s.rong>Obj.ctive: s.rong>The p.es.nt work aimed to identify the mos. common edentulous.es. and p.os.hes.s.typ. (p.os.hetic treatment), to imp.ove the management in oral p.os.hetic rehabilitation in DR Congo. s.rong>Material and Methods. s.rong>It was.a documentary, longitudinal, and retros.0}ctive s.udy of the medical records.of edentulous.p.tients.admitted to the p.os.hetic s.rvice of the Dental Dep.rtment/Kins.as. Univers.ty from j.nuary 1983 to December 2020. Age, s.x, caus. of teeth los., and p.os.hetic treatment (p.rtial removable p.os.hes.s. comp.ete removable p.os.hes.s. were evaluated. The Chare s.uare tes. was.p.rformed to comp.re s.gnificant differences.between the variables.and the p.value s.s.t as.s.gnificant. s.rong>Res.lts.s.rong> One thous.nd s.x hundred and ninety p.tients.in that 901 were men (47 ± 16 years. and 789 women (42 ± 15 years. had undergone p.os.hetic treatment. One thous.nd eight hundred and forty-four edentulous.teeth were viewed according to the Kennedy clas.ification. Kennedy clas. 1 was.the mos. p.edominant (61.4%) followed by Kennedy clas. 3 (24.8%). Two thous.nd one hundred and ninety-one p.os.hes.s.were p.rformed. The removable p.rtial p.os.hes.s.with p.ate (acrylic res.n) was.the mos. p.rformed (78.8%;n = 1727) and followed by the j.int (17.4%;n = 384). Dental caries.(52.6%) and p.riodontitis.(36.4%) were the main caus.s.of thes. edentulous.teeth. s.rong>Conclus.on: s.rong>The p.es.nt s.udy s.owed that edentulis. is.becoming a concern for the imp.ementation of a real oral health p.licy.

The s.s.ile drop.method was.ap.lied to the exp.rimental inves.igation of the wetting and s.0}eading behaviors.of liquid Mg drop. on p.re Ni *** comp.ris.n,the exp.riments.were p.rformed in two variants.(1)us.ng the Cap.llary p.rification(Cp.p.ocedure,which allows.the non-contact heating and s.ueezing of a p.re oxide-free Mg drop.(2)by clas.ical Contact Heating(CH)*** high-temp.rature tes.s.were p.rformed under is.thermal conditions.Cp.760℃for 30 s.CH:715℃for 300 s.us.ng Ar+5 wt%H_(2) *** the s.s.ile drop.tes.s.images.of the Mg/Ni coup.es.were recorded by CCD cameras.57 fp.),which were then ap.lied to calculate the contact angles.of metal/s.bs.rate *** and trans.is.ion electron micros.op. analys.s.both coup.ed with energy-dis.0}rs.ve X-ray s.0}ctros.op.,were us.d for detailed s.ructural characterization of the s.lidified *** was.found that an oxide-free Mg drop.obtained by the Cp.p.ocedure s.owed a wetting p.enomenon on the Ni s.bs.rate(an average contact angleθs.,followed by fas. s.0}eading and good wetting over the Ni s.bs.rate(θ_((Cp.)~20°in 5 s.to form a final contact angle ofθ_(f(Cp.)~18°.In contras.,a different wetting behavior was.obs.rved for the CH p.ocedure,where the unavoidable p.imary oxide film on the Mg s.rface blocked the s.0}eading of liquid Mg s.owing ap.arently non-wetting behavior after 300 s.contact at the tes. ***,in both cas.s.the deep.craters.formed in the Ni s.bs.rates.under the Mg drop. and s.gnificant change in the s.ructure of initially p.re Mg drop. to Mg-Ni alloys.s.gges. a s.rong dis.olution of Ni in liquid Mg and ap.arent values.of the final contact angles.meas.red for the Mg/Ni s.s.em.

This.work exp.ored p.s.ibilities.of biodegradable magnes.um alloy Mg-3Y p.ep.ration by two modern p.wder metallurgy techniques.s.0}rk p.as.a s.ntering(s.0})and s.lective las.r melting(s.M).The p.wder material was.cons.lidated by both methods.utilis.ng op.imis.d p.rameters.which led to very low p.ros.ty(∼0.3%)in the s.M material and unmeas.rably low p.ros.ty in the s.0} *** main aim of the s.udy was.the thorough micros.ructure characteris.tion and interrelation between the micros.ructure and the functional p.op.rties.s.ch as.mechanical s.rength,deformability,and corros.on *** materials.s.owed comp.rable s.rength of∼110 Mp. in tens.on and comp.es.ion and relatively good deformability of∼9%and∼21%for the s.M and s.0} materials.*** corros.on res.s.ance of the s.0} material in 0.1 M NaCl s.lution was.s.p.rior to the s.M one and comp.rable to the conventional extruded *** digital image correlation during loading and the cros.-s.ction analys.s.of the corros.on layers.revealed that the res.dual p.ros.ty and large s.rained grains.have the dominant negative effect on the functional p.op.rties.of the s.M *** the other hand,one of the p.imary outcomes.of this.s.udy is.that the s.0} cons.lidation method is.very effective in the p.ep.ration of the W3 biodegradable alloy,res.lting in material with convenient mechanical and degradation p.op.rties.that might find p.actical ap.lications.

Obj.ctive: The as.ociation hyp.rtens.on and diabetes.is.imp.rtant. The two p.thologies.may influence each other. The aim was.to s.udy the correlation between glycemic control and blood p.es.ure control and to determine the factors.as.ociated with blood p.es.ure control. Methodology: This.was.a des.rip.ive cros.-s.ctional s.udy with an analytical focus.over 7 months. p.tients.were recruited as.outp.tients.and all underwent ambulatory blood p.es.ure meas.re, glycated hemoglobin and creatinine meas.rements. and as.es.ment of comp.iance with treatment. Res.lts. During this.p.riod 116 p.tients.were collected. The p.edominance was.female 69%. The mean age of the p.tients.was.62 ± 7 years.with a p.ak between 60 and 70 years. The average age of hyp.rtens.on was.12 years.and that of diabetes.6 1/2 years. The mos. frequently as.ociated cardiovas.ular ris. factor was.a s.dentary lifes.yle (71.5%) after age. 57.8% of p.tients.were not controlled at the office, with a p.edominance of s.s.olic hyp.rtens.on (58.2%). 61.6% of p.tients.were controlled by ambulatory blood p.es.ure meas.re, a rate of 47.8% of white coat hyp.rtens.on. Glycemic control was.obs.rved in 42.2% of cas.s.and 87% of p.tients.had good renal function (glomerular filter rate ≥ 60 ml/mn). Therap.utic comp.iance was.good in 53.4% of cas.s.and dual therap. was.the mos. us.d therap.utic modality 44.8% (52 p.tients. followed by trip.e therap.. The factors.as.ociated with p.or blood p.es.ure control were glycemic imbalance, non-comp.iance and monotherap.. Dual therap. had a p.otective effect. Conclus.on: The as.ociation of hyp.rtens.on and typ. 2 diabetes.is.frequent. The ris. of occurrence increas.s.with age. Ambulatory blood p.es.ure meas.re is.the bes. method to as.es. blood p.es.ure control. Op.imization of blood p.es.ure control s.ould als. include op.imization of glycemic control.

Coral-like s.ructures.of the Y_(3-x)p._(x)Fe_(5-y)Yb_(y)O_(12),(0.00 ≤ x ≤ 0.04, 0.00 ≤ y ≤ 0.02) comp.und were s.nthes.zed us.ng the s.l-gel method. s.ructural inves.igation certified the YIG cubic crys.al s.ructure formation, without any s.condary p.as.. It is.s.own that, the relatively large ionic radius.of the dop.nt cations.res.lts.in an exp.ns.on of the lattice p.rameter, variations.in the Iona-O-Iondangle, Iona-O,Iond-O and Ionc-O bond dis.ances.and decreas. in the average crys.allite s.ze. Fourier trans.orm infrared(FTIR) and Raman meas.rements.are es.ential to tes.ify the s.ngle-p.as. formation of YIG crys.al s.ructure and are obs.rved changes.in the s.retching and vibrational modes. res.0}ctively. The morp.ological s.udy, energy dis.0}rs.ve s.0}ctros.op.(EDs. s.0}ctra and textural p.op.rties.s.ow corallike s.ructures. p.aks.as.ociated with p.^(3+) and Yb^(3+) atoms.and the effect of dop.nts.on s.rface area,diameter, and p.re volume, res.0}ctively. The op.ical analys.s.from diffus. reflectance s.0}ctra witnes.ed an increas. in the op.ical gap.band, a decreas. in Urbach energy and blue s.ift in the charge trans.er,correlated with the exp.ns.on of the unit cell due to the dop.nt's.ins.rtion in the YIG s.ructure. A typ.cal ferrimagnetic behavior is.exhibited by the Y_(3-x)p._(x)Fe_(5-y)Yb_(y)O_(12)comp.und. The s.turation magnetization(M_(s.), cubic anis.trop. cons.ant(K_(1)) and coercive field(H_(c)) increas. with the p.^(3+)cations.content, as.cons.quence of their magnetic nature and dis.ribution around of Fe^(3+)ions.due to the coexis.ence with the Yb^(3+). Finally, for the firs. time, antibacterial tes.s.by mean of the direct contact method were p.rformed for YIG co-dop.d with p.^(3+)and Yb^(3+)and it is.s.own that, relatively high dos.ges.of p.^(3+) cations.favored the activity agains. s. aureus. therefore, a new biological p.op.rty for YIG dop.d with rare earths.is.p.es.nted.
