Climate has changed sufficiently over the last 150 years and forced out upper treeline advance at the most studied sites around the *** rate of advance has been extremely variable–from tens to hundreds meters in *** is because the degree at which tree frontal populations respond to climate change depends on the complex interaction of biological and physical *** resulting stand pattern is the consequence of the interaction between dispersal and survival functions.A few publications have addressed the question of how this pattern is *** order to understand how the spatial structure of tree stands was formed at the upper limit of their distribution in the Ural Mountains,we assessed the distance and direction of dispersal of offspring from maternal *** found that in frontal larix sibirica ***,‘effective’dispersal of offspring ranges from 3 to 758 m(with a median of 20–33 m in open forest and 219 m in single-tree tundra in the polar Urals and 107 m in open forest in the Northern Urals).We revealed that most of the offspring effectively dispersed not only in the direction of the prevailing winds,but also in the opposite direction up the slope,and the distance can reach 500–760 *** data obtained can be used to develop an individual-based model which is capable of simulating in detail the dynamics of tree stands at the upper limit of their growth and reliably predicting the future position and pattern of treeline ecotone as growth conditions continue to improve in the face of observed climate change.

the main goal of our study is to reveal unexpected but intriguing analogies arising between optical solitons and nuclear physics,which still remain hidden from *** consider the main cornerstones of the concept of nonlinear optics of nuclear reactions and the well-dressed repulsive-core *** the base of this model,we reveal the most intriguing properties of the nonlinear tunneling of nucleus-like solitons and the soliton selfinduced sub-barrier transparency *** describe novel interesting and stimulating analogies between the interaction of nucleus-like solitons on the repulsive barrier and nuclear sub-barrier *** main finding of this study concerns the conservation of total number of nucleons(or the baryon number)in nuclear-like soliton *** show that inelastic interactions among well-dressed repulsive-core solitons arise only when a“cloud”of“dressing”spectral side-bands appears in the frequency spectra of the *** property of nucleus-like solitons is directly related to the nuclear density distribution described by the dimensionless small shape-squareness *** the Fourier spectra of nucleus-like solitons are similar to the nuclear form *** show that the nuclear-like reactions between well-dressed solitons are realized by“exchange”between“particle-like”side bands in their spectra.

the Radcliffe Wave parameters from Data on Open Star Clusters

A spectral analysis of the vertical positions and velocities of 374 open star clusters(OSCs)was carried *** took these OSCs from the Hunt and Reffert catalog;they have an average age of about 10 million years,and are located on the galactic plane XY in a narrow zone inclined by 25°to the galactic axis *** following estimates of the parameters of the Radcliffe wave were obtained:(a)the maximum value in periodic perturbations of vertical coordinates Z_(max)=92±10pc with the wavelength of these perturbations λ_(z)=4.82±0.09 kpc;(b)the maximum value of the velocity of vertical disturbances Wmax=4.36±0.12km s^(-1) with disturbance wavelengthλ_(W)=1.78±0.02 *** that the results of the vertical velocity analysis are first-class in accuracy and completely new.

A paper analytical device (pAD) was developed for the colourimetric estimation of alkaline phosphatase (Alp). Alp catalyzes the hydrolysis of disodium phenyl phosphate (DSpp) to phenol, which then undergoes oxidative coupling with4-aminoantipyrine (4-AAp) producing a reddish brown-coloured quinone imine. the colourimetric reaction tested in solution has been translated onto a pAD for the point of care (poC) testing of Alp. A uniform colour was obtained in 25 min with the introduction of Alp onto the reagent drop cast paper device. the images obtained by scanning the pAD were processed using ImageJ software. the colour intensity obtained by image processing was proportional to the concentration of Alp present in the sample. Alp in serum and saliva samples were tested using the pAD in the range of 0 to 528 U/l and0 to 187 U/l, respectively. the interference studies revealed that the pAD was selective to Alp in the presence of other biomolecules. the pAD exhibited a limit of detection (lOD) of 3.3 U/l and a sensitivity of 48.36 a.u/log(U/l) for serum Alp and lOD of 1.69 U/l and a sensitivity of 28.5 a.u/log (U/l) for salivary Alp. the pAD showed good agreement with the clinical methods for real samples.

B-l model with D_(4)×Z_(4)×Z_(2)symmetry for fermion mass hierarchies and mixings

We constructed a gauge B-l model with D_(4)×Z_(4)×Z_(2)symmetry to explain the quark and lepton mass hierarchies and their mixings with realistic Cp phases via the type-I seesaw *** quark mases,three quark mixing angles,and the Cp phase in the quark sector take the central values whereas Yukawa couplings in the quark sector are diluted in a range of difference of three orders of magnitude by the perturbation theory at the first *** the neutrino sector,a small neutrino mass is achieved by the type-I seesaw *** inverted and normal neutrino mass hierarchies are consistent with the experimental *** predicted sum of neutrino masses for normal and inverted hierarchies,the effective neutrino masses,and the Dirac Cp phase are also consistent with recently reported limits.

Detailed seismic zoning of the East Kazakhstan region in the Republic of Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan is currently drafting new construction regulations that comply with the major provisions of the *** regulations are created on the basis of seismic zoning maps of various degrees of detail,developed by our Institute of Seismology using a new methodological approach for *** article is about creating the first normative map of the Detailed Seismic Zoning on a probabilistic foundation for the Republic of Kazakhstan’s East Kazakhstan *** carried out the probabilistic assessment of seismic hazard using a methodology consistent with the main provisions of Eurocode 8and updated compared with that used in developing maps of Kazakhstan’s General Seismic Zoning and seismic microzoning of *** most thorough and current data accessible for the area under consideration were combined with contemporary analytical *** have been done to not only the databases being used but also the way seismic sources were shown,including active faults *** a scale of 1:1000000,precise seismic zoning maps of the East Kazakhstan region were created for two probabilities of exceedance:10%and 2%in 50 years in terms of peak ground accelerations and macroseismic *** obtained seismic hazard distribution is generally consistent with the General Seismic Zoning of Kazakhstan’s previous ***,because active faults were included and a thoroughly revised catalog was used,there are more pronounced zones of increased danger along the fault in the western part of the *** the west of the territory,acceleration values also increased due to a more accurate consideration of seismotectonic *** maps are the basis for developing new state building regulations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

How Common can the Origin of Clusters Cha Ⅰ, Cha Ⅱ, ∈Cha and η Cha be?

the trajectories of the groupings η Cha,∈Cha and Cha I,Cha II,constructed backward in time,have been *** concluded that the hypothesis about the joint formation of all four of these clusters from one molecular cloud cannot be completely ***,10–15 Myr ago,all these four clusters were located at approximately the same height above the plane of the ***,the gas-dust clouds from which all these four clusters were formed were located on one broad *** is possible that the appearance of the Cha I,Cha II,∈Cha and η Cha clusters may be associated with the impact on such a front of shock waves formed after supernova explosions in the Scorpius–Centaurus *** estimates of the kinematic ages of the clusters Cha I and Cha II are obtained as 0.12±0.19 and 0.05±0.15,*** is shown that the minimum size of the Cha I-north and Cha I-south clusters corresponded to the time of 0.55±0.24 Myr and 0.04±0.18 Myr ago,respectively,and approximately1.5 Myr ago the distance between the trajectories of these two groupings was minimal.

A study of the inelastic scattering of neutrons with an energy of 14.1 Mev on the nuclei of oxygen,phosphorus,and sulfur was performed at the tANGRA facility at JINR(Dubna).the experiment aimed to refine existing data and obtain new data on the yields and angular distributions ofγ-quanta emitted by the studied nuclei due to neutron-induced nuclear reactions using the tagged neutron *** types of detector systems were used to registerγ-***γ-ray yields were measured using a high-purity germanium(HpGe)*** angular distributions ofγ-rays were obtained using a system of 18 scintillation detectors based on bismuth germanite Bi_(4)Ge_(3)O_(12)(BGO)located around the *** performed experiments measured the yields of two transitions for the reaction of tagged neutrons with 16O,nine transitions for the reaction with ^(31)p,and nine transitions for the reaction with ^(32)S for the first *** angular anisotropy of theγ-radiation accompanying the inelastic scattering of neutrons with an energy of 14.1 Mev on ^(31)p nuclei was also measured for the first time.
