Several kinds of researches have been conducted on peristaltic flow of non-Newtonian fluid in modelled oesophagus,stomach and ***,further investigation is still needed es-pecially in the area of mechanical shear stress,the influence of inlet temperature and velocity,Nutsselt number and the history of strain rates experienced by fluid *** study presents the numerical investigation of thermo-physical properties of non-Newtonian fluid in a modelled *** properties investigated were fluid temperature,velocity,Nutsselt number and wall shear *** simulation was performed by solving 3D Navier-Stokes and continuity *** intestinal model was drawn by using Autodesk Inventor 2017 while the numerical investigation was conducted by using ANSYS FLUENT *** Computational Fluid Dynamics solver employs the Finite Element Method(FEM)to discretize the governing ***,Hibiscus Sabdariffa Roselle(Sobo),Soymilk(Soya)and pap(ogi)were the working fluids used for the *** of the results showed that the variation of fluid temperature and heat transfer with axial position across the length of intestinal model were not significantly influenced by the variation of the inlet *** of the model about the pulsating part enhanced heat transfer and nutrient delivery to the intestinal *** of the inlet velocity did not affect the average Nutsselt *** and Sobo had the highest and lowest Nutsselt number,*** displayed the best fluid properties considering flow behaviour while Soya dis-played the best properties for thermal *** results presented in this study are of countless importance in medical,paramedical,engineering applications,thermoregulation system,ther-motherapy,and biomedical disciplines,where analyses and investigation of gastrointestinal tract history can be understudied.

Biogas production was investigated in this study as an alternative to wood as fuel using slurries of cow dung(T1),jatropha fruit exocarp(T2),cattle dung and jatropha fruit exocarp(T3)and cow dung,jatropha fruit exocarp with 10 g of iron filings(T4).The 1000 mL of slurry which included 50 mL of inoculum that compensated for the dead or weak micro-organism was made for each *** the end of five weeks,the volume of biogas collected from the samples T1,T2,T3,and T4 when added up,gave 77,154,145 and 586 mL,*** sample mixture of cow dung,jatropha fruit exocarp,and iron filings(T4),gave the highest yield of biogas production with an average weekly production of 59 mL/kg for four weeks and on the fifth week about six times emission of biogas was *** production rate of the biogas was rapid after the gestation period and the T4 emerged as the most substantial emission of all the samples producing 350 mL/kg on the fifth week.

Introduction: on the 5p>thp> of June 2022, an incident of a mass attack following multiple gunshots and explosions occurred in a community in ondo State Nigeria. This study aims to assess the mental health status of victims of the mass attack to guide further interventions among them. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among victims of a mass attack in owo community, ondo State. A total of 209 affected victims were interviewed on socio-demographic characteristics, symptoms of anxiety (AD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (pTSD), threat experienced, and mental health support received. A 7-item Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7) and 9-item post Traumatic Stress Disorder (pTSD) scale were used to assess the mental health status of the victims. A point was assigned to respondents who reported the symptoms of GAD, with a maximum score of 7 attained. For GAD, scores were categorized as follows: 1 - 2 as mild, 2 - 3 as minimal, 4 - 5 as moderate and 6 - 7 as severe. The pTSD symptoms were rated using a 5-point Likert scale response, and assigned the following points;4 = extremely, 3 = quite a bit, 2 = moderate, 1 = a little bit and 0 = not at all. From a maximum score of 36, participants with scores 18 and above were categorized as those with provisional pTSD. The independent samples t-test and correlational analysis were used to determine the association between pTSD score and other independent variables, with an alpha level of significance set at 0.05. Results: Generally, 38 (18.2%) of the respondents had severe AD. About half (89;42.6%) were categorized as those with provisional pTSD. The mean level of both AD (3.40 ± 2.26) and pTSD (16.51 ± 7.63) score is higher among those who were married compared to those not married (anxiety disorder;2.52 ± 2.20, p = 0.005 and pTSD;13.20 ± 8.86, p = 0.004). Analysis of inhibition of concrete steel-rebar corrosion by Na_2Cr_2o_7 concentrations:Implications for conflicting reports on inhibitor effectiveness

Corrosion test data were measured using non-destructive electrochemical techniques and analysed for studying inhibition effectiveness by different concentrations of NazCr207 on the corrosion of concrete steel-rehar in NaC1 and in H2So4 media. For these, specifications of ASTM G16-95 R04 were combined with the normal and the Gumbel probability density functions as model analytical methods for addressing issues of conflicting reports of inhibitor effectiveness that had generated concerns. Results show that reinforced concrete samples admixed with concentrations having 4 g （0.012 7 tool）, 8 g （0.025 4 mol） and 6 g （0.019 l tool） NaaCr207 exhibited, in that order, high inhibition effectiveness, with respective efficiency, r/, of （90.46±1.30）%, （88.41＋2.24）% and （84.87±4.74）%, in the NaC1 medium. These exhibit good agreements within replicates and statistical methods for the samples. Also, optimal inhibition effectiveness model in the H2So4 medium was exhibited by 8 g （0.025 4 mol） Na2Cr207 concentration having r/=（78.44±1.10）%. These bear implications for addressing conflicting test data in the study of effective inhibitors for mitigating steel-rebar corrosion in aggressive environments.

Water-based polymer films can be readily deposited onto a wide range of metallic materials as an environmentally friendly coating through the demulsification-induced fast solidification(DIFS)***,there is still a lack of in-depth understanding of the demulsification process of the water-based emulsions and their deposition ***,we demonstrate that the build-up process of the commercial water-based micron-scale waterborne polyurethane,polyvinyl acetate,polyurethane acrylate,and natural rubber polymer films is affected by the collective effect of electric field and ion diffusion exerted by anode-cathode electrode pairs,applied voltage,conduction time,electrode distance,and emulsion species.A structural investigation of as-prepared polymer films allows us to propose two new structure build-up *** a flat film deposition,isolated islands are formed first and grow on the substrate surface,and eventually,their mutual coalescence forms the final ***,for a convex layer formation,the layer is first formed in the middle of the substrate and then grows toward the sides of the convex structure of the *** results presented in this work expand the understanding of the mechanism of the DIFS process and may provide some new insights into structure-oriented multifunctional material design.

The Impact of Foreign Direct Investment on Economic Growth: Nigeria Experience

This study investigated the impact of foreign direct investment on economic growth in Nigeria. Secondary source of data was employed in this study from 1986 to 2017 which were sourced from Central Bank of Nigeria Statistical Bulletin (2017) published in 2018 and World Development Indicator published in 2019. Descriptive and regression analyses were used as the estimation techniques. The findings of the study revealed that the coefficient value of LFDI is 0.633506 and its p-value is 0.0002 implying that a unit increase in LFDI will increase LGDp with the value of 0.633506. The coefficient value of RINTR is 0.004127 with p-value of 0.310 indicating that a unit increase in real interest rate will increase gross domestic product, but it is not significant. Also, LDI coefficient value is 1.758036 with p-value of 0.0688 implying that a unit increase in domestic investment will increase gross domestic product positively with the value of 1.758036 which is significant at 10% but not significant at 5% alpha level. The coefficient value of exchange rate is 0.835206 with the p-value of 0.0000 signifying that exchange rate is positive and significant to economic growth. It was concluded that foreign direct investment was positive and significant to economic growth of Nigeria while the domestic investment was also positive but not significant at 5% alpha level.

Factors Undermining the Investigation of Child Contacts of TB patients： The Case of FCT, Abuja, Nigeria

Facility records of 320 TB （tuberculosis） patients were examined over a one-year-period; January-December 2009 to ascertain the screening of children under 6 years of age who have had contacts with sputum smear positive TB patients as stipulated in the NTBLCp （National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control program） guidelines. In addition, semi-structured questionnaires were administered to 28 DoTS （directly-observed treatment strategy） clinicians to elicit information to help explain findings from the analysis of the routine data. over 60% of children less than 6 years of age who had contacts with TB patients were not investigated in the health facilities included in the survey. The level of educational attainment of DoTS providers was associated with the screening of TB patients＇ contacts （p = 0.008）. Forgetfulness by clinicians to ask for or screen children of TB patients in the facilities is the singular most important factor undermining contact investigation. The proportion of under 6 years TB contacts screened or not screened for TB in the facilities was similar according to the age and gender of TB patients, and the type of health facilities where treatment was accessed by patients （p = 0.325）. The study underscored the need for the state program to evaluate the quality of service provision as well as counseling provided to TB patients at the facilities.

Introduction: Finding the missing Tuberculosis (TB) cases remains the single most important priority for TB control in Nigeria. Between 66% - 92% of all cases of respiratory diseases including those with symptoms suggestive of TB are first seen byprivate health providers. Dependable, quality surveillance systems and notification are key roles in health services delivery, particularly as it is related to TB control. However, poor notification has been a challenge. This study was to assess the contribution of the public private mix (ppM) to Nigeria Tuberculosis national case notification. Methods: It was a national cross-sectional study. Data were extracted from the National database and reviewed. private facilities were engaged in 2017 and assessed over 2018-2020. Interventions included: enrolling private practitioners (private-For-profit, Faith Based organization, private Medicine Vendors and Community pharmacists), engaging a private standalone Laboratory for Gene Xpert testing within the network of private facilities, use of Mobile App for easy screening and reporting, instituting a HUB and spoke, and incentives to private providers for participating. Each private provider had a customized approach. Trend analysis was performed using Cochran-Armitage χp>2p> test for linear trends. Level of significance was at a p value of Results: Total case notification increased from 104,904 cases in 2017 to 138,591 in 2020. There were 2.0% increase in 2018, 13.0% in 2019 and 15.0% in 2020 (p ppM contribution to case notification increased from 10,699 cases in 2017 to 12,625 in 2018, then 17,250 in 2019 and 38,865 in 2020. There were 18.0% increase in 2018, 36.6% in 2019 and 125.3% increase in 2020 (p ). Conclusion: Effective engagement of the private sector in TB control efforts in Nigeria using a variety of approaches resulting in improved TB notification is possible.
