Introduction:Haemophilus influenzae(Hi)is subdivided into typeable(a-f)and non-typeable *** serotype b(Hib)has historically been one of the important pathogens responsible for invasive ***,after widespread Hib vaccination,the emergence of other Hi serotypes,specifically Hi serotype a(Hia),was noted during the last few decades,mostly in children younger than 5 years of *** presentation:We present two cases of severe intracranial infections with detected Hia in patients>5 years of age within a short time frame and within the same geographic ***:epidemiological studies and surveillance on Hia-related illnesses in all age groups worldwide are needed to better understand the clinical and epidemiological characteristics of *** can establish a platform to develop a candidate vaccine against Hia that might protect children of all ages.

对白沙蒿 (ArtemisiasphaerocephahaKrasch .)种子萌发不同阶段的种胚提取物中几种可能降解果皮外层粘液物质的多糖内切酶进行了检测。研究结果表明 :多聚半乳糖醛酸酶在干燥胚中已存在并具较高的活性 ,但其活性随着种子吸涨及萌发而降低。此酶并不释放到种胚外。β 甘露聚糖内切酶随着种子的吸涨而增加并被萌发的种胚释放到种子外。纤维素酶在种子萌发的过程中不表现出活性。提取物中的所有多糖内切酶都无法降解果皮外层的粘液物质。

白沙蒿 (ArtemisiasphaerocephalaKrasch .)是中国西北沙区分布的多年生植物。瘦果遇湿后其粘液层开始膨胀。对其种子萌发不同阶段的种胚提取物中几种可能降解果皮外层粘液物质的外切糖苷酶进行了检测。结果表明 :β 吡喃半乳糖苷酶在干种子中的活性很高 ,但是随着种子的吸涨而逐渐降低 ,在已萌发的种子中无法探测到。α和 β 吡喃阿拉伯糖苷酶、β 吡喃葡萄糖苷酶以及 β 吡喃甘露糖苷酶在种子萌发过程的胚提取物中也显示出了一些活性 ,但是这些活性在种胚外却无法探测到。所有胚提取物中的外切糖苷酶都无法降解果皮粘液物质。所有的证据都表明果皮外层的粘液物质无法在种子萌发的早期被水解。因此果皮粘液物质在干旱沙质条件下的生态功能被限制在吸收水分以及延长胚吸水的时间。

研究证实培养人眼视网膜色素上皮(RPe)细胞具有β_2肾上腺能受体。异丙肾上腺素、Sa-lbutamol和多巴胺均通过激活β_2受体诱导细胞内cAMP合成,其效应可被β受体拮抗剂心得安和β_2受体拮抗剂ICI 118551所阻断,而β_1受体拮抗剂CgP20712 A对之无影响;作为选择性β_2受体激动剂的Pi-ndolol和OXPrenolol也不影响cAMP的基础水平。结果提示:在人眼RPe细胞,其β肾上腺能受体以β_2受体亚型为主要存在形式;β_2受体对RPe细胞复杂的生理功能可能具有重要的调控作用。

Background and objective::Sinus surgery has seen significant changes over the years with advancements in instruments,endoscopes and *** study aimed to use Hospital episode Statistics(HeS)data to review the total number of sinus related procedures performed in both adults and children across england and identify whether there were any trends across the study *** predicted an increase in endoscopic sinus procedures with a decline in open approaches to the paranasal ***::Data from HeS was extracted for the years *** operative(OPCS-4)codes relevant to all sinus procedures between e12.1 and e17.9 were *** examination of overall sinus related procedures,further subgroup analysis was performed with regards to open or endoscopic ***::The total number of sinus procedures performed between 2010 and 2019 was 89,*** was an increase in endoscopic surgeries by 21.1%and a decrease of open surgeries 35.3%during this *** was an overall increase in maxillary,frontal and sphenoid sinus procedures,with a decrease in ethmoid sinus and lateral rhinotomy *** was an increase in the proportion of endoscopic cases overall by 5.7%and for all sinuses ***::Overall,we see an increase in sinus surgery over the last 9 years from 2010 to *** findings are in keeping with our initial *** our data set is limited by coding,and lack of patient factors,it represents most,if not all,of the data in england over a large study *** is therefore useful to add to previous studies when demonstrating the increasing popularity of endoscopic sinus surgery over open procedures.

The deterministic geophysical inversion methods are dominant when inverting magnetotelluric data whereby its results largely depends on the assumed initial model and only a single representative solution is obtained. A common problem to this approach is that all inversion techniques suffer from non-uniqueness since all model solutions are subjected to errors, under-determination and uncertainty. A statistical approach in nature is a possible solution to this problem as it can provide extensive information about unknown parameters. In this paper, we developed a 1D Bayesian inversion code based Metropolis-Hastings algorithm whereby the uncertainty of the earth model parameters were quantified by examining the posterior model distribution. As a test, we applied the inversion algorithm to synthetic model data obtained from available literature based on a three layer model (K, H, A and Q). The frequency for the magnetotelluric impedance data was generated from 0.01 to 100 Hz. A 5% gaussian noise was added at each frequency in order to simulate errors to the synthetic results. The developed algorithm has been successfully applied to all types of models and results obtained have demonstrated a good compatibility with the initial synthetic model data.
