DoS Attack Detection Based on Deep Factorization Machine in SDN

Software-Defined Network(SDN)decouples the control plane of network devices from the data *** alleviating the problems presented in traditional network architectures,it also brings potential security risks,particularly network Denial-of-Service(DoS)*** many research efforts have been devoted to identifying new features for DoS attack detection,detection methods are less accurate in detecting DoS attacks against client hosts due to the high stealth of such *** solve this problem,a new method of DoS attack detection based on Deep Factorization Machine(DeepFM)is proposed in ***,we select the Growth rate of Max Matched Packets(GrMMP)in SDN as detection ***,the DeepFM algorithm is used to extract features from flow rules and classify them into dense and discrete features to detect DoS *** training,the model can be used to infer whether SDN is under DoS attacks,and a DeepFM-based detection method for DoS attacks against client host is *** results show that our method can effectively detect DoS attacks in *** with the K-Nearest Neighbor(K-NN),Artificial Neural Network(ANN)models,Support Vector Machine(SVM)and random Forest models,our proposed method outperforms in accuracy,precision and F1 values.

Since transactions in blockchain are based on public ledger verification,this raises security concerns about privacy *** it will cause the accumulation of data on the chain and resulting in the low efficiency of block verification,when the whole transaction on the chain is *** order to improve the efficiency and privacy protection of block data verification,this paper proposes an efficient block verification mechanism with privacy protection based on zeroknowledge proof(ZKP),which not only protects the privacy of users but also improves the speed of data block *** is no need to put the whole transaction on the chain when verifying block *** just needs to generate the ZKP and root hash with the transaction information,then save them to the smart contract for ***,the ZKP verification in smart contract is carried out to realize the privacy protection of the transaction and efficient verification of the *** the data is validated,the buffer accepts the complete transaction,updates the transaction status in the cloud database,and packages up the ***,the ZKP strengthens the privacy protection ability of blockchain,and the smart contracts save the time cost of block verification.

BACKGrOUND Hepatitis C virus(HCV)is a disease with a significant global impact,affecting approximately 2%-2.5%of the world’s *** direct-acting antivirals(DAAs)have been introduced over the past few years with great success in viral *** association of chronic HCV infection with a wide spectrum of cutaneous manifestations has been widely reported in the *** To assess the effect of treating HCV with DAAs on the extrahepatic cutaneous manifestations of *** This prospective observational study included 1039 HCV positive Egyptian patients who were eligible to receive DAAs.A total of 30 patients were diagnosed with extrahepatic cutaneous manifestations and fulfilled the inclusion criteria of the *** these patients,6 had classic lichen planus,8 were diagnosed with psoriasis vulgaris and 16 had *** patients received DAAs from October 2018 to July 2019 in the form of a three-month course of sofosbuvir/daclatasvir *** with lichen planus or psoriasis were dermoscopically evaluated before treatment and 6 mo after treatment,while patients with hepatic pruritus were assessed using the 12-Item Pruritus Severity Scale over the same *** All patients with psoriasis showed significant improvement in all psoriatic plaques,and all patients with hepatic pruritus scored 0 on the 12-Item Pruritus Severity Scale indicating total improvement of *** addition,four of six patients with lichen planus showed complete *** Treatment of HCV with DAAs was significantly effective in improving virusrelated extrahepatic cutaneous manifestations.

The treatment of erectile dysfunction （ED） has been a fascination involving multiple medical specialities over the past century with urologic, cardiac and surgical experts all contributing knowledge toward this multifactorial disease. With the well-described association between ED and cardiovascular disease, angiography has been utilized to identify vasculogenic impotence. Given the success of endovascular drug-eluting stent （DES） placement for the treatment of coronary artery disease, there has been interest in using this same technology for the treatment of vasculogenic ED. For men with inflow stenosis, DES placement to bypass arterial lesions has recently been reported with a high technical success rate. Comparatively, endovascular embolization as an approach to correct veno-occlusive dysfunction has produced astonishing procedural success rates as well. However, after a thorough literature review, arterial intervention is only recommended for younger patients with isolated vascular injuries, typically from previous traumatic experiences. Short-term functional outcomes are less than optimal with long-term results yet to be determined. In conclusion, the hope for a minimally invasive approach to ED persists but additional investigation is required prior to universal endorsement.

Sensors produce a large amount of multivariate time series data to record the states of Internet of Things(IoT)*** time series timestamp anomaly detection(TSAD)can identify timestamps of attacks and ***,it is necessary to determine which sensor or indicator is abnormal to facilitate a more detailed diagnosis,a process referred to as fine-grained anomaly detection(FGAD).Although further FGAD can be extended based on TSAD methods,existing works do not provide a quantitative evaluation,and the performance is ***,to tackle the FGAD problem,this paper first verifies that the TSAD methods achieve low performance when applied to the FGAD task directly because of the excessive fusion of features and the ignoring of the relationship’s dynamic changes between ***,this paper proposes a mul-tivariate time series fine-grained anomaly detection(MFGAD)*** avoid excessive fusion of features,MFGAD constructs two sub-models to independently identify the abnormal timestamp and abnormal indicator instead of a single model and then combines the two kinds of abnormal results to detect the fine-grained *** on this framework,an algorithm based on Graph Attention Neural Network(GAT)and Attention Convolutional Long-Short Term Memory(A-ConvLSTM)is proposed,in which GAT learns temporal features of multiple indicators to detect abnormal timestamps and A-ConvLSTM captures the dynamic relationship between indicators to identify abnormal *** simulations on a real-world dataset demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can achieve a higher F1 score and hit rate than the extension of existing TSAD methods with the benefit of two independent sub-models for timestamp and indicator detection.

Usually,rural areas can be electrified via three-phase distribution transformers with relatively large *** such areas,low voltage lines are used for long distances,which cause power losses and voltage drop for different types of *** losses and improving voltage profiles in rural distribution networks are significant challenges for electricity distribution *** different solutions were proposed in the literature to overcome these challenges,most of them face difficulties when applied in the conventional distribution *** address the above issues,an applicable solution is proposed in this paper by installing a number of small-capacity distribution transformers instead of every single large-capacity transformer in rural *** proposed approach is implemented in the branch network of Al-Hoqool village,which belongs to the Nineveh distribution *** network has been inspected on-site,drawn,and analyzed using the electrical systems analysis program(ETAP).The analysis showed that using the single-phase pole-mounted transformers can improve the voltage in the network’s end by 29%and enhance the voltage profile for all *** analysis has also demonstrated that the modification can reduce the total power losses by 78%compared to the existing *** the economic aspect,the payback period for the proposed network is assigned to be 20 months.

Apis mellifera syriaca exhibits a high degree of tolerance to pests and pathogens including varroa mites. This native honey bee subspecies of Jordan expresses behavioral adaptations to high temperature and dry seasons typical of the region. However, persistent honey bee imports of commercial breeder lines are endangering local honey bee population. This study reports the use of next-generation sequencing （NGS） technology to study the A. m. syriaca genome and to identify genetic factors possibly contributing toward mite resistance and other favorable traits. We obtained a total of 46.2 million raw reads by applying the NGS to sequence A. m. syriaca and used extensive bioinformatics approach to identify several candidate genes for Varroa mite resistance, behavioral and immune responses char- acteristic for these bees. As a part of characterizing the functional regulation of molecular genetic pathway, we have mapped the pathway genes potentially involved using information from Drosophila melanogaster and present possible functional changes implicated in responses to Varroa destructor mite infestation toward this. We performed in-depth functional annotation methods to identify -600 candidates that are relevant, genes involved in pathways such as microbial recognition and phagocytosis, peptidoglycan recognition protein family, Gram negative binding protein family, phagocytosis receptors, serpins, Toll signaling pathway, Imd pathway, Tnf, JAK-STAT and MAPK pathway, heamatopioesis and cellular response pathways, antiviral, rNAi pathway, stress factors, etc. were selected. Finally, we have cataloged function-specific polymorphisms between A. mellifera and A. m. syriaca that could give better understanding of varroa mite resistance mechanisms and assist in breeding.
