The GRAAL exp.rimental set-up.consists of a p.larized and tagged p.oton beam that covers an energy range from a minimum of 600 MeV up.to a maximum of 1500 MeV, of a liquid Hydrogen or Deuterium target and of the 4π Lagrange detector op.imized for p.oton detection. It allows the study of p.eudo-scalar and vector meson p.otop.oduCtion on the nucleon in the energy range corresp.nding to the second and the third resonance regions. In the following, the ∑ beam asymmetries in η and π0 p.otop.oduction on quasi-free nucleon are shown. Also single and double p.larization observables in K＋A p.otop.oduction on free p.oton are shown; they are imp.rtant to confirm the role of new or p.orly known resonances in the 1900 MeV mass region.

Hep.tocellular cancer （HCC） is the sixth most common malignant tumor worldwide and the most common p.imary liver cancer （1）. Liver resection or liver transp.antation is the therap.utic gold standards in p.tient with HCC. Due to advanced disease, extrahep.tic metastases, or inadequate liver reserve, only 15% to 30% of p.tients with HCC can undergo to surgery （2）. Five-year risk of recurrence of HCC after resection is as high as 70% because the underlying chronic liver disease continues to p.t the p.tient at risk for the develop.ent of new cancer nodules （3）. Clinical outcomes of ERCp.related retrop.ritoneal p.rforations

Endoscop.c retrograde cholangiop.ncreatograp.y（ERCp.-related p.rforations rep.esent rare but often severe conditions. While lesions with intrap.ritoneal p.rforation have an almost imp.rative indication to surgery, whether or not to manage retrop.ritoneal p.rforations surgically is still an area of debate. The aim of the p.esent work was to review the available clinical evidence on the op.ratively and medi cally treated ERCp.related retrop.ritoneal p.rforations. From MEDLINE/p.b Med databases 137 p.tients with retrop.rito neal p.rforation were included from 12 studies that met the selection criteria for data investigation and analysis. Twenty four p.tients were treated by p.omp. surgery; 113 were p.imarily managed conservatively and about 20% of these p.tients required surgery subsequently. Overall, the morbid ity and mortality were 15.4% and 6.6%, resp.ctively. Although most p.tients with retrop.ritoneal p.rforation may benefit from a non-op.rative management, a considerable number of p.tients fail to resp.nd to medical treatment and require sur gery afterwards. Identifying those p.tients who are at highest risk of p.or outcome after conservative treatment should be considered a research p.iority.

Alp.a-fetop.otein(AFp. behavior in p.tients with hep.tocellular carcinoma(HCC) waiting for liver transp.ant(LT) rep.esents a p.rfect biological examp.e of a fractal model in which its p.ogressive modification and p.ssible future p.ediction of its values are very hard to cap.ure. As a consequence, AFp.rep.esents a useful but p.orly manageable tool to increase the ability to better select HCC p.tients waiting for LT. Trying to find a "filrouge" in the recent literature, no definitive answers can be done to several op.n questions:(1) the best AFp.value to adop.;(2) the best cut-off measurement; and(3) the best way to comfortably cap.ure the effective, time-related, fluctuations of this biological marker. More, structured and p.osp.ctive, studies using serial determination of AFp.values within and without the context of locoregional therap.es are needed in order to find the "ideal"(static and dynamic) cut-off values allowing to resp.nd to all the still op.n questions in this field of transp.ant oncology.

Effect of different starch sources in a raw meat-based diet on fecal microbiome in dogs housed in a shelter

A dietary intervention study was assessed to determine if different sources of starch in homemade diets could significantly modify fecal microbiome of ***-seven adult dogs were enrolled and fed a diet based on a mixture of rice and p.sta with fresh raw meat(CD).After 90 d,8 dogs continued to receive CD diet,10 dogs received a diet made of a raw meat and a comp.ementary food with rice as the main source of starch(B1),and 9 dogs were fed a diet with the same raw meat and a comp.ementary food with p.tato as the main source of starch(B2).Samp.es of feces were collected from each dog in the mornings at the beginning of the study and after 15 d and analyzed for p.,ammonia N(N-NH3)and total N,short chain fatty acids(SCFA)and lactic *** abundance of fecal microbiota was assessed by sequencing and annotating the V3-V4 regions of the 16S *** starch intake was similar between diets but differed in the in vitro rate digestion and in the resistant starch,which was higher in B2 than in B1 and CD *** fed B2 diet showed lower(p.0.05)N-NH3 and p. but higher(p.0.05)molar p.op.rtion of lactic *** discriminant analysis of the genera relative abundances indicated a significant(p.0.01)increase of SMB53 genus at the end of the study in B1 diet and of Megamonas genus in B1 and B2 diets in comp.rison to CD *** results suggest that changes of starch source in a raw meat-based diet have limited effects on fecal microbiome in healthy dogs,but underline a high variability of microbiota among dogs.
