In mathematics, sp.ce encomp.sses various structured.sets such as Euclid.an, metric, or vector sp.ce. This article introd.ces temp.ral sp.ce—a novel concep. ind.p.nd.nt of trad.tional sp.tial d.mensions and.frames of reference, accommod.ting multip.e object-oriented.d.rations in a d.namical system. The novelty of build.ng temp.ral sp.ce using finite geometry is rooted.in recent ad.ancements in the theory of relationalism which utilizes Euclid.an geometry, set theory, d.mensional analysis, and.a causal signal system. Multip.e ind.p.nd.nt and.co-existing cyclic d.rations are measurable as a network of finite one-d.mensional timelines. The work aligns with Leibniz’s comments on relational measures of d.ration with the ad.ition of using d.screte cyclic relational events that d.fine these finite temp.ral sp.ces, ap.licable to quantum and.classical p.ysics. Ancient formulas have symmetry along with d.visional and.subd.visional ord.rs of op.rations that create d.screte and.ord.red.temp.ral geometric elements. Elements have cyclically conserved.symmetry but unique cyclic d.mensional quantities ap.licable for anchoring temp.ral equivalence relations in linear time. The assessment of the local community p.rcep.ion of the value of rip.rian corrid.rs is relevant to und.rstand.their attitud. toward. the conservation of such ecosystem. We cond.cted.a semi-structured.survey on the p.rcep.ion and.imp.rtance attributed.to the ecosystem services (ESs) p.ovid.d.by rip.rian corrid.rs in 368 household. across 70 villages located.in a buffer zone of 5 km of servitud. around.the p.rmanent rivers of the Up.er Oueme watershed.in Benin. We found.that local communities easily rep.rted.p.ovisioning and.cultural ESs than regulating and.sup.orting ones, ind.cating their misund.rstand.ng of the main role of rip.rian corrid.r. Moreover, the sup.ly of crop.ing areas was p.rceived.as the most imp.rtant ES. Ed.cated.resp.nd.nts and.high-income household. had.more knowled.e of regulating ESs and.sup.orting ESs, resp.ctively. Overall, the highly p.rceived.imp.rtance of the p.ovision of crop.ing areas ind.cates a p.tential risk of agricultural encroachment of rip.rian corrid.rs. We suggest the consid.ration of the current local p.rcep.ion of rip.rian corrid.r’s role in d.signing a sound.environmental ed.cation aiming at the change of local p.p.lation’s p.rcep.ion. This p.rcep.ion shift will p.omote a sustainable management of the rip.rian corrid.rs.

Based.on 2022 and.2023 hyd.ometric d.ta and.satellite images (Sentinel 2022, Sp.T 2010), this stud. aims to p.esent the Nokoué Lake and.its channels’ re-cent hyd.omorp.ological characteristics. Integrating flow, tributary morp.ology, and.top.grap.y d.ta d.termined.sp.cific p.wer values along the axes stud.ed. The values obtained.range from 2.69 to 12.92 W/m2 for Ouémé River and.2.46 to 10.99 W/m2 for Sô River. The resulting water erosion on banks and.bottoms is of linear, areolar, or gully and.claw typ.s. Lake bathymetry varies from -0.5 to -2.6 m (low flow p.riod. and.-1 to -4 m;in the Ouémé, Sô, and.Totchè rivers, it varies from -5 m to -7 m, reaching -10 m at the Cotonou channel entrance (flood.p.riod.. Bathymetric p.ofiles reveal varied.“U”, “V” and.“Intermed.ate” bottom morp.ologies, influenced.by erosion/sed.mentation p.ocesses and.human activities. The flow facies id.ntified.are lentic in the northern tributaries and.lotic in the Cotonou and.Totchè canals. Sp.tial analysis id.ntified.nine (09) thematic classes. In 2022, the surface area of the water bod. has increased.from 274 km2 at low water to 280 km2 at high water, whereas in 2010 (a recent year of excep.ional flood.ng), the surface area was 270 km2 at low water and.277 km2 at high water. Significant changes in land.use are observed.between 2010 and.2022. The flood.0}ain area d.creased.slightly, from 421 km2 in 2010 (year of excep.ional flood.ng) to 419 km2 in 2022. The evolution of land.use shows a p.ogressive exp.nsion of the urban environment to the d.triment of the natural environment. In the med.um to long term, this trend.could.threaten the hyd.omorp.ological balance and.even the existence of this imp.rtant lagoon ecosystem.

Throughout the world. climate change is threatening the human p.p.lation. In West Africa, smallhold.r farmers in ind.genous agricultural societies typ.cally hold.consid.rable knowled.e. Therefore, this stud. was cond.cted.in West Atacora of Benin Rep.blic to assess the d.ivers of farmers’ p.rcep.ions of climate change risk. We used.a rand.m samp.ing technique to select 360 household.’ head. who were interviewed.regard.ng d.fferent climate change risks p.rcep.ion. Binomial logistic regression was used.to assess the d.ivers of farmers’ p.rcep.ions of climate change risks. The results showed.that the farmers in d.ier areas had.a higher p.rcep.ion of the global risk of climate change than those in humid.areas. The same trend.was observed.for the seven d.fferent ind.vid.al’s climate change risk investigated. The stud. id.ntified.also membership.of farm organizations as main sociod.mograp.ic characteristic that exp.ains farmers’ p.rcep.ion of climate change risk p.rcep.ion. These find.ngs are help.ul tools to sensitize the local p.op.e on climate change risk and.cop. with the risk in agricultural land..

Introd.ction: Human immunod.ficiency virus (HIV) is a major p.blic health p.oblem with high morbid.ty and.mortality among child.en. The objective of this work was to aud.t the d.aths of child.en and.ad.lescents with HIV infection followed.up.in the p.d.atric d.p.rtment of the Regional Teaching Hosp.tal of Borgou/Alibori (CHUd./A) the from 2005 to 2020. p.tients and.Method. This was a retrosp.ctive and.d.scrip.ive stud. cond.cted.in the p.d.atric d.p.rtment of CHUd.B-A in p.rakou. All child.en with HIV infection who d.ed.from January 1, 2005 to August 31, 2020 were includ.d. d.ta collection was carried.out in three stages: a p.ase of med.cal record. p.ocessing, a p.ase of community survey and.a p.ase of d.ath aud.ts. The variables stud.ed.were sociod.mograp.ic, clinical, biological, therap.utic and.evolutionary. Results: Over the stud. p.riod. the d.ta of 464 infected.child.en were record.d. includ.ng 92 d.aths, rep.esenting a case fatality rate of 19.83%. Severe acute malnutrition (69.23%), gastro-intestinal tract infections (43.58%) and.serious op.ortunistic p.lmonary infections (24.36% p.lmonary tuberculosis and.19.23% p.eumocystis) were the main causes of d.ath. The main d.sfunctions found.were: the d.layed.d.agnosis of HIV infection (79.35%), the absence or d.lay in consultation when the child.s clinical cond.tion d.teriorates (32.61% and.47.83%), d.layed.initiation of antiretroviral treatment (42.39%) and.non-ad.erence to treatment (38.04%). Non-ad.erence to treatment was p.ed.minant in ad.lescents (90.49%). Conclusion: Sp.cific interventions for early d.tection, ad.quate nutritional care, p.ychosocial sup.ort for ad.lescents and.mothers of child.en are necessary to red.ce mortality d.e to HIV among child.en and.ad.lescents.
