One of the challenges of remote sensing and computer vision lies in the three-dimensional(3-D)reconstruction of individual trees by using automated methods through very high-resolution(VHR)data ***,a successful and complete 3-D reconstruction relies on precise delineation of the trees in two *** this paper,we present an original approach to detect and delineate citrus trees using unmanned aerial vehicles based on photogrammetric digital surface models(DSMs).The symmetry of the citrus trees in a DSM is handled by an orientationbased radial symmetry transform which is computed in a unique ***,we propose an efficient strategy to accurately build influence regions of each tree,and then we delineate individual citrus trees through active contours by taking into account the influence region of each *** also present two efficient strategies to filter out erroneously detected canopy regions without having any height *** are carried out on eight test DSMs composed of different types of citrus orchards with varying densities and canopy *** comparisons to the state-of-the-art approaches reveal that our proposed approach provides superior detection and delineation performances through supporting a nice balance between precision and recall measures.

This study focuses on the field reconnaissance efforts for investigating ground deformation behavior and building foundation performance in *** structures experienced significant damage or collapsed due to strong ground shaking in the coastal Iskenderun district of Hatay during the 2023 Kahramanmaras earthquake *** buildings were also impacted by ground failure due to liquefaction of deposits in the *** information regarding the general subsurface profile and post-earthquake data collected during the reconnaissance was used to perform simplified liquefaction and lateral spreading *** empirical methods provide first order estimations of settlements and lateral spreading but are not sufficient when the nature of the structure-soil-structure interaction and earthquake sequence is *** of vertical displacements and building tilt,liquefaction manifestations,and structural and foundation parameters potentially affecting foundation settlements including foundation geometry,building contact pressure,and building elastic period were used to evaluate seismic response of the ground and the structures through empirical *** of the buildings exhibited poor to mediocre foundation performance due to liquefaction-prone subsurface profiles,especially on the *** field and numerical research will reveal the cause of significant ground failure in the area as well as refined estimates for the seismic deformations.

·AIM:To characterize the phenylephrine test in aponeurotic and congenital eyelid ptosis,to determine the appropriate timing of the phenylephrine test,and to assess the responses of the upper and lower eyelids.·METHODS:This was a retrospective analysis of 140 eyes of 87 patients(mean age 52.29±16.45 y;22 males,65 females)with upper eyelid *** 88.6%had aponeurotic and 11.4%had congenital *** the evaluation of the responses of the upper and lower eyelids to topical 2.5%phenylephrine,the scleral show height,the marginal reflex distance(MRD)between the inferior margin of the upper eyelid and pupillary light reflex(MRD1),and between the central portion of the lower eyelid and pupillary light reflex(MRD2)were measured at the 2^(nd),5^(th),and15^(th)*** changes of MRD1 and MRD2 with time(ΔMRD1 andΔMRD2)were evaluated.·RESULTS:The mean MRD1,*** scleral show heights increased within 5 min after testing,remaining largely stable between the 5^(th)-15^(th)*** percentage of eyes with a greater response in MRD1 increased with increased severity of ptosis(P<0.05).Eyes with aponeurotic ptosis were more responsive to phenylephrine testing than congenital *** mild ptosis group had lower scleral show measurements and higherΔMRD2 ***ΔMRD1 andΔMRD2 values were poorly correlated in all measurement times.·CONCLUSION:Performing the phenylephrine test 5 min after instilling the reagent is adequate to assess the maximum response of the upper and lower *** upper and lower eyelid responses in phenylephrine testing are poorly ***,theΔMRD2 is related with baseline scleral show degree that may be a postoperative predictive *** studies are necessary to determine the relationship between the responses of the lower eyelids to phenylephrine testing.

本文利用远震P和SH波反演得到2008年5月12日汶川大地震(MW=7.9)的一系列有限破裂模型。使用一种基于小波变换的模拟退火非线性反演方法,我们将主断层划分成若干个子断层,在反演时同时确定每个子断层上的滑移量、滑动角、上升时间(risetime)以及平均破裂速度。我们首先根据一个假定的破裂模型生成理论地震图,将该理论地震数据作为输入进行反演,对该有限破裂反演方法进行了一系列测试,以验证反演对断层倾角、平均破裂速度、最大破裂深度等参数的敏感性。然后我们采用4个不同倾角的断层面来对汶川地震远震体波记录进行反演。结果表明,若对只在一个断层面上模拟该地震,30°倾角是个较为合适的值。反演的结果还表明,此次地震有两个主要的能量释放区域,并且主断层面存在倾角变化的可能性。在将来的研究中,可以结合GPS,InSAR测地学以及强震等数据,来对强震的破裂过程做更细致的研究。

Multifocal Malignant Lymphoma of the Breast

Anaerobic Ammonium Oxidation（Anammox） is an alternative process to conventional nitrification-denitrification bacteria, which oxidize ammonium with nitrite as electron acceptor via Anammox bacteria. These chemoautotrophic bacteria have very slow generation time（10-30 days）. Anammox bacteria may not isolate from pure culture, because of their low growth rate（0.0027 h-1）. Therefore, using molecular techniques for the bacteria identification have more advantages than traditional microbial techniques, which are preferred as cultivation especially for detection and diversity of Anammox bacteria. Molecular techniques include PCR-based methods（fingerprinting techniques）, like SSCP, DGGE and T-RFLP, are available in order to show the variety of genetic profiling. PCR amplification of DNA template with specific biomarker（16S rRNA gene） in environmental sample is necessary to detect any unknown microorganisms. The other important molecular technique is FISH-based method for identification and quantification with fluorescent signal probes of Anammox bacteria. In this article is purposed, comparison of molecular methods commonly used for microbial diversity, and also it is emphasized strengths or weakness of the methods.

Primary non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas is an uncommon disease representing approximately 0.13% of all reported malignant mammary neoplasms. Clinically they are mainly observed as solitary lesions, but may also be seen as multiple foci. Herein, we present a very rare case with the diagnosis of multifocal malignant lymphoma of the breast. Case: A 56-year-old-female patient with a right palpable breast mass admitted to the hospital. Mammography and ultrasonography findings showed two different foci of hypoechoic solid mass forming lesion in the right breast. Excisional biopsy has been performed. In the histopathological evaluation, both lesions demonstrated foci of necrosis;mitotically active tumor cells with large nucleus and prominent nucleoli. The immunohistochemical analysis revealed diffuse LCA, CD20, CD43, focal CD68 positivity while pancytokeratin, EMA, CD34, SMA were negative. The case was diagnosed as Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma. We report a very rare case with a diagnosis of multifocal primary non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma of the breast.

Aims: We sought to evaluate the utility of contrast-enhanced coronary magnetic resonance imaging(CE-MRI) for selective visualization and non-invasive differentiation of atherosclerotic coronary plaque in humans. Methods and results: Nine patients with coronary artery disease(CAD) as confirmed by X-ray angiography and multidetector computed tomography(MDCT)were studied by T1-weighted black blood inversion recovery coronary MRI before(N-IR) and after administration of Gd-DTPA(CE-IR). Plaques were categorized as calcified, non-calcified, and mixed based on their Hounsfield number derived from MDCT. With MDCT, a total of 29 plaques were identified, including calcified(n=6), non-calcified(n=6), and mixed calcified/non-calcified(n=17). On N-IR MRI, 26 plaques(90%) were dark, whereas three plaques(two non-calcified and one mixed) appeared bright. On CE-MRI, 13/29(45%) plaques, 11 of which were mixed, one non-calcified, and one calcified showed contrast uptake. All others remained dark. Conclusion: In this preliminary study, we demonstrate the potential utility of CE-IR MRI for selective plaque visualization and differentiation of plaque types. The observed contrast uptake may be associated with endothelial dysfunction, neovascularization, inflammation, and/or fibrosis.
