiently discover additional reconstructed edges and screen their functional properties.

We investigated the parametric optimization on incremental sheet forming of stainless steel using Grey Relational Analysis(GRA) coupled with principal Component Analysis(pCA). AISI 316L stainless steel sheets were used to develop double wall angle pyramid with aid of tungsten carbide tool. GRA coupled with pCA was used to plan the experiment conditions. Control factors such as Tool Diameter(TD), Step Depth(SD), Bottom Wall Angle(BWA), Feed Rate(FR) and Spindle Speed(SS) on Top Wall Angle(TWA) and Top Wall Angle Surface Roughness(TWASR) have been studied. Wall angle increases with increasing tool diameter due to large contact area between tool and workpiece. As the step depth, feed rate and spindle speed increase,TWASR decreases with increasing tool diameter. As the step depth increasing, the hydrostatic stress is raised causing severe cracks in the deformed surface. Hence it was concluded that the proposed hybrid method was suitable for optimizing the factors and response.

The use of prefabricated vertical drains(pVD)in liquefiable deposits is gaining attention due to enhanced ***,investigations on pVD in mitigating re-liquefaction during repeated shaking events are not *** study performed a series of shaking table experiments on untreated and pVD-treated specimens prepared with 40%and 60%relative *** sinusoidal loading was applied with an incremental peak acceleration of 0.1g,0.2g,0.3g,and 0.4g,at 5 Hz shaking frequency with 40 s *** performance of treated ground was evaluated based on the generation and dissipation of excess pore water pressure(EpWp),induced sand densification,subsidence,and cyclic stress *** addition,the strain accumulated in fresh and exhumed pVD was investigated using geotextile tensile testing apparatus aided with digital image *** evidence of pore pressure was reported up to 0.2g peak acceleration for 40%and 60%relative density *** continuous occurrence of soil densification and drainage medium restrained and delayed the generation of EpWp and expedited the dissipation *** study demonstrates pVD can mitigate re-liquefaction,without suffering from deterioration,when subjected to medium to high intense repeated shaking events.

A transformer is an essential but expensive power delivery equipment for a distribution *** many distribution utilities worldwide,a sizable percentage of transformers are near the end of their designed *** the same time,distribution utilities are adopting smart inverter-based distributed solar photovoltaic(SpV)systems to maximize renewable *** central objective of this paper is to propose a methodology to quantify the effect of smart inverter-based distributed SpV systems on the aging of distribution *** proposed method is first tested on a modified IEEE-123 node distribution *** that,the procedure is applied to a practical distribution system,i.e.,the Indian Institute of Technology(IIT)Roorkee campus,*** transformer aging models,alongside advanced control functionalities of grid-tied smart inverter-based SpV systems,are implemented in *** open-source simulation tool(OpenDSS)is used to model distribution *** analyze effectiveness of various inverter functionalities,time-series simulations are performed using exponential load models,considering daily load curves from multiple seasons,load types,current harmonics,*** show replacing a traditional inverter with a smart inverter-based SpV system can enable local reactive power generation and may extend the life of a distribution *** results demonstrate,simply by incorporating smart inverter-based SpV systems,transformer aging is reduced by 15%to 22%in comparison to SpV systems operating with traditional inverters.
