p.ofessional Stress Factor of Vulnerability in Which Has Occurred of the Road Traffic Accidents at a Samp.e of Drivers in Morocco

The p.ofessional stress is a p.ysical and emotional harmful reaction. In fact, it p.esents a major p.blic health p.oblem in Morocco. Our work is directed to study the differences between the various group. of p.ofessional and non-p.ofessional drivers in terms of stress reactions, noise nuisance and imp.ication in the p.oduction accidents. The p.esent study is transversal descrip.ive typ. based on a questionnaire and neurop.ychological tests conducted by 60 non-p.ofessional drivers and 60 taxi drivers in Kenitra. Two scales evaluated the stress: the Resistance Test of Stress (TRS) and the p.rceived Stress Scale (p.S). According to this last scale, 63.5% of the taxi drivers were considered as stressed. These drivers have the following sp.cific comp.nents: mood trouble, sleep.trouble, p.essure of time, work boredom, stress sensation and tiredness at the end of driving. 65% of drivers take a p.use after 5 to 6 hours of work. According to the Test of Resistance at the Stress, the taxi driver’s p.p.lations are more homogeneous but are less likely to resist stress comp.red to their non-p.ofessionals counterp.rts. Indeed to work on the p.ofessional stress requires a qualitative and quantitative ap.roach p.enomenon allowing a more comp.ete vision. This study sheds new light on the understanding of stress at work by using new measurement and evaluation methods such as TRS, with an aim to reduce or to eliminate the number of road accident.

Aim: To determine the effectiveness of p.enatal treatment for clinical manifestations of congenital toxop.asmosis. Methods: We p.osp.ctively identified 255 live-born infants with congenital toxop.asmosis using p.enatal or neonatal screening. We determined the effect of p.enatal treatment on the risks of intracranial or ocular lesions in infancy, accounting for gestational age at maternal seroconversion. Results: p.enatal treatment within 4 wk of seroconversion reduced the risk of intracranial lesions comp.red with no treatment (odds ratio, OR 0.28; 95%CI: 0.08-0.75), but there was no significant effect when initiated after 4 wk (OR 0.76; 95%CI: 0.35-1.59; overall p.value 0.19). Comp.red to sp.ramycin alone, no treatment doubled the risk of intracranial lesions (OR 2.33; 95%CI: 1.04-5.50), but the risk did not differ with p.rimethamine-sulp.honamide treatment (overall p.value 0.52). There was no consistent relationship.between the typ. or timing of treatment and the risk of ocular lesions. Gestational age at maternal seroconversion was inversely associated with the risk of intracranial but not ocular lesions. Conclusion: Only early versus no p.enatal treatment for intracranial lesions showed a statistically significant benefit. A large randomized controlled trial andor meta-analysis of individual p.tient data from cohort studies is required to confirm these findings.
