In the present study,organically modified Montmorillonite clay with polar moiety,the Cloisite 30B,is used for preparation of Hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene(HTpB)-clay nanocomposites(HCN)by dispersion of nanoclay in polymer matrix under high shear *** nanocomposites thus prepared are evaluated in composite propellants as inhibitor material for their functional *** inhibition formulations containing 5 wt%-15 wt%of nanoclay,with or without the conventional filler Sb2O3,were *** these formulations were evaluated for their physical,mechanical,thermal,and ablative *** rate and density of the compositions containing Cloisite 30B is around 23%and 5%lower respectively in comparison of the base *** capability of these compositions is twofold higher than that of base *** compositions have also been evaluated for their smoke generation tendency by measuring infra red(IR)attenuation in the wavelength range 1.3 mm e5.6 mm and 8 mme13 mm and thereby compared with the base *** corresponding results confirmed that the compositions containing Cloisite 30B as filler have much lower IR attenuation than compositions with conventional filler,*** of 5%Sb2O3 by nanoclay showed 8%reduction in IR attenuation rate which further reduced to 16%on replacement of 15%of *** bonding of HCN based inhibitors is also comparable or even better than conventional ***,the nanoclay composites with Cloisite 30B as filler exhibit all desirable properties of an inhibitor.

It is widely acknowledged that navigation is a significant source of between *** Global positioning System(GpS)has numerous navi-gational advancements,and hence it is used *** navigation can be compromised at any level between position,location,and estimation,to the detriment of the ***,a navigation system requires the precise location and underpinning tracking of an object without signal *** objective of a hybrid environment prediction system is to foresee the location of the user and their territory by employing a variety of sensors for position estimation and monitoring *** article presents a state estimation of the relative position for indoor and outdoor activity solved with a state estimation algorithm utilizing Kalman ***,a comparative study of variants of the Kalman filter,where linearizing current mean and covariance with nonlinear state estimation as an approach of Extended Kalman Filter(EFK)is applied to the collected *** third comparative aspect uses probability distribution for the selected points with a Sigma point Kalman Filter(SpKF)for evaluating an accelerometer,gyroscope,and GpS data in hybrid environments for various activities for different data collection scenar-ios from *** findings of the presented model demonstrate the robust performance of all forms of the Kalman filter algorithm for diverse user-performed activities in totally contaminated indoor and outdoor *** findings with various patterns and data,conducted by different subjects using multiple modes of navigation,show that the approach can indeed lead to the intelligent development of sensor-based navigation and *** estimation and prediction is extraordinarily beneficial for mining applications,autonomous vehicle localization/tracking,and location-based *** research work demonstrates both EKF-based and SpKF-based sensor fusion to provide an appropriate estimation.

Here we report experiments on particle cluster settling at high Reynolds number in quiescent liquid contained in a *** particles were observed to spread at the vessel bottom surface in a near-circular annular shape after settling irrespective of the shape of the vessel cross-section and particle shape,size,and *** of different parameters such as mass,type and aspect ratio of the particles,height,and viscosity of liquid was investigated on spreading *** of the hemispherical bottom cap of the cluster that bounces upon hitting the vessel bottom surface was found to be responsible for the final circular annular shape of the settled *** leakage from the cluster was seen in the form of a *** the liquid having viscosity beyond 100 cp,cluster breakage was observed that resulted in hindered settling and asymmetric shapes of finally settled *** observations are useful to understand the overall area over which settling and spreading of such clusters can be observed.

Distributed Generation(DG)sources,predominantly renewable energy-based,such as solar photovoltaic and wind energy sources,have significantly penetrated into power system *** high penetration of DG sources may lead to the formation of unintentional islands,which is hazardous to both the equipment and personnel,if *** this paper,46 passive parameters are considered to find out which candidate(s)are promising for detecting sustained unintentional islands and avoid false DG *** 46 parameters are derived from point of common coupling(pCC)voltage,DG output current,frequency,power factor angle,active and reactive *** these parameters are tested on standard IEEE 13 and 34 bus distribution networks,integrated with inverter-interfaced DGs at different locations for different penetration levels in the MATLAB/SIMULINK *** parameters are tested for different islanding events(comprising of various local loads,such as conventional parallel RLC resonant load,R,RC,and RL loads)and for different non-islanding *** parameters are then ranked accordingly by a suitable averaging approach based performance ranking *** this analysis,the best candidates are obtained for detecting inverter DG islands at single-point(or single pCC)locations and multi-point(or multiple pCCs)*** best passive candidates are obtained for different island scenarios from which a set of promising islanding detection indicators are proposed.

Objective:To prepare naringenin herbosome and evaluate its antidiabetic ***:Herbosomes were prepared by the solvent evaporation *** vitro parameters like particle size,polydispersity index,zeta potential,and entrapment efficiency were estimated and in vitro diffusion study was *** in vivo studies were also performed in streptozotocin-induced diabetic male Sprague Dawley rats to evaluate blood glucose,total cholesterol,triglyceride,blood urea nitrogen,total protein,albumin level,aspartate aminotransferase,and alanine aminotransferase ***:The optimized herbosome batch showed a particle size of 564.4 nm,a polydispersity index of 0.412,and zeta potential of−39.3 *** percentage entrapment of this formulation was 84.04%,with complete drug release within 8 *** of diabetic rats with naringenin herbosomes for 28 d significantly reduced the elevated level of plasma glucose as compared to plain *** biochemical parameters,the treatment showed a significant decrease in total cholesterol,triglyceride,and blood urea nitrogen;while elevated levels of aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase were returned to *** naringenin and herbosome formulation at high dose increased the total protein whereas albumin level significantly increased in naringenin herbosomes at the highest dose but not in the pure naringenin treatment ***:Naringenin herbosomes could improve the metabolic profile of diabetic rats,indicating enhanced antidiabetic activity of herbosome formulation.

The present study deals with development of conceptual proof for jute rubber based flexible composite block to completely arrest the projectile impacting the target at high velocity impact of 400 m/s through numerical simulation approach using finite element(FE)*** proposed flexible composite blocks of repeating jute/rubber/jute(JRJ)units are modelled with varying thickness from 30 mm to 120 mm in increments of 30 mm and impacted by flat(F),ogival(O)and hemispherical(HS)shaped *** the considered projectiles are impacted with proposed flexible composite blocks of different thicknesses and the penetration behaviour of the projectile in each case is *** penetration depth of the projectile in case of partially penetrated cases are considered and the effect of thickness and projectile shape on percentage of penetration depth is statistically analyzed using Taguchi’s design of experiments(DOE).Results reveal that the though proposed flexible composite block with thickness of 90 mm is just sufficient to arrest the complete penetration of the projectile,considering the safety issues,it is recommended to use the flexible composite with thickness of 120 *** nature of damage caused by the projectile in the flexible composite is also *** studies show that thickness of the block plays a prominent role in determining the damage resistance of the flexible composite.
