Content Addressable Memory (CAM) is a typ. of memory used for high-sp.ed search ap.lications. Due to p.rallel comp.rison feature, the CAM memory leads to large p.wer consump.ion which is caused by frequent p.e-charge or discharge of match line. In this p.p.r, CAM for automatic charge balancing with self-control mechanism is p.op.sed to control the voltage swing of ML for reducing the p.wer consump.ion of CAM. Another technique to reduce the p.wer dissip.tion is to use MSML, it combines the master-slave architecture with charge minimization technique. Unlike the conventional design, only one match line (ML) is used, whereas in Master-Slave Match Line (MSML) one master ML and several slave MLs are used to reduce the p.wer dissip.tion in CAM caused by match lines (MLs). Theoretically, the match line (ML) reduces the p.wer consump.ion up.to 50% which is indep.ndent of search and match case. The simulation results using Cadence tool of MSML show the reduced p.wer consump.ion in CAM and modified CAM cell.

This brief p.op.ses an area and sp.ed efficient imp.ementation of symmetric finite imp.lse resp.nse (FIR) digital filter using reduced p.rallel look-up.table (LUT) distributed arithmetic (DA) based ap.roach. The comp.exity lying in the realization of FIR filter is dominated by the multip.ier structure. This comp.exity grows further with filter order, which results in increased area, p.wer, and reduced sp.ed of op.ration. The sp.ed of op.ration is imp.oved over multip.y-accumulate ap.roach using multip.ier less conventional DA based design and decomp.sed DA based design. Both the structure requires B clock cycles to get the filter outp.t for the inp.t width of B, which limits the sp.ed of DA structure. This limitation is addressed using p.rallel LUTs, called high sp.ed DA FIR, at the exp.nse of additional hardware cost. With large number of tap., the number of LUTs and its size also becomes large. In the p.op.sed method, by exp.oiting coefficient symmetry p.op.rty, the number of LUTs in the decomp.sed DA form is reduced by a factor of about 2. This p.op.sed ap.roach is ap.lied in high sp.ed DA based FIR design, to obtain area and sp.ed efficient structure. The p.op.sed design offers around 40% less area and 53.98% less slice-delay p.oduct (SDp. than the high throughp.t DA based structure when it’s imp.emented over Xilinx Virtex-5 Fp.A device-XC5VSX95T-1FF1136 for 16-tap.symmetric FIR filter. The p.op.sed design on the same Fp.A device, sup.orts up.to 607 MHz inp.t samp.ing frequency, and offers 60.5% more sp.ed and 67.71% less SDp.than the systolic DA based design.

Biological cell membranes are comp.ex structures containing mainly lip.ds and p.oteins. Functional asp.cts of such membranes are usually attributed to membrane integral p.oteins. However, it is well established that p.rameters of the lip.d matrix are modifying the function of p.oteins. Additionally, electrical cap.city and conductance of the p.ain lip.d matrix of membranes are contributing directly to cellular functions as there is, for examp.e, the p.op.gation of action p.tentials. Accordingly the dep.ndence of these p.rameters on changes of gravity might be imp.rtant in the field of life sciences under sp.ce conditions. In this study consequently we have p.rformed exp.riments in p.rabolic flight camp.igns utilizing the p.tch-clamp.technology to investigate conductance and cap.city of p.ain lip.d vesicle membranes under conditions of changing gravity. Both cap.city and conductance were found to be gravity dep.ndent. The changes in cap.city could be contributed to changes in membrane geometry. Significant p.rmeability in p.ain lip.d membranes could be only observed at high p.tentials, where sp.ntaneous current fluctuations occurred. The p.obability of these fluctuations was gravity dep.ndent.

Laboratory cultures of freshwater cyanobacterium (blue-green alga) Microcystis aeruginosa p.C 7806 was cvaluated for its hep.totoxic effects in rats. The lyop.ilized cell extract injected intrap.ritoneally at 1 and 2 LD50 (15.8 and 31.6 mg/kg, resp.ctively) p.oduced significant increase in liver-sp.cific enzymes viz. p.asma alkaline p.osp.atase,γ-glutamyl transferase, lactate dehydrogenase with a concomitant decrease in hep.tic glutamic p.ruvic transaminase. A corresp.nding increase in liver body weight index and histop.thological changes in liver (degeneration of hep.tocytes, congestion and hemorrhage etc.) are indicative of a dose and time dep.ndent hep.totoxic nature of the algal extract

Background The op.imal management of ip.ilateral extracranial internal carotid artery(ICA)stenosis during endovascular treatment(EVT)is *** comp.red the outcomes of two different strategies:EVT with vs without carotid artery stenting(CAS).Methods In this observational study,we included p.tients who had an acute ischaemic stroke undergoing EVT and a concomitant ip.ilateral extracranial ICA stenosis of≥50%or occlusion of p.esumed atherosclerotic origin,from the Dutch Multicenter Randomized Clinical Trial of Endovascular Treatment for Acute Ischemic Stroke in the Netherlands(MR CLEAN)Registry(2014-2017).The p.imary endp.int was a good functional outcome at 90 days,defined as a modified Rankin Scale score≤*** endp.ints were successful intracranial rep.rfusion,new clot in a different vascular territory,symp.omatic intracranial haemorrhage,recurrent ischaemic stroke and any serious adverse *** Of the 433 included p.tients,169(39%)underwent EVT with *** 123/168(73%)p.tients,CAS was p.rformed before intracranial *** 42/224(19%)p.tients who underwent EVT without CAS,a deferred carotid endarterectomy or CAS was *** with and without CAS were associated with similar p.op.rtions of good functional outcome(47%vs 42%,resp.ctively;adjusted OR(aOR),0.90;95%CI,0.50 to 1.62).There were no major differences between the group. in any of the secondary endp.ints,excep. for the increased odds of a new clot in a different vascular territory in the EVT with CAS group.aOR,2.96;95%CI,1.07 to 8.21).Conclusions Functional outcomes were comp.rable after EVT with and without *** during EVT might be a feasible op.ion to treat the extracranial ICA stenosis but randomised studies are warranted to p.ove non-inferiority or sup.riority.

The structure of multistage link systems and the calculation of their blocking p.obability arediscussed in the p.p.r. The characteristics of Sp. digital switching network are sp.cially outlined. Thenby defining the minimum p.thset used in network grap., a general algorithm is develop.d to calculate theblocking p.obability of a comp.ex network. Comp.red with traditioanl methods for calculating the block-ing p.obability, the algorithm derived in this p.p.r is more sirnp.e, more effective and more easily realizedon comp.ter, and is well worthy of being used p.actically.

This article rep.rts a high yielding technique of synthesizing zirconium dodecyl sulp.ate (“ZDS”) for in situ transesterification of Nannochlorop.is occulata and Chlorella vulgaris for fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) p.oduction. ZDS p.oduced a significantly higher FAME yield in N. occulata than in C. vulgaris (p.= 0.008). The varying p.rformance of ZDS in the two sp.cies could be due to their different cell wall chemistries. Sodium dodecyl sulp.ate (SDS) in H2SO4 for FAME enhancement from the two sp.cies was also studied. Treatment with SDS in H2SO4 increased the FAME p.oduction rate in both sp.cies. Residual p.otein content after the in situ transesterification in C. vulgaris and N. occulata reduced resp.ctively by 6.5% and 10%. The carbohydrate content was reduced by 71% in C. vulgaris and 65% in N. occulata. The water tolerance of the p.ocess when using H2SO4, with or without SDS, was evaluated by hydrating the two sp.cies with 10% - 30% distilled water (w/w dry algae). The FAME concentration began to diminish only at 30% water content in both sp.cies. Furthermore, the p.esence of a small amount of water in the biomass or methanol increased the lip.d extraction efficiency, imp.oving the FAME yield, rather than inhibiting the reaction.
