BACKGROuNd Smartwatches have become readily accessible tools for detecting atrial fibrillation(AF).There remains limited data on how they affect psychosocial outcomes and engagement in older *** examine the health behavior outcomes of stroke survivors prescribed smartwatches for AF detection stratified by *** We analyzed data from the Pulsewatch study,a randomized controlled trial that enrolled patients(≥50 years)with a history of stroke or transient ischemic attack and CHA2dS2-VASc≥*** participants were equipped with a cardiac patch monitor and a smartwatch-app dyad,while control participants wore the cardiac patch monitor for up to 44 *** evaluated health behavior parameters using standardized tools,including the Consumer Health Activation Index,the Generalized Anxiety disorder questionnaire,the 12-Item Short Form Health Survey,and wear time of participants categorized into three age groups:Group 1(ages 50-60),Group 2(ages 61-69),and Group 3(ages 70-87).We performed statistical analysis using a mixedeffects repeated measures linear regression model to examine differences amongst age *** Comparative analysis between Groups 1,2 and 3 revealed no significant differences in anxiety,patient activation,perception of physical health and wear *** use of smartwatch technology was associated with a decrease in perception of mental health for Group 2 compared to Group 1(β=-3.29,P=0.046).CONCLuSION Stroke survivors demonstrated a willingness to use smartwatches for AF ***,among these study participants,the majority did not experience negative health behavior outcomes or decreased engagement as age increased.

The joint European Space Agency and Chinese Academy of Sciences Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer(SMILE)mission will explore global dynamics of the magnetosphere under varying solar wind and interplanetary magnetic field conditions,and simultaneously monitor the auroral response of the Northern Hemisphere *** these large-scale responses with medium and fine-scale measurements at a variety of cadences by additional ground-based and space-based instruments will enable a much greater scientific impact beyond the original goals of the SMILE ***,we describe current community efforts to prepare for SMILE,and the benefits and context various experiments that have explicitly expressed support for SMILE can offer.A dedicated group of international scientists representing many different experiment types and geographical locations,the Ground-based and Additional Science Working Group,is facilitating these *** include constructing an online SMILE data Fusion Facility,the discussion of particular or special modes for experiments such as coherent and incoherent scatter radar,and the consideration of particular observing strategies and spacecraft *** anticipate growing interest and community engagement with the SMILE mission,and we welcome novel ideas and insights from the solar-terrestrial community.

Multiple magnetic transitions and magnetocaloric effect of Tb_(4)Coln alloy

We report on the magnetic,magnetocaloric,thermal,and electrical transport properties of Tb_(4)Coln alloy,which crystallizes in two phases,Tb_6Co_(2.1)In_(0.8)(space group Immm)and Tb_(2)In_(0.9)Co_(0.1)(space group P6_(3)/mmc),*** alloy reveals three successive magnetic transitions around T_(1)(163 K),T_(2)(50 K),and T_(3)(29 K),respectively,associated with paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition and two sequential antiferromagnetic *** low-temperature transition T_(3) follows the first-order magnetic behavior and exhibits the field-induced magnetic ***,T_(2) and T_(1) are found to be second-order in nature which opens a possibility for hysteresis-free magnetocaloric *** magnetocaloric properties are determined using different magnetocaloric figures of merits such as-ΔS_(M),ΔT_(ad).RCP,and TEC(10).Additionally,the universal curve behavior in the isothermal entropy change unveils the variation in critical exponents around T_(1) and T_(2) due to the magnetic inhomogeneity in the ***,the electrical transport properties of the metallic alloy denote the maximum magnetoresistance of-10%around T_(1).

Time-Series Embeddings from Language Models:A Tool for Wind direction Nowcasting

Wind direction nowcasting is crucial in various sectors,particularly for ensuring aviation operations and *** this context,the TELMo(Time-series Embeddings from Language Models)model,a sophisticated deep learning architecture,has been introduced in this work for enhanced wind-direction *** by using three years of data from multiple stations in the complex terrain of an international airport,TELMo incorporates the horizontal u(east-west)and v(north-south)wind components to significantly reduce forecasting *** a day with high wind direction variability,TELMo achieved mean absolute error values of 5.66 for 2-min,10.59 for 10-min,and 14.79 for 20-min forecasts,processed within a swift 9-ms/step *** degree-based analysis,in comparison,yielded lower performance,emphasizing the effectiveness of the u and v *** contrast,a Vanilla neural network,representing a shallow-learning approach,underperformed in all analyses,highlighting the superiority of deep learning methodologies in wind direction *** is an efficient model,capable of accurately forecasting wind direction for air traffic operations,with an error less than 20°in 97.49%of the predictions,aligning with recommended international *** model design enables its applicability across various geographical locations,making it a versatile tool in global aviation meteorology.

This manuscript examines the recently developed conformable three-dimensional Wazwaz-Benjamin-Bona-Mahony(3d-WBBM)equation’s dynamical behavior in terms of its spatial and temporal *** governing equation is stretch for the Korteweg-de-Vries equation that represents the unidirectional propagation of small amplitude long waves on the surface of hydro magnetic and acoustic waves in a channel,especially for shallow *** wave solutions of various types,such as kink and shock,as well as singleton,combined solitons,and complex solitons,are all ***,solutions to hyperbolic,exponential,and trigonometric functions are obtained through the use of recently developed methods,namely the Kudryashov method(KM),the modified Kudryashov method(MKM),and the new extended direct algebraic method(NEdAM).The study conducts a comparison of our findings to well-known findings,and concludes that the solutions reached here are ***,the earned results are sketched in different shapes to demonstrate their dynamics as a function of parameter *** can assert from the obtained results that the applied techniques are simple,vibrant,and quite well,and will be helpful tool for addressing more highly nonlinear issues in various of fields,especially in ocean and coastal ***,our findings are first step toward understanding the structure and physical behavior of complicated *** anticipate that our results will be highly valuable in bet-ter understanding the waves that occur in the *** feel that this work is timely and will be of interest to a wide spectrum of experts working on ocean engineering models.

目的:评价网格数量简化后对单冠修复体体积及外形正确度的影响。方法:选取15个单冠修复体,导入3d分析软件,简化网格数量至75%、 50%、 25%、 10%、 5%,分别计算并比较不同比例简化后修复体的体积,文件大小和特定区域的网格边长;用曲线裁剪修复体肩台、组织面(除肩台)以及咬合面区域与未简化修复体的相应部位进行偏差分析,通过均方根误差(RMS)值对不同区域的外形正确度进行评价。结果:网格数量简化后对单冠修复体体积未见显著影响(P>0.05),对文件大小(P<0.001),网格边长(P<0.001)和修复体肩台(P<0.001)、组织面(除肩台)(P<0.001)以及咬合面(P<0.001)各个区域的外形正确度有显著影响。结论:简化网格数量对修复体的总体体积影响不大,但会显著影响其外形的正确度。

Temperature uniformity,Correlations and the Flow Field in Swirling Impinging Jets

Infrared thermography,velocity and impingement pressure measurements alongside numerical modelling are used in this study to resolve(heated)surface temperature distributions of turbulent swirling impinging jets for two Reynolds numbers(Re=11600 and 24600).Whilst building upon earlier discoveries for this same geometry,this paper provides three new contributions:(1)identifying the role of impingement distance(H/d)as a deciding factor in the trade-off between more efficient heat transfer(at high swirl numbers)and achieving better substrate temperature uniformity(lower gradients),(2)developing correlations to predict Nusselt number for swirling and non-swirling cooling jets,and(3)predicting the underlying mixing field in these jets and its interplay with the thermal distributions *** indicate substrate temperature uniformity varies based on H/d and swirl intensity(S)with a significant level of thermal non-uniformity occurring in near-field impingement(H/d=1)at stronger swirl(S=0.59 and 0.74).Four correlations describing the effects of S,Re,and H on the average heat transfer and stagnation heat transfer are developed and yield accuracies of 8%and 12%,*** recirculation near the impingement surface is predicted at H/d=1 for stronger swirl jets which disappears at other substrate *** peak wall shear stress reduces and the flow impingement becomes radially wider at higher H/d and *** turbulence or eddy viscosity regions for non-swirling jets(S=0)are predicted in the shear layer and entrainment regions at H/d=1,but such turbulence is confined to the impingement and wall jet regions for strongly swirling flows.

Evaluation of the diagnostic performance of a commercial molecular assay for the screening of suspected monkeypox cases in Sri Lanka

Background:The main objective of the present study was to compare the diagnostic performance of the commercial LightMix Modular Monkeypox Virus(MPXV)qPCR(TIB Molbiol,Germany)assay with the in-house non-variola orthopox/monkeypox generic real-time PCR assay(ICMR-NIV,Pune)for the screening of(MPXV)cases at Medical Research Institute(MRI)in Sri ***,clinical and sociodemographic data of suspected/confirmed cases received at MRI for the MPXV screening were also ***:The diagnostic performance of the commercial LightMix Modular MPXV qPCR assay with the in-house nonvariola orthopox/monkeypox generic real-time PCR assay for the screening of suspected MXPV cases was evaluated using standard methods with minor ***-demographic and clinical profiles of suspected and confirmed MPXV cases were also ***:The commercial LightMix Modular MPXV assay was able to detect MPXV with 100%sensitivity and specificity with non-variola orthopox/monkeypox generic rtPCR *** the period of study,from the total of 25 samples tested,only 2 were MPXV-positive(males).The most common symptoms of suspected MPXV cases were lesions or rashes(92%).Conclusions:With the continually increasing number of cases,access to MPXV testing should be made more widely *** commercial LightMix Modular MPXV(TIB Molbiol)qPCR assay offers comparable performance to the non-variola orthopox/monkeypox generic real time PCR assay for MPXV detection during the present outbreak.

Synthesis of Nano-sized Barium Titanate Powder by Solid-state Reaction between Barium Carbonate and Titania

Size control of BaTiO3 in solid-state reaction between BaCO3 and TiO2 was demonstrated by varying the size of TiO2 and milling conditions of BaCO3. The smaller TiO2 particles had higher surface area, resulting in faster initial reaction. The mechanically milled BaCO3 particles accelerated the diffusion process and decreased the calcinations temperature. It can be deduced from the results that the size control is possible and nano-sized BaTiO3 particles with about 60 nm can be synthesized by using the conventional solid-state reaction between BaCO3 and TiO2.
