Petrogenesis of the Late Cretaceous Tholeiitic Volcanism and Oceanic Island Arc Affinity of the Chagai Arc, Western Pakistan

The Late Cretaceous Chagai arc outcrops in western Pakistan, southern Afghanistan and eastern Iran. It is in the Tethyan convergence zone, formed by northward subduction of the Arabian oceanic plate beneath the Afghan block. The oldest unit of the Chagai arc is the Late Cretaceous Sinjrani Volcanic Group. This is composed of porphyritic lava flows and volcaniclastic rocks, and subordinate shale, sandstone, limestone and chert. The flows are fractionated low-K tholeiitic basalts, basaltic- andesites, and andesites. Relative enrichment in their LILE and depletion in HFSE, and negative Nb and Ta and positive K, Ba and Sr anomalies point to a subduction-related origin. Compared to mORB, the least fractionated Chagai basalts have low Na2O, Fe2O3^T, CaO, Ti, Zr, Y and ^87Sr/^86Sr. Rather than an Andean setting, these results suggest derivation from a highly depleted mantle in an intraoceanic arc formed by Late Cretaceous convergence in the Ceno-Tethys. The segmented subduction zone formed between Gondwana and a collage of small continental blocks （Iran, Afghan, Karakoram, Lhasa and Burma） was accompanied by a chain of oceanic island arcs and suprasubduction ophiolites including Semail, Zagros, Chagai-Raskoh, Kandahar, muslim Bagh, Waziristan and Kohistan-Ladakh, Nidar, Nagaland and manipur. These complexes accreted to the southern margin of Eurasia in the Late Cretaceous.

This study aimed to assess the effect of hesperetin and/or bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells(Bm-mSCs)on disturbed lipid profile,heart and kidney functions,oxidative stress and antioxidant defense system in streptozotocin(STZ)-induced diabetic *** 1 diabetes mellitus(T1Dm)was induced in male Wistar rats by injecting 40 mg/kg body weight(b.w.)STZ dissolved in citrate buffer(pH 4.5).The diabetic rats were treated with hesperetin orally administered at dose 20 mg/kg b.w.,Bm-mSCs intravenously injected at a dose of 1 x 106 cells/rat/week and their combination for 6 *** diabetic rats exhibited lipid abnormalities manifested by elevated serum levels of total cholesterol,triglycerides,LDL-cholesterol and VLDL-cholesterol and lowered HDL-cholesterol as well as elevated liver cholesterol and triglycerides content in association with the resultant fasting and postprandial hyperglycemia and insulin *** heart function biomarkers including CK-mB,AST and LDH activities as well as levels of kidney function parameters,creatinine,and urea,were significantly raised in the serum of diabetic *** changes were concomitant with abnormal redox balance represented by elevated lipid peroxidation,decreased glutathione content,and suppressed antioxidant enzyme activities in both heart and kidney of diabetic *** previous deleterious alterations were significantly ameliorated after the treatment of diabetic rats with hesperetin and Bm-mSCs singly or in combination;the treatment with hesperetin together with Bm-mSCs was the most *** on these findings,it can be concluded that the use of hesperetin with Bm-mSCs may have more additive therapeutic value than their uses singly in *** addition,the ameliorative effects of hesperetin and Bm-mSCs on lipid profile and heart and kidney functions in diabetic rats may be mediated,at least in part,via their suppressive effects on oxidative stress and ameliorative effects on the antioxidant defense system

Polyester/cotton(PET/C)blended fabric wastes are produced daily in huge amounts,which constitutes an economic loss and an environmental threat if it is not reused *** textile waste recycling technologies put much effort into developing fabric materials with unique properties,such as bioactivity or new optical goods based on modern technologies,especially *** this study,zinc oxide nanoparticles(ZnO-NPs)were biosynthesized using the aqueous extract of Dunaliella *** immobilized on PET/C waste fabrics after enzymatically activated with *** produced Dunaliella-ZnO-NPs(10–20 nm with a spherical shape)were characterized by High-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEm),Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-Ray diffraction analysis(XRD),and Scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray analyzer(SEm-EDAX),and some functional groups,such as CH,CO,NH,and CN(due to the presence of carboxyl,proteins and hydroxyl groups),were detected,revealing the biosynthesis of *** analysis showed that the resulting ZnO-NPS had potent antimicrobial effects,Ultraviolet(UV)protection capabilities,and no cytotoxic effects on the normal human fibroblast cell line(BJ1).On the other hand,enzymatic treatments of PET/C fabric waste with cellulases enhanced the immobilization of biosynthetic nanoparticles on their *** PET/C fabrics loaded with Dunaliella-ZnO-NPs showed antibacterial and UV protection capabilities making them an eco-friendly and cost-effective candidate for numerous *** applications can include the manufacture of active packaging devices,wastewater treatment units,and many other environmental applications.

The Deep Neural Networks(DNN)training process is widely affected by backdoor *** backdoor attack is excellent at concealing its identity in the DNN by performing well on regular samples and displaying malicious behavior with data poisoning *** state-of-art backdoor attacks mainly follow a certain assumption that the trigger is sample-agnostic and different poisoned samples use the same *** overcome this problem,in this work we are creating a backdoor attack to check their strength to withstand complex defense strategies,and in order to achieve this objective,we are developing an improved Convolutional Neural Network(ICNN)model optimized using a Gradient-based Optimization(GBO)(ICNN-GBO)*** the ICNN-GBO model,we are injecting the triggers via a steganography and regularization *** are generating triggers using a single-pixel,irregular shape,and different *** performance of the proposed methodology is evaluated using different performance metrics such as Attack success rate,stealthiness,pollution index,anomaly index,entropy index,and *** the CNN-GBO model is trained with the poisoned dataset,it will map the malicious code to the target *** proposed scheme’s effectiveness is verified by the experiments conducted on both the benchmark datasets namely CIDAR-10 andmSCELEB 1m *** results demonstrate that the proposed methodology offers significant defense against the conventional backdoor attack detection frameworks such as STRIP and Neutral cleanse.

Paleozoic rocks in the Wadi El Sahu area are affected by many major faults in different directions.A reverse fault trending NE-SW is exposed for about 300 m of its length as it cuts through the Abu Hamata and Adedia formations on the south side of Wadi El Sahu.A secondary ascending hydrothermal solution carrying heavy metals and radioactive minerals passed through the fault plain and the surrounding fractures,forming mineralized and radioactive *** mineralized zone thickness ranges from 60 cm to 200 cm along the fault *** rocks were analyzed radiometrically using a portable gamma-ray spectrometer,chemically by employing ICP-ES and ICP-mS,as well as mineralogically by both binocular and Environmental Scanning Electron *** content was also determined by fire *** and U contents reached up to 2682 and 1216 ppm,*** investigations indicated the presence of uraninite,torbernite,autunite,sklodowskite,kasolite as uranium minerals,thorite as a thorium mineral,monazite,allanite and xenotime as REE-bearing minerals,zircon and columbite as accessory minerals,gold and nickel as precious and base metals,in addition to cassiterite,chalcopyrite,chalcocite and *** REE and U contents are attributed to the circulation of epigenetic U and REE-bearing hydrothermal solutions along the fault plain and its surrounding *** alteration processes could then be confirmed by the presence of the m-type tetrad effect in the REE-patterns of the ferruginous *** non-chondritic ratio of Nb/Ta,Zr/Hf and Y/Ho in the studied sandstone may be attributed to the tetrad *** Ce and Eu anomaly with unusual REE-patterns was represented by the presence of conjugated m-W tetrad effects,indicating either the dual effect of hydrothermal solutions or groundwater with *** results clarify that the tetrad-effects could be used as evidence for the environment of deposition and as an indication for gold minerali

Objective: To investigate the prevalence of urinary tract infection among patients at messalata Central Hospital, Libya, to identify the causative bacteria, and to explore their resistance pattern to antimicrobials. methods: A total number of 1 153 urine samples were collected from patients, who attended daily to messalata Central Hospital, Libya, in a study extended for one year. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing and isolates typing were done using Phoenix BD(BD diagnostic). Resistance was confirmed manually using agar disk diffusion method. Results: Of the 1 153 urine samples tested, 160(13.9%) samples were positive, from which 17 different, solely Gram negative, uropathogens were identified. Escherichia coli were the most prevalent(55.6%) bacteria, followed by Klebsiella pneumoniae subspecies pneumoniae(16.3%), Proteus mirabilis(6.3%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa(5.6%), Enterobacter cloacae and Klebsiella oxytoca(2.5%, each), Citrobacter koseri and Providencia rettgeri(1.9%, each), Acinetobacter baumannii, Enterobacter aerogenes and Proteus vulgaris(1.3%, each), and Aeromonas caviae, Citrobacter freundii, Cronobacter sakazakii, Enterobacter amnigenus biogroup 2, Pseudomonas putida and Serratia marcescens(0.6%, each). The isolated uropathogens showed increased levels of resistance ranged from 10.5% to 64.5%, with an overall resistance of 28.9%. Amikacin was the most effective antimicrobial followed by Imipenem and meropenem(0%, 0.6% and 2.5% resistance, respectively); while, Cephalothin and Ampicillin were the least(80.6% and 90.0% resistance, respectively) effective. Conclusions: The obtained results emphasized the emergence of highly resistant bacteria to most of tested antimicrobials and raise the alarm for physicians to change their treatment pattern depending on antimicrobial susceptibility results.

Audio communications and computer networking play essential roles in our daily lives,including many domains with different *** in these technologies are *** consequence,there is a dire need to secure these technologies up to *** paper presents an efficient model for secure audio signal transmission over the wireless noisy uncorrelated Rayleigh fading ***,the performance of the utilized multiple secret keys-based audio cryptosystem is analyzed in different transformation *** discrete cosine transform(DCT),the discrete sine transform(DST),and the discrete wavelet transform(DWT)are investigated in the utilizedmultiple secret key-based audio *** results show consistent results with the wireless noisy *** performance of the proposed multiple secret keys-based audio cryptosystem can be ranked concerning the employed domain as DWT,DCT,and DST transform *** simulation experiments proved that the presented multiple secret keysbased audio cryptosystemfor audio signals transmitted over the wireless noisy uncorrelatedRayleigh fading channel achieves reliable and secure wireless link utilizing combined multi security layers.

Functional gastrointestinal disorders are commonly encountered in clinical practice, and pain is their commonest presenting symptom. In addition, patients with these disorders often demonstrate a heightened sensitivity to experimental visceral stimulation, termed visceral pain hypersensitivity that is likely to be important in their pathophysiology. Knowledge of how the brain processes sensory information from visceral structures is still in its infancy. However, our understanding has been propelled by technological imaging advances such as functional magnetic Resonance Imaging, Positron Emission Tomography, magnetoencephalography, and Electroencephalography （EEG）. Numerous human studies have non-invasively demonstrated the complexity involved in functional pain processing, and highlighted a number of subcortical and cortical regions involved. This review will focus on the neurophysiological pathways （primary afferents, spinal and supraspinal transmission）, brainimaging techniques and the influence of endogenous and psychological processes in healthy controls and patients suffering from functional gastrointestinal disorders. Special attention will be paid to the newer EEG source analysis techniques. Understanding the phenotypic differences that determine an individual＇s response to injurious stimuli could be the key to understanding why some patients develop pain and hyperalgesia in response to inflammation/injury while others do not. For future studies, an integrated approach is required incorporating an individual＇s psychological, autonomic, neuroendocrine, neurophysiological, and genetic profile to define phenotypic traits that may be at greater risk of developing sensitised states in response to gut inflammation or injury.

Basaltic volcanic conglomerates near the Wulgai village in Balochistan occur in the undivided sedimentary rock unit of the Bagh complex which is the mélange zone beneath the muslim Bagh ophiolite. The presence of middle Triassic grey radiolarian chert within the upper and lower horizon of the conglomerates suggests that the lavas, from which these conglomerates were principally derived, were eroded and re-deposited in the middle Triassic. The Wulgai conglomerate contains several textural and mineralogical varieties of volcanic rocks, such as porphyritic, glomerophyric, intersertal and vitrophyric basalts. The main minerals identified in these samples are augite, olivine, plagioclase（An35–78） leucite and nosean, with apatite ilmenite, magnetite and hematite occurring as accessory minerals. These rocks are mildly to strongly-alkaline with low mg~# and low Cr, Ni and Co contents suggesting that their parent magma had undergone considerable fractionation prior to eruption. Trace element-enriched mantle-normalized patterns with marked positive Nb anomalies are consistent with 10%–15% melting of an enriched mantle source in a within-plate tectonic setting. It is proposed that this middle Triassic intra-plate volcanism may represent mantle plume-derived melts related to the Late Triassic rifting of micro-continental blocks（including Afghan, Iran, Karakorum and Lhasa） from the northern margin of Gondwana.
