a.cha.a.teristic com.on to herpesviruses is the a.ility to esta.lish a.la.ent infection in the hosts, a.tra.scriptiona.ly a.tive region ha. detected during la.ency a. well a. a.set of RNa.tha. a.e known a. La.ency a.socia.ed Tra.scripts (La.s), their functions ha.e been cla.ified in recent work. The present work wa. ca.ried using different bioinform.tics m.thod in order to determ.ne if Herpesvirus Ca.ine 1 (CHV-1) ha. a.region a.socia.ed with la.ency. Our result wa. the selection of nine sequences ca.dida.e of m.cro RNa.(m.RNa. (m.REva. 2.0 softwa.e), a.d 26 m.RNa.(m.RNa.old v.1.0 softwa.e), of them. were selected 14 with rea. precursors of m.RNa. two were found between the RL2 a.d RS1 genes, one in the RL2 gene a.d 11 in the RS1 gene. The results showed tha. the sim.la.ities of these regions a.e very low a.0}ng the herpesviruses a.a.yzed, so it wa. not possible to deduce the presence of the La. gene in ca.ine herpesvirus type 1 with bioinform.tics. On the other ha.d, the com.a.ison showed tha. the m.RNa.predicted: chv1-m.r-m.rna.old-8 ha. sim.la.ity with the ebv-m.r-Ba.T7-3p of Epstein-Ba.r Virus (EBV), in this wa., the m.croRNa. predicted by m.a.s of bioinform.tic progra.0} m.t the theoretica. requirem.nts of these m.lecules, however a. not ha.ing a.degree of preserva.ion in other herpesviruses, the expression by CHV-1 in la.ency ca.not be confirm.d a.d it is necessa.y to identify through experim.nta. tests.

Biodegra.a.le na.opa.ticles such a. chitosa. na.opa.ticles (CSNPs) a.e used in susta.na.le a.riculture since theya.oid da.0}ge to the environm.nt;CSNPs ha.e positive effects such a. the a.cum.la.ion of bioa.tive com.oundsa.d increa.ed productivity in pla.ts. This study a.m.d to investiga.e the im.a.t of a.plying CSNPs on lettuce,specifica.ly focusing on enzym.tic a.tivity, bioa.tive com.ounds, a.d yield. The tria. wa. conducted using a.com.letelyra.dom.zed design, incorpora.ing CSNPs: 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, a.d 0.8 m. m.−1. The doses of 0.4 m. m.−1im.rove yields up to 24.6% increa.es a.d 0.1 m. m.−1 of CSNPs increa.es tota. phenols by 31.2% a.d a.tioxida.tca.a.ity by 34.6%. In a.dition, when low concentra.ions of CSNPs (0.05 a.d 0.1 m. L−1) were a.plied, a.increa.e in ca.a.a.e wa. determ.ned. The CSNPs represent a.good a.terna.ive to be used a. a.biostim.la.t in susta.na.lea.riculture beca.se they im.rove the yield a.d qua.ity of lettuce by increa.ing the bioa.tive com.ounds.

Red Ginseng （KRG） in im.otent m.n with erectile dysfunction （ED）. m.thods： a.tota. of 60 pa.ients presenting m.ld or m.ld to m.dera.e ED were enrolled in a.double-blind, pla.ebo-controlled study in which the effica.ies of KRG a.d a.pla.ebo were com.a.ed. The pa.ients received either 1 000 m. （3 tim.s da.ly） of KRG or a.pla.ebo. Results： The five-item.version of the Interna.iona. Index of Erectile Function （IIEF-5） score a.ter the trea.m.nt wa. significa.tly higher in the KRG group com.a.ed with tha. before the trea.m.nt （from.16.4±2.9 to 21.0±6.3, P 〈 0.0001）. In contra.t, there wa. no difference before a.d a.ter the trea.m.nt in the pla.ebo group （from.17.0±3.1 to 17.7±5.6, P 〉 0.05）. In the KRG group, 20 pa.ients （66.6%）, reported im.roved erection, significa.t in the globa. effica.y question （P 〈 0.01）; in the pla.ebo group there wa. no significa.ce. Scores on questions 2 （rigidity）, 3 （penetra.ion）, 4 a.d 5 （m.intena.ce）, were significa.tly higher for KRG tha. those for the pla.ebo when those questions were a.swered a.ter 12 weeks of ea.h trea.m.nt （P 〈 0.01）. When the score in the KRG group wa. com.a.ed to the pla.ebo group a.ter the trea.m.nt, there wa. a.significa.t im.rovem.nt in tota. score （IIEF-5 score） in questions 3 a.d 5 for the KRG-trea.ed group （P 〈 0.001 a.d P 〈 0.0001, respectively）. The levels of serum.testosterone, prola.tine a.d cholesterol a.ter the trea.m.nt were not sta.istica.ly significa.t different between the KRG a.d the pla.ebo group （P 〉 0.05）. Conclusion： Our da.a.show tha. KRG ca. be a. effective a.terna.ive to the inva.ive a.proa.hes for trea.ing m.le ED.

The phylogeny of exta.t m.nisperm.cea. (Ra.uncula.es) is reconstructed ba.ed on DNa.sequences of two chloropla.t genes (rbcL a.d a.pB) from.94 species belonging to 56 genera. Fossilized endoca.ps represent 34 genera. The positions of these a.e inferred using 30 m.rphologica. cha.a.ters a.d the m.lecula. phylogeny a. a.ba.kbone constra.nt. Nine of the thirteen nodes tha. a.e ea.h da.ed by a.fossil a.e used a. ca.ibra.ion points for the estim.tes of m.lecula. divergence tim.s. BEa.T is used to estim.te stem.a.e (121.2 m.r) a.d crown a.e (105.4 m.r) for m.nisperm.cea.. This m.thod does not require a. input tree topology a.d ca. a.so a.count for ra.e heterogeneity a.0}ng linea.es. The sensitivity of these estim.tes to fossil constra.nts is then eva.ua.ed by a.cross-va.ida.ion procedure. The estim.ted origin for m.nisperm.cea. is da.ed to the m.d-Jura.sic if the custom.ry m.xim.m.a.e of 125 m.r for eudicots is not im.lem.nted. a.l constra.nts when used a.one fa.led to estim.te node a.es in som. pa.ts of the tree. Fossils from.the Pa.a.ocene a.d Eocene im.ose strict constra.nts. Likewise, the use of Prototinom.scium.a. a.da.ing constra.nt for m.nisperm.cea. a.pea.s to be a.conserva.ive a.proa.h.
