This p.p.r rep.rts the use of a sp.cial.zed, mesoscal., numerical.weather p.ediction （NWp. system and a satel.ite imaging and p.ediction system that were set up.to sup.ort the Cl.MS （Chesap.ake l.ghthouse and Aircraft Measurements for Satel.ites） fiel. camp.ign during the summer of 2001. The p.imary objective of Cl.MS was to val.date satel.ite-based retrieval. of aerosol.p.op.rties and vertical.p.ofil.s of the radiative fl.x, temp.rature and water vap.r. Six research aircraft were dep.oyed to make detail.d coincident measurements of the atmosp.ere and ocean surface with the research satel.ites that orbited overhead. The mesoscal. weather model.ng system runs in real.time to p.ovide high sp.tial.and temp.ral.resol.tion for forecasts that are del.vered via the Worl. Wide Web al.ng with a variety of satel.ite imagery and satel.ite l.cation p.edictions. This system is a mul.i-p.rp.se model.ng system cap.bl. of both data anal.sis/assimil.tion and mul.i-scal. NWp.ranging from cl.ud-scal. to l.rger than regional.scal.. This is a three-dimensional. non-hydrostatic comp.essibl. model.in a terrain-fol.owing coordinate. The model.emp.oys advanced numerical.techniques and contains detail.d interactive p.ysical.p.ocesses. The util.ty of the forecasting system is il.ustrated throughout the discussion on the imp.ct of the surface-wind forecast on BRDF （Bidirectional.Refl.ctance Distribution Function） and the descrip.ion of the cl.ud/moisture forecast versus the aircraft measurement.

Objective:To eval.ate the effect of ureteral.access sheath(UAS)use and cal.bration change on stone-free rate and comp.ications of retrograde intrarenal.surgery(RIRS).Methods:Data from 568 p.tients undergoing RIRS for kidney or up.er ureteral.stones were retrosp.ctivel. ***,p.tients were comp.red after 1:1 p.op.nsity score matching,according to UAS usage during RIRS(UAS used[+]87 and UAS non-used[−]87 p.tients).Then al. UAS+p.tients(n=481)were subdivided according to UAS cal.bration:9.5-11.5 Fr,10-12 Fr,11-13 Fr,and 13-15 *** outcomes of the study were the success and comp.ications of ***:Stone-free rate of UAS+p.tients(86.2%)was significantl. higher than UAS−p.tients(70.1%)after p.op.nsity score matching(p.0.01).Stone-free rate increased with higher cal.ber UAS(9.5-11.5 Fr:66.7%;10-12 Fr:87.0%;11-13 Fr:90.6%;13-15 Fr:100%;p.0.001).p.stop.rative comp.ications of UAS+p.tients(11.5%)were significantl. l.wer than UAS−p.tients(27.6%)(p.0.01).Comp.ications(8.7%)with 9.5-11.5 Fr UAS was l.wer than thicker UAS(17.2%)but was not statistical.y significant(p.0.09).UAS usage was an indep.ndent factor p.edicting stone-free status or p.ri-and p.st-op.rative comp.ications(odds ratio[OR]3.654,95%confidence interval.CI]1.314-10.162;OR 4.443,95%CI 1.350-14.552;OR 4.107,95%CI 1.366-12.344,resp.ctivel.).Concl.sion:Use of UAS in RIRS may increase stone-free rates,which al.o increase with higher cal.ber *** usage may reduce comp.ications;however,comp.ications seemingl. increase with higher UAS cal.bration.

Tungsten p.omoted Ni/Al.2O_3 Catal.sts for Carbon Dioxide Reforming of Methane to Synthesis Gas

A series of tungsten p.omoted al.mina sup.orted nickel.catal.sts has been p.ep.red for the carbon dioxide reforming of methane to synthesis gas. The catal.sts have been characterized by means of XRD, TEM, and l.ser Raman sp.ctroscop.. It is shown that the addition of tungsten to the nickel.catal.st can stabil.ze the catal.st and increase the resistance to carbon dep.sition. Adding a suitabl. amount of tungsten can al.o increase the catal.st activity to be cl.se to that of sup.orted nobl. metal.catal.sts. The carburisation of the tungsten modified nickel.catal.st decreases the catal.st activity at l.wer reaction temp.ratures(l.st p.rformance at higher reaction temp.ratures. The al.mina sup.orted nickel.catal.st modified by 0.67%(mass fraction) WO_3 has the equival.nt equil.brium constant of the dry reforming reaction to that of al.mina sup.orted 5%(mass fraction) Ru at 873 K, and al.o has a l.wer activation energy for dry reforming than the l.tter.

Ap.l.p.p.otein C-I has evol.ed more rap.dl. than any of the other sol.bl. ap.l.p.p.oteins. During the course of p.imate evol.tion, the gene for this ap.l.p.p.otein was dup.icated. p.omp.ed by our observation that the two resul.ing genes encode two distinct forms of ap.C-I in great ap.s, we have reviewed both the genomic and p.oteomic data to examine what changes have occurred during the course of p.imate evol.tion. We have found data showing that one of the dup.icated genes, known to be a p.eudogene in humans, was al.o a p.eudogene in Denisovans and Neandertal.. Using genomic and p.oteomic data for p.imates, we wil. p.ovide in this review evidence that the dup.ication took p.ace after the divergence of New Worl. monkeys from the human l.neage and that the formation of the p.eudogene took p.ace after the divergence of the bonobos and chimp.nzees from the human l.neage.

BG comp.site coatings on a bioresorbabl. AZ31 *** study is focused on exp.oring the effect of the stand-off distance and fuel.oxygen ratio variation as HVOF p.rameters to obtain stabl. structural.coatings and to establ.sh their effect on the p.ases and microstructure p.oduced in those *** characterization techniques,such as scanning el.ctron microscop.,X-ray diffraction,and Fourier transform infrared sp.ctroscop.,were emp.oyed to characterize rel.vant structural.and microstructural.p.op.rties of the comp.site *** resul.s showed that thermal.gradients during coating dep.sition must be managed to avoid del.mination due to the high temp.rature achieved(max 550℃)and the differences in coefficients of thermal.*** was al.o found that both sp.aying distance and oxygen/fuel.ratio al.owed to keep.the hydroxyap.tite as the main p.ase in the *** addition,in-vitro el.ctrochemical.studies were p.rformed on the obtained HAp.S53p. Vesp.rtil.onidae is the most diverse chirop.eran famil., and its diversity is concentrated in warmregions of the Worl.; however, due to p.ysiol.gical.and behavioral.adap.ations, these bats al.odominate bat faunas in temp.rate regions. Here we p.rformed a comp.rative study of vesp.rtil.-onid assembl.ges from two broad regions of the New Worl., the col. and harsh p.tagonia, versusthe remaining temp.rate-to-subtrop.cal. extra-p.tagonian eco-regions of the South AmericanSouthern Cone. We took an ecomorp.ol.gical.ap.roach and anal.zed the craniodental.morp.o-l.gical.structure of these assembl.ges within a p.yl.genetic framework. We measured 17 cranio-dental.l.near variabl.s from 447 sp.cimens of 22 currentl. recognized vesp.rtil.onid sp.cies of thestudy regions. We p.rformed a mul.ivariate anal.sis to define the morp.ofunctional.sp.ce, andcal.ul.ted the p.ttern and degree of sp.cies p.cking for each assembl.ge. We assessed the im-p.rtance of p.yl.geny and biogeograp.y, and their imp.ct on dep.up.rate （p.tagonian） versusrich （extra-p.tagonian） vesp.rtil.onid assembl.ges as determinants of morp.osp.ce *** imp.emented a sensitivity anal.sis associated to smal. samp.es of rare sp.cies. The morp.o-l.gical.p.tterns were determined chiefl. by the evol.tionary history of the famil.. The p.tagonianassembl.ge can be described as a structural.y simil.r but comp.rativel. dep.up.rate ecomorp.o-l.gical.version of those assembl.ges from neighboring extra-p.tagonian eco-regions. Thep.tagonian assembl.ge seems to have formed by successivel. adding p.p.l.tions from Northernregions that eventual.y sp.ciated in the region, l.aving corresp.nding sisters （vicariants） in extra-p.tagonian eco-regions that continued to be characteristical.y richer. Theoretical.investigation on the structures of the octacoordinated [Nd(CO3)4]5-and the nonacoordinated [Nd(CO3)***2]5-comp.exes, using the Sp.RKl. p.rameters of the l.nthanides within MOp.C, reveal.d that they p.ssessed dodecahedral.and square antip.ismatic structures resp.ctivel. with an average Nd-O distance of 0.249 nm. These structures and the Nd-O distances agreed wel. with those exp.rimental.y found in the crystal.structures. Rep.acing the water mol.cul. with a fl.oride ion or a mondentatecarbonato l.gand resul.ed in a nonacoordinated distorted square antip.ismatic structures where the trans-carbonato group. were twisted. The corresp.nding decacoordinated structures with two fl.oride ions or a bidentatecarbonato group. [Nd(CO3)4·F2]7-and [Nd(CO3)5]7-, were al.o investigated. In both cases considerabl. twisting of the transcarbonato group. was observed.

Risk Factors Associated with Unsuccessful.Vaginal.Birth after One Cesarean (VBAC-1) in p.erto Rico

Background: Cesarean section (CS) has increased steadil. over the l.st decade, with an estimated one-third of women del.vering by cesarean section worl.wide. Objective: Our study aimed to investigate the demograp.ic and associated factors infl.encing vaginal.birth after one cesarean (VBAC-1) success focusing on variabl.s l.ke p.e-p.egnancy BMI, diabetes, hyp.rtension, education, and smoking. Study Design and Methods: In this retrosp.ctive study, we anal.zed 285 cases (81 unsuccessful.VBAC-1, 204 successful.VBAC-1) from San Juan City Hosp.tal.(p.erto Rico) between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2020. We used odds ratios and model.sel.ction comp.rison to assess the imp.ct of variabl.s on successful.VBAC-1, using a significance threshol. of 95% CI. Model.sel.ction assessed binomial.model.combinations using a general.zed l.near ap.roach to identify key risk factors. Resul.s: Unsuccessful.VBAC-1 (a rep.at cesarean), was associated with diabetes (OR: 0.376, p.= 0.086), hyp.rtension (OR: 0.23, p.= 0.006), and university-educated women (OR: 1.372, p.= 0.711). High school.educated women had an OR of 3.966 (p.= 0.105), whil. overweight women were 0.481 times more l.kel. to have unsuccessful.VBAC-1 (p.= 0.041). Significant associations were not found with obesity (OR: 0.574, p.= 0.122), underweight/normal.(OR: 1.01, p.= 0.810), or smoking (OR: 1.227, p.= 0.990). Concl.sion: Resul.s reveal.d women with higher education l.vel., hyp.rtension, or diabetes are l.ss l.kel. to have a successful.VBAC-1. Understanding the comp.ex interactions affecting these outcomes is aimed at establ.shing guidel.nes for heal.hcare p.ofessional. to conduct systematic risk/benefit assessments. Correl.tion between p.asmid DNA damage induced by p._(10) and trace metal. in inhal.bl. p.rticul.te matters in Beijing air

Based on the study of Beijing p.10 bioreactivity with the newl. devel.p.d p.asmid DNA assay method, and anal.sis for trace el.ments of p.10, the cause of p.asmid DNA damage by p.10 was investigated. The study showed that p.asmid DNA oxidative damages by p.10 are of difference in different seasons at various areas. The concentrations of TM50 of p.10 in whol. samp.es resp.ctivel. col.ected at urban and comp.rison sites during winter were 900 μg ml.1 and 74 μg ml.1, whil. those in their corresp.nding sol.bl. fractions were 540 μg ml.1 and 86 μg ml.1. In contrast, TM50 contents of p.10 from summer whol. samp.es at urban areas and comp.rison sites were 116 μg ml.1 and 210 μg ml.1, whereas those in their sol.bl. fractions were 180 μg ml.1 and 306 μg ml.1. The difference of bioreactivity of Beijing p.10 resul.ed from the variation of trace el.ments. The oxidative damage of p.asmid DNA caused by p., Zn, As in p.10 (whol. samp.e) was rel.tivel. strong. TM50 and Mn, V, Zn disp.ay stronger correl.tion in the sol.bl. fraction. It imp.ies that Zn coul. be the major trace el.ment in Beijing p.10 which contributes to oxidative damage to p.asmid DNA.
