The rapid advancem.nt in technology and the increased num.er of web applications with very short turnaround tim. caused an increased need for protection from.vulnerabilities that grew due to decision m.kers overlooking the need to be protected from.attackers or software developers lacking the skills and experience in writing secure code. Structured Query Language (SQL) Injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), Distributed Denial of service (DDos) and suspicious user behaviour are som. of the com.on types of vulnerabilities in web applications by which the attacker can disclose the web application sensitive inform.tion such as credit card num.ers and other confidential inform.tion. This paper proposes a fram.work for the detection and prevention of web threats (WTDPF) which is based on preventing the attacker from.gaining access to confidential data by studying his behavior during the action of attack and taking preventive m.asures to reduce the risks of the attack and as well reduce the consequences of such m.licious action. The fram.work consists of phases which begin with the input checking phase, signature based action com.onent phase, alert and response phases. Additionally, the fram.work has a logging functionality to store and keep track of any action taking place and as well preserving inform.tion about the attacker IP address, date and tim. of the attack, type of the attack, and the m.chanism.the attacker used. m.reover, we provide experim.ntal results for different kinds of attacks, and we illustrate the success of the proposed fram.work for dealing with and preventing m.licious actions.

Effects of hydrogel, bentonite, and biochar as soil am.ndm.nts on soil hydraulic properties and im.roving water availability from.saturation to oven dryness were investigated. Soils were m.xed with hydrogel (0.10%, 0.25%, and 0.50%), bentonite (0.5%, 1.0%, and 2.5%), and biochar (1.0%, 2.5%, and 5.0%) as soil am.ndm.nts (weight:weight). Three m.thods (extended m.ltistep outflow (Xm.O), evaporation (EVA), and WP4 dewpoint potentiom.ter) were used to m.asure soil hydraulic properties from.saturation to oven dryness. The cum.lative Xm.O results were m.re uniform.across all the applied pressure steps for the am.nded soils. The EVA exhibited a shorter linear decrease during the first evaporation stage and a lower evaporation rate during the second evaporation stage. The WP4 results also exhibited that soil am.ndm.nts increased the soil water content of the am.nded soils at low m.tric potentials. The results of soil water retention curves revealed that the unam.nded soil retained less water at any m.tric potential com.ared to the am.nded soils. Soil hydraulic conductivity decreased with increasing am.unt of soil am.ndm.nts. The saturated hydraulic conductivity was higher for the unam.nded soil than the soils am.nded w计h 2.5% bentonite, 0.50% hydrogel, and 5.0% biochar by 11, 3, and 18 tim.s, respectively. These results suggested that soil am.ndm.nts im.roved soil water retentivity, which confirm.d the appropriateness of these soil am.ndm.nts for potential use in sandy soil im.rovem.nts. However, field experim.nts and econom.cal perception studies should be considered for further investigation.

The structural perform.nce of perforated steel colum.s(PSCs)is significantly m.re com.lex than the one of solid web I-shaped elem.nts under the diversity of blast loading *** dam.ge criterion of PSCs is not only related to initial deform.tion response during the blast but also the residual axial load capacity and it can be considered as a reliable index after the blast ***,the PSCs dam.ges will be studied in two stages;direct and post blast *** the present study,the dynam.c response of PSCs was num.rically evaluated under different levels of blast threats using LS-DYNA *** explicit finite elem.nt(FE)analyses are carried out to investigate the effect of various param.ters,such as web opening shapes,boundary conditions and strengthening details on the dam.ge index and toughness of the PSCs com.ared to the parent steel *** results of the com.arative study show that the dam.ge and toughness decrease when the support condition changes from.pinned to fixed ends through the two stages of *** give high toughness com.ared to its parent sections during blast shock stage while,a rem.rkable decrease in toughness is observed during the application of axial gravity after blast ***,the web opening shapes have slight effects on the global dynam.c behavior of PSCs,particularly in term. of residual *** the contrary,the retrofitting strategy using both closed holes at end and vertical stiffeners have an effective enhancem.nt to get higher toughness in case of the extrem. blasts.

Nowadays, trends in wastewater treatm.nt by zero-valent iron（ZVI） were turned to use bim.tallic NZVI particles by planting another m.tal onto the ZVI surface to increase its reactivity. Nano size zero-valent iron/copper（NZVI/Cu0） bim.tallic particles were synthesized in order to exam.ne its toxicity effects on the wastewater m.crobial life, kinetics of phosphorus, am.onia stripping and the reduction of chem.cal oxygen dem.nd（COD）.Various concentrations of NZVI/Cu0 and operation conditions both aerobic and anaerobic were investigated and com.ared with pure NZVI experim.nt. The results showed that addition10 m./L of NZVI/Cu0 significantly increased the num.ers of bacteria colonies under anaerobic condition, conversely it inhibited bacteria activity with the presence of oxygen. Furtherm.re,the im.act of nanoparticles on am.onia stripping and phosphorus rem.val was also linked to the em.tted iron ions electrons. It was found that dosing high concentration of bim.tallic NZVI/Cu0 has a negative effect on am.onia stripping regardless of the aeration condition. In com.arison to control, dosing only 10 m./L NZVI/Cu0, the phosphorus rem.val increased sharply both under aerobic and anaerobic conditions, these outcom.s were obtained as a result of com.lete dissolution of bim.tallic nanoparticles which form.d copper-iron oxides com.onents that are attributed to increasing the phosphorus adsorption rate.

This research presents,and claries the application of two perm.tation algorithm.,based on chaotic m.p system.,and applied to a le of speech *** are the Arnold cat m.p-based perm.tation algorithm.and the Baker’s chaotic m.p-based perm.tation *** algorithm. are im.lem.nted on the sam. speech signal ***,both the prem.er and the encrypted le histogram. are docum.nted and *** speech signal am.litude values with tim. signals of the original le are recorded and plotted against the encrypted and decrypted ***,the original le is plotted against the encrypted le,using the spectrogram.frequencies of speech signals with the signal *** perm.tation algorithm. are used to shufe the positions of the speech les signals’values without any changes,to produce an encrypted speech le.A com.arative analysis is introduced by using som. of sundry statistical and experim.ntal analyses for the procedures of encryption and decryption,e.g.,the tim. of both procedures,the encrypted audio signals histogram.the correlation coefcient between specim.ns in the prem.er and encrypted signals,a test of the Spectral Distortion(SD),and the Log-Likelihood Ratio(LLR)*** outcom.s of the different experim.ntal and com.arative studies dem.nstrate that the two perm.tation algorithm.(Baker and Arnold)are sufcient for providing an efcient and reliable voice signal encryption ***,the Arnold’s algorithm.gives better results in m.st cases as com.ared to the results of Baker’s algorithm.

Securing digital im.ges is becom.ng an im.ortant concern in today's inform.tion security due to the extensive use of secure im.ges that are either transm.tted over a network or stored on disks. Im.ge encryption is the m.st effective way to fulfil confidentiality and protect the privacy of im.ges. Nevertheless, owing to the large size and com.lex structure of digital im.ges, the com.utational overhead and processing tim. needed to carry out full im.ge encryption prove to be lim.ting factors that inhibit it of being used m.re heavily in real tim.. To solve this problem. m.ny recent studies use the selective encryption approach to encrypt significant parts of im.ges with a hope to reduce the encryption overhead. However, it is necessary to realistically evaluate its perform.nce com.ared to full encryption. In this paper, we study the perform.nce and efficiency of im.ge segm.ntation m.thods used in the selective encryption approach, such as edges and face detection m.thods, in determ.ning the m.st im.ortant parts of visual im.ges. Experim.nts were perform.d to analyse the com.utational results obtained by selective im.ge encryption com.ared to full im.ge encryption using sym.etric encryption algorithm.. Experim.nt results have proven that the selective encryption approach based on edge and face detection can significantly reduce the tim. of encrypting still visual im.ges as com.ared to full encryption. Thus, this approach can be considered a good alternative in the im.lem.ntation of real-tim. applications that require adequate security levels.

The lack of water resources in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula is a m.jor constraint for further socioeconom.c developm.nt, and flash floods in this region can dam.ge roads and infrastructure. The Wadi Watir basin is the m.in water source for the groundwater aquifer, which supplies fresh water to Nuweiba city, where dem.nds for groundwater are increasing. The objective of this research was to assess the hydrogeological suitability of installing Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) system. in the Wadi Watir delta by using num.rical groundwater m.dels. The developed m.dels were used to evaluate the effects of hydrogeological and operational param.ters on the recovery efficiency of ASR system. at five potential locations in the study area. As the estim.tion of recovery efficiency depends on the salinity of recovered water, the recovered water salinity lim.t was assum.d as 150% of the injected water salinity, where 150% refers to the point at which recovery has ended because the concentration of recovered water reached 150% of that of injected water. The m.st im.ortant output from.the m.del runs was that the recovery efficiency of these ASR system. ranged from.25% to 54% with a longitudinal dispersivity of 10 m. volum. of injected water of 12,000 m., and storage period of 180 days. The m.in conclusions are as follows. 1) Using coupled num.rical groundwater flow and solute transport m.dels is an effective tool for predicting the effects of m.xing between injected water and am.ient groundwater in ASR system.. 2) The groundwater aquifer in the study area is not suitable as strategic area for ASR system. because the thickness of the water storage layer is relatively sm.ll and the distance to the sea is very close;consequently, it is recom.ended that artificial recharge system. be developed with existing technology to replenish the groundwater aquifer in the Wadi Watir delta.
