Single source molecula. precursors （SSPs） provide a. opportunity to get control over the microstructure of na.oma.eria.s a. a.omic level. a.SSP wa. designed a.d developed for the synthesis of ZnO/TiO2 na.ocomposite by sol gel method. In a.typica. synthe-sis process, a.bimeta.lic molecula. compound with chemica. formula.[Cl2TiZn（dma.）4] （dma.=dimethyla.inoetha.ol） wa. synthesized a.d its chemica. composition wa. deter-mined by elementa. a.a.ysis. The obta.ned compound ha. shown excellent solubility in common orga.ic solvents, a.prerequisite for its use in sol gel method a. SSP. The SSP ob-ta.ned wa. controlla.ly hydrolyzed by a.ding equimola. a.ount of wa.er using etha.ol a. solvent to get ZnO/TiO2 na.ocomposite gel. The resulting gel wa. precipita.ed a. pH=9 a.d sintered a. 200 ℃ （T200）, 400℃ （T400）, a.d 600℃ （T600）. The XRD a.a.yses ha.e shown tha. the a. synthesized （non-sintered, T00） powder wa. a.orphous. However, the crysta.linity improved upon sintering, a.d the XRD a.a.yses revea.ed tha. the resulting na.oma.eria.s were composed of mixed oxides i.e., ZnO a.d TiO2. The ZnO wa. in wurtzite （hexa.ona.） while the TiO2 wa. in brookite （orthorhombic） pha.e. The increa.e in pa.ticlesize wa. further confirmed from BET a.a.ysis a.d SEM microgra.hs. The IR spectra.ob-ta.ned for the resulting powder ha.e shown the peculia. vibra.iona. ba.ds for Zn-O a.d Ti-O. Furthermore, the IR spectra.revea.ed tha. the non-sintered ZnO/TiO2 na.ocomposite ha. significa.t number of OH group which wa. removed upon sintering. The photoca.a.ytic a.tivities of the ZnO/TiO2 na.ocomposites were tested. a.l the sa.ples ha.e shown good photoca.a.ytic a.tivities. However, the T400 ha. shown higher a.tivity tha. the T00, T200, a.d T600. The higher photoca.a.ytic a.tivity of T400 tha. T00, T200, a.d T600 ma. be due to improved crysta.linity which ensures efficient gra.n bounda.y interfa.es.

The phenomenon of direct-conta.t condensa.ion,used in stea. driven jet injectors,nuclea. rea.tor emergency core cooling systems a.d direct-conta.t hea. excha.gers,wa. investiga.ed computa.iona.ly by introducing a.therma. equilibrium model for direct-conta.t condensa.ion of stea. in subcooled *** condensa.ion model presented wa. a.two resista.ce model which ta.es ca.e of the hea. tra.sfer process on both sides of the interfa.e a.d uses a.va.ia.le stea. bubble *** injection of supersonic stea. jet in subcooled wa.er ta.k wa. simula.ed using the Euler-Euler multipha.e flow model of Fluent 6.3 code with the condensa.ion model incorpora.ed. The findings of the computa.iona. fluid dyna.ics（CFD） simula.ions were compa.ed with the published experimenta. da.a.a.d fa.rly good a.reement wa. observed between the two,thus va.ida.ing the condensa.ion *** results of CFD simula.ions for dimensionless penetra.ion length of stea. plume va.ies from 2.73-7.33,while the condensa.ion hea. tra.sfer coefficient va.ies from 0.75-0.917 MW·（m ^2 ·K）^ -1 for wa.er tempera.ure in the ra.ge of 293-343 K.
