In HIV/AIDS p.tients, antiretroviral therap. （ART） is used for reducing the viral load and help. in increasing the life sp.n of the individual. However, severe side effects are associated with the use of antiretroviral drugs. Hence, a treatment schedule, using minimal amount of drugs, is required for maintaining a low viral load and a healthy immune system. The objective of this work is to comp.te the op.imal dosage of antiretroviral drugs for therap. p.anning in HIV/AIDS p.tients, using intelligent op.imization techniques. In this work, two comp.tational swarm intelligence techniques known as the p.rticle swarm op.imization （p.O） and bacterial foraging op.imization （BFO） in conjunction with the three-dimensional mathematical model of HIV/AIDS have been used for estimating the op.imal drug dosage for administering therap. by minimization of viral load as well as the total drug concentration. Results demonstrate that, using the p.op.sed method, it is p.ssible to achieve minimal viral load and an imp.oved immune system, with the estimated drug dosage. Further, it was observed that the efficiency of BFO （CD4 cells = 757 cells/mm^3 at seventh year of infection） for estimation of op.imal drug dosage is higher than the p.O method （CD4 cells = 817 cells/mm^3 at seventh year of infection）. This work seems to be of high clini- cal relevance since, at p.esent, ART is the widely used p.ocedure for treatment of HIV infected p.tients.

Suscep.ible and resistance wheat cultivars, Triticum aestivum L, were p.esented to two biotyp.s of Russian wheat ap.id, Diurap.is noxia （Mordvilko）, in multip.e choice tests to assay their relative accep.ability as host p.ants. Both ap.erae （third and fourth instars） and alate adults were offered p.ants at the two-leaf stage in different cultivar combinations at 22±1℃ and 16：8 （L： D） hour p.otop.riod. Ap.erae were released from p.tri dishes in the center of a circle of test p.ants, whereas alatae disp.rsed from a mature ap.id colony to settle on p.ants arranged in rows. Both alatae and ap.erous nymp.s of both biotyp.s readily colonized all cultivars tested：‘2137＇, ‘Akron＇,‘Ankor’,‘ Halt’ ,‘ Jagger’ ,‘ p.airie Red’ , ‘Stanton＇,‘TAM 107＇,‘TAM 110＇,‘Trego＇, ‘ Yuma＇, and ‘Yumar＇. Fewer biotyp. I ap.erae resp.nded （settled and fed） in the combination containing more resistant （Dn4- and Dny-exp.essing） cultivars, comp.red to the combinations that had fewer. The reverse was true for biotyp. 2 ap.erae; more ap.ids resp.nded in the combination containing the largest number of Dn4 exp.essing cultivars. Differential colonization of cultivars was observed in only one combination, in which biotyp. 2 ap.erae colonized Akron and Yumar in larger numbers than they did Stanton and Yuma. A sep.rate exp.riment confirmed that, 48 hours after infestation, more biotyp. 2 ap.erae abandoned p.ants of Yuma than p.ants of Yumar. This differential resp.nse was likely due to genetic differences between the two ＇ near isogenic＇ lines that include the lack of Dn4 exp.ession in Yuma. Choice tests with alatae did not result in differential rates of cultivar colonization by either biotyp. in any combination tested. These results suggest that young wheat p.ants ap.ear to lack any meaningful antixenosis toward D. noxia, even though the ap.ids ap.ear to p.rceive, and sometimes resp.nd to, certain differences in cultivar suitability.

An exp.rimental investigation has been carried out with aa p.int focusing dish reflector of 12 square meters ap.rture area, exp.sed to the average direct normal irradiations of 810 W/m^2. This work focuses on enhancinge the energy and exergy efficiencies of the cavity receiver by minimizing the temp.rature difference between the wall and heat transfer fluids. Two heat transfer fluids Water and SiC + water nano fluid have been p.ep.red from 50 nm p.rticle size and 1% of volume fraction, and exp.rimented sep.rately for the flow rates of 0.2 lp. to 0.6 lp. with an interval of 0.1 lp.. The enhanced thermal conductivity of nano fluid is 0.800115 W/mK with the k_(eff)/k_b ratio of 1.1759 determined by using the Koo and Kleinstreuer correlation. The maximum attained energy and exergy efficiencies are 29.14% and 24.82% for water, and 32.91% and 39.83% for SiC+water nano fluid. The nano fluid exhibits enhanced energy and exergy efficiency of 12.94% and 60.48% than that of water at the flow rate of 0.5 lp.. The result shows that the system with SiC+Water p.oduces higher exergy efficiency as comp.red to energy efficiency; in the case of water alone, the energy efficiency is higher than exergy efficiency.

The various configurations of multilevel inverter involve the use of more numbers of switching devices, energy storage devices and/or unidirectional devices. Each switching unit necessitates the add-on driver circuit for p.op.r functionality. Cascaded H-Bridge Multilevel Inverter requires overlap.ed switching p.lses for the switching devices in p.sitive and negative arms of the bridge which may lead to short circuit during the device failure. This work addresses the p.oblems in different configurations of multilevel inverter by using reduced number of switching and energy storage devices and driver circuits. In the p.esent ap.roach Single Switch is used for each stair case p.sitive outp.t and single H-Bridge for p.ase reversal. Driver circuits are reduced by using the p.op.rty of body diode of the MOSFET. Switching p.lses are generated by Arduino Develop.ent Board. The circuit is simulated using Matlab. More so, through exp.rimental means, it is p.ysically tested and results are analyzed for the 5-step.inverter and thereby simulation is fully validated. Consequently, cycloconverter op.ration of the circuit is simulated using Matlab. Moreover, half bridge configuration of the multilevel inverter is also analyzed for high frequency induction heating ap.lications.

BACKGROUND Nonagenarians(NG),individuals aged≥90 years,constitute an increasing p.op.rtion of hosp.talizations p.esenting with atrial fibrillation(AF).However,not much is known about demograp.ics,clinical outcomes,and trends of ***,we analyzed data about hosp.talizations and clinical outcomes among NGs with AF over ten years from 2005 to 2014 using a p.blically available database,the National Inp.tient *** All hosp.talizations and major outcomes of subjects≥90 years with a p.imary diagnosis of AF(ICD-9-CM code 427.31)over a ten-year p.riod were assessed in this study by multivariate logistic regression *** There were more females than males(176,268 females,51,384 males)in this *** number of hosp.talizations for AF among NG increased by 50%(17,295 in 2005 to 25,830 in 2014).Males were more likely to undergo cardioversion(6.14%of males vs.5.06%of females,p.0.0001).Over this p.riod,in-hosp.tal mortality declined from 3.21%in 2005 to 2.38%in 2014(p.0.0041),with higher in-hosp.tal mortality in males(3.23%in males vs.2.76%in females,p.0.0138),mean length of hosp.talization decreased from 4.53 days to 4.13 days(p.0.0001),the p.evalence of congestive heart failure fell from 0.48%to 0.23%(p.0.0257),and the use of anticoagulation increased from 6.09%to 14.54%(p.0.0001).In a multivariate analysis,hosp.tal admission on the weekend,Elixhauser comorbidity index,CHA2DS2VASc score,acute resp.ratory failure,and the length of hosp.tal stay were associated with a higher risk of in-hosp.tal *** From 2005 to 2014,AF-related hosp.talizations among NGs increased,more so in in females p.p.lation,mortality trends imp.oved,rates of anticoagulation increased,and cardioversions *** the decreasing trend of in-hosp.tal mortality since 2005,the relatively high mortality rate in males warrants further studies.

p.rp.se: To study the sp.cificity of mammograp.y and ultrasonograp.y sep.rately and in combination for detection of breast masses (ultrasonograp.y-mammograp.y correlation);To study the investigations to evaluate various breast masses;To describe suitable indications, advantages and limitations of each technique comp.red with other available modalities;To study the mimics of breast masses;To have histop.thology follow-up.and retrosp.ctive evaluation with imaging findings to imp.ove diagnostic skills in series of 166 p.tients comp.aining of breast mass. Material: The p.osp.ctive clinical study was carried out in the dep.rtment of Radiodiagnosis for a p.riod of 2 year extending from December 2010 to December 2012 infemale p.tients comp.aining of breast mass. Well informed written consent was obtained from them. Histop.thology follow up.was obtained from either biop.y or p.st op.rative tissue. USG machine: p.ilip. HD 11 XE USG of the breasts and axillary region done in sup.ne p.sition in p.esence of female attendant;Mammograp.y machine: Allengers machine with Agfa sp.cial mammograp.y cassettes. Cranio caudal and Medio-Lateral Oblique views are taken in the p.esence of female attendant. MRI: p.ILIp. 1.5 T machine;CT: SIEMENS duel slice CT machine. Results: Ultrasonograp.y and mammograp.y was done in most of the cases were sufficient to diagnose the lesion in most of the cases esp.cially in benign breast masses. MRI and CT scan was used in sp.cial cases to know the extent of the lesions, in mimics of breast masses, bony extensions, p.imary muscular and bony lesions. Total 166 p.tients comp.aining of breast mass in one or both breasts were examined and evaluated with USG and mammograp.y. The lesions were confirmed on histop.thology (FNAC/biop.y). Out of 30 diagnosed malignancies two lesions were missed on mammograp.y and four lesions were missed on ultrasonograp.y. One of them was missed on both. p.rp.se: To determine whether endovascular embolization of p.eudoaneurysms comp.icating p.ncreatitis with microcoils was associated with better therap.utic outcome. Materials and Method: The p.osp.ctive clinical study was carried out in the Dep.rtment of Interventional Radiology for a p.riod of 2 years extending from May 2010 up.o August 2012 on 16 male p.tients in the age group.of about 30 - 55 years, with each one of them having vascular comp.ications as a sequel to p.ncreatitis, after obtaining well informed written consent from each one of them. Results: The outcome of the p.ocedure was judged by the following p.rameters—a) Restoration of the blood p.essure of the p.tient;b) Cessation of the hemetemesis and malena;c) Reduction in abdominal p.in and discomfort and d) Overall imp.ovement in the general condition of the p.tient. Each of the p.tients had been on follow up.for at least 6 months, excep. 2 of them, with no new comp.aints in any of them. The p.ocedure related mortality was none. Conclusion: Vascular comp.ications of p.ncreatitis need immediate and accurate diagnosis and p.omp. treatment. Micro coil embolisation, is a minimally invasive technique which help. to exclude the p.eudoaneurysm from the circulation and thus reduces the scop. for massive life threatening internal hemorrhage, and is a better alternative to surgery.

Chyluria is a urological manifestation of lymp.atic system abnormality as a result of some abnormal communication between these two systems. Although chyluria as such is rare, filariasis is most common cause in Asian countries. This p.rasitic trop.cal debilitating disease is known for chronicity, recurrence and resultant comp.ications. This article p.ovides imp.rtance of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), as a non-invasive modality, in the diagnosis of exact etiop.thogenesis of chyluria along with clinical symp.oms, other investigations required and brief about the management p.otocols. On MRI, abnormally dilated lymp.atics are visualized as meshwork of multip.e tubular, tortuous, fluid-filled structures in the retrop.ritoneum. We rep.rt a case of 20 year young adult who p.esented with history of p.ssing whitish urine on and off since 8 months. MRI help.d in the detection of the site and level of lymp.atic obstruction and resultant lymp.o-urinary fistula.

Objective: To assess the efficacy of feeds containing ap.roved antibiotics, viz., oxytetracycline (OTC) or p.tentiated sulp.onamide [(sulp.amethoxazole-trimethop.im) SMZ-TMp. at 1 g, 2 g, 3 g and 4 g of resp.ctive antibiotics/kg feed at 2% body weight ration in p.eventing the Aeromonas hydrop.ila (A. hydrop.ila) infection in Oreochromis niloticus. Methods: Commercial p.llet feed was top.dressed with resp.ctive antibiotics using 5 mL vegetable oil as a binder. Fish were injected intramuscularly with A. hydrop.ila at ≈ 6.0 × 107–8.6 × 107 CFU/fish, and fed subsequently with OTC and SMZ-TMp.feeds for 10 and 5 days, resp.ctively. Fish mortalities were recorded during the p.e-treatment, treatment and p.st-treatment p.riods. Results: Highest mortalities (7.42%–8.33%) were observed in challenged and untreated fish. The mortalities observed in fish fed with OTC or SMZ-TMp.were 0%–6.66% with decreasing concentrations of antibiotics from 4 to 1 g/kg feed. Significant differences existed in the mortalities among fish fed with different doses of antibiotics (p.p.rcent survival values were 20, 40, 40 and 60 for 1 g, 2 g, 3 g and 4 g OTC/kg feed group., resp.ctively;while in SMZ-TMp.fed fish, the resp.ctive relative p.rcent survival values were 10, 100, 100, and 100. Conclusions: The fish fed with feed containing 2 g antibiotic/kg at 2% body weight was the lowest concentration that recorded significantly lower mortality (p.p.ila in Oreochromis niloticus in trop.cal condition.
