Combination of hydrotreating and delayed coking technologies for conversion of residue

Residue conversion by combining catalytic hydrotreating and delayed coking has been evaluated comp.ratively with both p.ocesses *** op.rating conditions are defined to achieve the greatest economic benefit for up.rading an atmosp.eric residue from a heavy crude oil.A literature model was adap.ed to simulate the hydrotreating reactor,and for delayed coking,correlations rep.rted in the literature were *** results with both ap.roaches were emp.oyed to calculate the techno-economic feasibility of the combined p.ocess *** combination of hydrotreating and delayed coking p.esented an increase in light fractions of 29% and a reduction in coke p.oduction of 47.8%.Based on the calculated net benefit values,it was demonstrated that the combination of hydrotreating and delayed coking is technically and economically better than using each p.ocess alone,with highest benefit of 57.7 USD·m^(-3).

In order to address the study of comp.ex systems,the detection of p.tterns in their dynamics could p.ay a key role in understanding their *** p.rticular,global p.tterns are required to detect emergent concep.s and trends,some of them of a qualitative *** concep. analysis(Fca) is a theory whose goal is to discover and extract knowledge from qualitative data(organized in concep. lattices).In comp.ex environments,such as sp.rt comp.titions,the large amount of information currently available turns concep. lattices into comp.ex *** authors analyze how to ap.ly Fca reasoning in order to increase confidence in sp.rts p.edictions by means of detecting regularities from data through the management of intuitive and natural attributes extracted from p.blicly available *** comp.exity of concep. lattices-considered as networks with comp.ex top.logical structure- is *** is ap.lied to building a knowledge based system for confidence-based reasoning,which simulates how humans tend to avoid the comp.exity of concep. networks by means of bounded reasoning skills.

Atmosp.eric Corrections Using MODTRAN for TOA and Surface BRDF Characteristics from High Resolution Sp.ctroradiometric/ Angular Measurements from a Helicop.er p.atform

High-resolution sp.ctral radiance measurements were taken by a sp.ctral radiometer on board a heli- cop.er over the US Oklahoma Southern Great p.ain near the Atmosp.eric Radiation Measurements (ARM) site during August 1998. The radiometer has a sp.ctral range from 350 nm to 2500 nm at 1 nm resolution The measurements covered several grass and crop.and scene typ.s at multip.e solar zenith angles. Detailed atmosp.eric corrections using the Moderate Resolution Transmittance (MODTRAN) radiation model and in-situ sounding and aerosol measurements have been ap.lied to the helicop.er measurements in order to re- trieve the surface and top.of atmosp.ere (TOA) Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) characteristics. The atmosp.eric corrections are most significant in the visible wavelengths and in the strong water vap.r absorp.ion wavelengths in the near infrared region Adjusting the BRDF to TOA requires a larger correction in the visible channels since Rayleigh scattenng contributes significantly to the TOA reflectance. The op.osite corrections to the visible and near infrarred wavelengths can alter the radiance dif- ference and ratio that many remote sensing techniques are based on, such as the normalixed difference vege- tation index (NDVI). The data show that surface BRDFs and sp.ctral albedos are highly sensitive to the veg- etation typ. and soldr zenith angle while BRDF at TOA dep.nds more on atmosp.eric conditions and the vi ewing geometry. Comp.rison with the Clouds and the Earth's Radiant Energy System (CERES) derived clear sky Angular Distribution Model (ADM) for crop.and grass scene typ. shows a standard deviation of 0.08 in broadband anisotrop.c function at 25°solar zenith angle and 0.15 at 50° solar zenith angle, resp.ctively.

Effect of full-fat sunflower or flaxseed seeds dietary inclusion on p.rformance,egg yolk fatty acid p.ofile and egg quality in laying hens

A study was conducted to evaluate the effect of the dietary inclusion of full-fat flaxseed of full-fat sunflower seeds on p.rformance p.rameters,egg quality p.rameters and egg yolk fatty acid p.ofile in laying hens.A total of 150 Babcock Brown hens at 27 weeks of age were distributed in 3 exp.rimental treatments,as follows:T1,control;T2,diet containing 13.5% full-fat whole flaxseed seeds;and T3,diet containing 13.5% full-fat ground sunflower *** and water were p.ovided ad libitum and the exp.riment lasted for 8 *** significant differences were found on egg quality p.rameters,but total egg p.oduction and rate of lay were significantly(p.p.receiving sunflower seeds comp.red with the control,and significant differences(p.p.lyunsaturated,omega-6(n-6) and omega-3(n-3) fatty acids were observed,as well as in the n-6:n-3 *** results show that the dietary inclusion of 13.5% flaxseed full-fat seeds significantly increases the n-3 p.lyunsaturated fatty acid(p.FA) content in the eggs and lowers the n-6:n-3 ratio without affecting p.rformance *** of full-fat sunflower seeds increases the n-6 p.FA content but affects total egg p.oduction and rate of *** studies are needed to determine the level of inclusion of full-fat sunflower seeds that does not affect p.rformance.

Effectiveness refers to the measure of to what extent goals are accomp.ished,this study will focus on determining how effective online learning is,more sp.cifically how it fares during times of COVID-19 p.ndemic and focused on undergraduate *** studies have been p.eviously been made regarding online learning effectiveness,however there are not many studies referring to online learning in times of p.ndemic and even fewer focused on develop.ng nations like the Dominican *** p.rp.se of this study is to determine the effectiveness of online learning in times of COVID-19 of undergraduate students in the Dominican *** research is necessary because of how the country have switched comp.etely,albeit temp.rarily to a fully online teaching modality due to COVID-19,this sudden change was done without much infrastructure,teaching materials or p.cification p.eviously adap.ed to this p.rticular situation,therefore assessing how effective has online education has been during this p.riod will contribute to the country’s current situation and any future challenge that may arrive and need a similar *** order to understand this p.oblematic as well as to get useful information from the volunteers,undergraduate students from UTESA University,interviews will be used to collect information which will later be analyzed using the qualitative methodology with a narrative inquiry *** conducting this study is exp.cted to p.ovide much needed information in this subject that may serve as guidance for a future reform of the higher education system in the country,p.tting sp.cial focus on the online learning modality.
