Production of polysaccharides by lactic acid bacteria is vital and its technology is very im.ortant, too in dairy study. The selection ofexpolysaccharides producing encapsulated Lactobacillus bulgaricus in alginate gel and the factors affecting the production of polysaccharides such as tim., tem.erature, pH and the growth with Streptococcus therm.philus were studied, pH 5.5 and tem.erature 35℃/18hr were found to be optim.l for exopolysaccharides production by encapsulated L. bulgaricus and free culture yielding 600 m./L and 380 m./L respectively. Co-culturing L. bulgaricus with S. therm.philus increased exopolysaccharides production at 35 ℃/18hr to 660 m./L by encapsulated cells and 400 m./L by free culture. Results of this study were applied in the m.nufacture of Labneh cheese vitally containing probiotic species ofL. acidophilus, L. gasseri, L. johnsonii and protection of these bacteria by polysaeeharide produced encapsulated L. bulgaricus. The use of exopolysaccharides producing encapsulated L. bulgaricus and probiotic bacteria can provide acceptable quality to functional Labneh. This product can be used as therapeutic and diabetic m.lk product with highly acceptable qualities. It is noted that all of the results are the m.ans of triplicate experim.nts.

Tributyl phosphate （TBP） solvent was used for im.regnation into Am.erlite XAD-16 nonionic polym.ric resin beads using the wet m.thod to prepare solvent im.regnated resin （SIR）. Undiluted TBP in a ratio to the resin support （volum. to m.ss） of 6.0 at room.tem.erature （RT） in 24 h was im.regnated the resin with a m.ss ratio of 1.944, while the prepared gross sam.le of SIR at the ratio of solvent to resin of 3.0 was im.regnated with a m.ss ratio of 1.88. Cerium.Ⅳ） oxide concentrate, prepared from.crude Egyptian m.nazite sand, containing 37% cerium. 1.6% thorium.and about 40% the other trivalent rare earth oxides, was used to prepare cerium.Ⅳ） nitrate solution for extraction using the prepared SIR. The im.regnated resin was satisfactory for Ce（Ⅳ） extraction from.nitric acid m.dium.at room.tem.erature. Cerium.loading capacity of the im.regnated resin reached 95.6% of the calculated theoretical capacity （173 g/kg （Ce/SIR）） under the conditions of 51.57 g/L cerium.and 2.48 g/L thorium. 5.0 m.l/L free nitric acid, solution to resin ratio of 10.0 and contacting the phases for 5.0 m.n. The loading capacity reached 98.75% when cerium.concentration was increased to 91.43 g/L under the sam. conditions.

Poly(p-phenylenediam.ne)/chitosan (PPPDA/Chi) com.osite was prepared by in situ chem.cal oxidative polym.rization of p-phenylenediam.ne (PPPDA) into chitosan (Chi) using am.onium.persulphate (APS) as an oxidant. PPPDA and PPPDA/Chi com.osite were characterized by FT-IR spectra and SEm.before and after copper loading. In batch adsorption m.thod, the m.xim.m.rem.val of copper was experienced when 1 g/L of PPPDA and PPPDA/Chi com.osite dosages were used at pH 5.0 for PPPDA and 6.0 for PPPDA/Chi com.osite for 360 m.n for both sorbents. PPPDA showed adsorption capacity qem.x of 650 m./g whereas its com.osite achieved qem.x of 573 m./g. The experim.ntal data correlate well with the Freundlich isotherm.equation and the pseudo-second order kinetic m.del. The Cu(II), loaded PPPDA and its com.osite can be efficiently reused for as m.ny as four cycles. The Cu(II)-loaded sorbents showed high antibacterial efficiency against Gram.positive and Gram.negative bacteria than their unloaded form..

The capability of piles to withstand horizontal loads is a m.jor design *** current research work aim. to investigate num.rically the responses of laterally loaded piles at working load em.loying the concept of a beam.on-Winkler-foundation *** governing differential equation for a laterally loaded pile on elastic subgrade is *** on LegendreGalerkin m.thod and Runge-Kutta form.las of order four and five,the flexural equation of long piles em.edded in hom.geneous sandy soils with m.dulus of subgrade reaction linearly variable with depth is solved for both free-and fixed-headed ***,as one of the world’s leading com.utational software,was em.loyed for the im.lem.ntation of *** proposed num.rical techniques provide the responses for the entire pile length under the applied lateral *** utilized num.rical approaches are validated against experim.ntal and analytical results of previously published works showing a m.re accurate estim.tion of the response of laterally loaded ***,the proposed approaches can m.intain both m.them.tical sim.licity and com.arable accuracy with the experim.ntal results.

We describe a case of right ilio-psoas abscess caused by stum. appendicitis 14 years after open *** appendicitis is a rare com.lication of appendectom.. Right ilio-psoas abscess was diagnosed in an im.unecom.etent patient and treated by ultrasound guided percutaneous drainage twice without identifying the cause of the abscess. The patient did not im.rove until diagnostic laparoscopy was perform.d revealing a long stum. appendicitis to be the origin of infection. It was treated by com.letion appendectom.. Surgical exploration m.y be necessary in persistent or recurrent ilio-psoas abscesses. We identified 4 reported cases of post-appendectom. ilio-psoas abscess but without recognizing the cause of the abscess and its relation to appendectom.. This is the first reported case of ilio-psoas abscess that developed as a com.lication of stum. appendicitis.

Nanocrystalline zirconia powder with high surface area and high tetragonal phase percentage is prepared by the precipitation m.thod using am.onium.hydroxide as a precipitating agent. The pH of precipitation, preparation tem.erature and calcinations＇ tem.erature are *** size, specific surface area, tetragonal phase percentage and the therm.l stability of the prepared sam.les are identified by diferent characterization tools such as X-ray difraction（XRD）, therm. gravim.tric analysis（TGA）, diferential scanning calorim.try（DSC）, BET surface area, scanning electron m.croscopy（SEm. and transm.ssion electron m.croscopy（TEm.. The optim.m.preparation param.ters for obtaining nanocrystalline zirconia with high percentage of tetragonal phase and high surface area are pH 9, preparation tem.erature of 80℃ and calcinations＇ tem.erature of 400℃. The sam.le prepared under optim.zed conditions showed a high specific surface area of 179.2 m./g, high tetragonal phase percentage of 81% and high catalytic activity（60%） for synthesis of butyl acetate ester.

This study presents a technique for power frequency AC voltage *** proposed technique utilises a capacitor having a low capacitance in addition to a double wound Rogowski *** technique depends on capacitor current m.asurem.nt using the double wound Rogowski *** voltage across the capacitor that connected in parallel with the system.at which AC voltage is intended to be m.asured is *** proposed technique is experim.ntally evaluated by designing the m.asurem.nt system.and using a digital signal processing board for the reconstruction ***,the experim.ntal results based on Rogowski coil m.asurem.nts are com.ared with those obtained from.reference ***,the obtained results validate the efficacy of the proposed technique in power frequency AC voltage m.asurem.nt.
