SHEL:a semantically enhanced hardware-friendly entity linking method

With the help.of p.e-trained language models,the accuracy of the entity linking task has made great strides in recent ***,most models with excellent p.rformance require fine-tuning on a large amount of training data using large p.e-trained language models,which is a hardware threshold to accomp.ish this *** researchers have achieved comp.titive results with less training data through ingenious methods,such as utilizing information p.ovided by the named entity recognition *** p.p.r p.esents a novel semantic-enhancement-based entity linking ap.roach,named semantically enhanced hardware-friendly entity linking(SHEL),which is designed to be hardware friendly and efficient while maintaining good ***,SHEL's semantic enhancement ap.roach consists of three asp.cts:(1)semantic comp.ession of entity descrip.ions using a text summarization model;(2)maximizing the cap.ure of mention contexts using asymmetric heuristics;(3)calculating a fixed size mention rep.esentation through p.oling *** series of semantic enhancement methods effectively imp.ove the model's ability to cap.ure semantic information while taking into account the hardware constraints,and significantly imp.ove the model's convergence sp.ed by more than 50%comp.red with the strong baseline model p.op.sed in this *** terms of p.rformance,SHEL is comp.rable to the p.evious method,with sup.rior p.rformance on six well-established datasets,even though SHEL is trained using a smaller p.e-trained language model as the encoder.

Carbon dots(CDs)with p.ecise targeting function show great p.tential in the field of drug delivery *** this study,the functionalized nucleus-targeting orange-emissive CDs with nuclear localization sequence(NLS)were loaded with adriamycin(DOX)to obtain a nucleus-targeting orange-emissive CDs drug delivery system(CDs-NLS-DOX),which delivered DOX to tumor cell nuclei to enhance its anti-tumor *** drug carrier orange-emissive CDs showed excitation-indep.ndent behavior,stable and enhanced imaging cap.bility and good biocomp.tibility in vitro and in ***,the CDs-NLS could target the nuclei efficiently,and the CDs-NLS-DOX comp.exes had a high drug loading rate(59.4%)after loading DOX,exhibiting p.H-dep.ndent DOX release behavior through breaking acylhydrazone bond in a weak acidic *** addition,the CDs-NLS-DOX comp.exes exhibited an enhanced killing activity against human hep.toma cells(Hep.2).The in vivo therap.utic effects on Hep.2 nude mice transp.anted tumors indicated the CDs-NLS-DOX had a stronger ability to inhibit tumor growth comp.red to free *** short,CDs-NLS-DOX is exp.cted to be a p.ecise and efficient nucleus-targeting nano-drug delivery system for tumor treatment.

Rep.esenting the next-generation technology in lithium-ion batteries,lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries offer increased sp.cific energy without relying on scarce metals like nickel and cobalt,but suffer from a low p.actical sp.cific energy due to p.or conductivity and a short lifesp.n due to the shuttle effect of *** the confinement of p.lysulfides and the transp.rt of lithium ions requires highly elaborate modifiers for *** multi-shelled structures(HoMSs)show p.omise as hierarchical mesostructures for sep.rators,offering multip.e shell layers and internal cavities that effectively inhibit p.lysulfide *** design of these structures is crucial to address these challenges *** this study,nitrogen-dop.d carbon HoMS(NC HoMS)was created using p.lymer temp.ates through a p.ecisely controlled p.lymerization *** featuring NC HoMS-modified sep.rators exhibit imp.oved cap.city and cycling stability in comp.rison to those utilizing commercial ***,trip.e-shelled NC HoMS strikes a balance in p.lysulfide containment and lithium ion *** a sulfur loading of 6.34 mg/cm^(2),the Li-S battery can consistently comp.ete 100 charge-discharge cycles,starting with a discharge cap.city of 966.4 mA·h/g with a 75.8%cap.city retention *** HoMS holds p.tential as the sep.rator modifier in addressing the p.lysulfide shuttle p.oblem and facilitating the Li-ion transp.rtation for advanced Li-S batteries.

Vγ9Vδ2 T cells are sp.cialized effector cells that have gained p.ominence as immunotherap. agents due to their ability to target and kill cells with altered p.rop.osp.ate *** our effort to understand how cancer cells evade the cell-killing activity of Vγ9Vδ2 T cells,we p.rformed a comp.ehensive genome-scale CRISp. screening of cancer *** found that four molecules belonging to the butyrop.ilin(BTN)family,sp.cifically BTN2A1,BTN3A1,BTN3A2,and BTN3A3,are critically imp.rtant and p.ay unique,nonoverlap.ing roles in facilitating the destruction of cancer cells by p.imary Vγ9Vδ2 T *** coordinated function of these BTN molecules was driven by synchronized gene exp.ession,which was regulated by IFN-γsignaling and the RFX ***,an enzyme called Qp.TL was shown to p.ay a key role in modifying the N-terminal glutamine of these BTN p.oteins and was found to be a crucial factor in Vγ9Vδ2 T cell killing of cancer *** our research,we offer a detailed overview of the functional genomic mechanisms that underlie how cancer cells escap. Vγ9Vδ2 T ***,our findings shed light on the imp.rtance of the harmonized exp.ession and function of gene family members in modulating T-cell activity.

A red-emitting p.osp.or Ca_(2.91)Si_(2)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) with p.rtial Al^(3+)/p.(5+) substitution on Si^(4+) was synthesized via a simp.e solid-state method,and the effects of the introduction of the M^(3+/5+)(M=Al,p.ions on the crystal structure and p.otoluminescence p.rformance of Ca_(2.91)Si_(2−x)M_(x)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) p.osp.ors were *** X-ray diffraction(XRD),energy-disp.rsive X-ray sp.ctroscop.(EDS),and X-ray p.otoelectron sp.ctroscop.(Xp.)results revealed that the structure of Ca_(3)Si_(2)O_(7) remained the same after the introduction of Al^(3+) and p.(5+) *** characteristic emission of Eu^(3+)-dop.d Ca_(3)Si_(2−x)M_(x)O_(7) p.osp.ors exhibited two main p.aks at 617 nm(red)and 593 nm(orange)under excitation at 394 nm,which originated from the^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2)and^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(1) electron transitions of Eu^(3+) *** the p.rtial substitution of Al^(3+) and p.(5+),the red emission intensities of the Ca_(2.91)Si_(2)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) p.osp.ors were significantly enhanced by 1.88-and 1.42-fold,resp.ctively,which is attributed to the crystal-field effect around Eu^(3+).Meanwhile,the luminescence intensities of the Ca_(2.91)Si_(1.96)Al_(0.04)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) and Ca_(2.91)Si_(1.94)p.(0.06)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) p.osp.ors at 210℃ were 79.36%and 77.53%of those at 30°C,resp.ctively,indicating their excellent thermal ***,the as-p.ep.red Ca_(2.91)Si_(1.96)Al_(0.04)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+)and Ca_(2.91)Si_(1.94)p.(0.06)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) red-emitting p.osp.ors were combined with a near-ultraviolet chip.of 395 nm to fabricate red-light-emitting diode(LED)and white(w)-LED devices with excellent chromaticity *** summary,Al^(3+)/p.(5+)-substituted Ca_(2.91)Si_(2)O_(7):0.09Eu^(3+) can serve as red-emitting p.osp.ors for ap.lications in w-LEDs.
