An interferometer based on a D-shape chaotic optical tiber tor measurement ot multiparameters was proposed. The sensing structure relied on a D-shape fiber section spliced in between two singlemode fibers and interrogated in transmission. The optical spectrum was composed by multiple interference loss peaks, which were sensitive to the refractive index, temperature and strain-maximum sensitivities of 95.2 nm/RIU, 10.5 pm/℃ and -3.51 pm/με, respectively, could be achieved.

São Paulo State has witnessed CO_(2)storage-based investigations considering the availability of suitable geologic structures and proximity to primary CO_(2)source sinks related to bioenergy and carbon capture and storage(BECCS)*** current study presents the hydrocarbon viability evaluations and CO_(2)storage prospects,focusing on the sandstone units of the Rio Bonito *** objective is to apply petrophysical evaluations with geochemical inputs in predicting future hydrocarbon(gas)production to boost CO_(2)storage within the study *** study used data from eleven wells with associated wireline logs(gamma ray,resistivity,density,neutron,and sonic)to predict potential hydrocarbon accumulation and fluid mobility in the investigated *** samples(shale and carbonate)obtained from depths>200 m within the study location have shown bitumen *** geochemistry data of the Rio Bonito Formation shale beds suggest they are potential hydrocarbon source rocks and could have contributed to the gas accumulations within the sandstone *** drilled well data,e.g.,CB-1-SP and TI-1-SP,show hydrocarbon(gas)presence based on the typical resistivity and the combined neutron-density responses at depths up to 3400 m,indicating the possibility of other hydrocarbon members apart from the heavy oil(bitumen)observed from the near-surface rocks *** the three-dimensional(3-D)model,the free fluid indicator(FFI)is more significant towards the southwest and southeast of the area with deeper depths of occurrence,indicating portions with reasonable hydrocarbon recovery rates and good prospects for CO_(2)injection,circulation and permanent ***,future studies based on contemporary datasets are required to establish the hydrocarbon viability further,foster gas production events,and enhance CO_(2)storage possibilities within the region.

3-Anti-Circulant Digraphs Are α-Diperfect and BE-Diperfect

"Cultural Interviews with Chinese-Speaking Professionals"is a compilation of 227 brief video clips in which 57 Chinese-speaking professionals discuss over 50 cultural issues that are of interest to North *** professional share their opinions on topics that range from professional activities,negotiations,courtesy,and *** objective of the interviews is three-fold:First,provide practical cultural information about business topics. The opinions represent those of real *** times the opinions expressed are even contradictory,but they are designed to be a catalyst for discussion on these cultural issues. Second,the interviews provide vocabulary in areas within a professional *** interviews present diverse vocabulary within the context of each individual’s comments. Third,these materials provide non-native speakers of Chinese with multiple examples of natural speech,illustrating the way that speakers really *** video clips include samples of speakers from both China’s mainland as well as *** users view the video clips they have the option of seeing them with or without written transcripts(which are provided in either simplified,traditional,or pinyin formats). Let D be a digraph. A subset S of V (D) is a stable set if every pair of vertices in S is non-adjacent in D. A collection of disjoint paths is a path partition of D, if every vertex in V (D) is in exactly one path of . We say that a stable set S and a path partition are orthogonal if each path of contains exactly one vertex of S. A digraph D satisfies the α-property if for every maximum stable set S of D, there exists a path partition such that S and are orthogonal. A digraph D is α-diperfect if every induced subdigraph of D satisfies the α-property. In 1982, Berge proposed a characterization for α-diperfect digraphs in terms of forbidden anti-directed odd cycles. In 2018, Sambinelli, Silva and Lee proposed a similar conjecture. A digraph D satisfies the Begin-End-property or BE-property if for every maximum stable set S of D, there exists a path partition such that 1) S and are orthogonal and 2) for each path P ∈ , either the start or the end of P belongs to S. A digraph D is BE-diperfect if every induced subdigraph of D satisfies the BE-property. Sambinelli, Silva and Lee proposed a characterization for BE-diperfect digraphs in terms of forbidden blocking odd cycles. In this paper, we verified both conjectures for 3-anti-circulant digraphs. We also present some structural results for α-diperfect and BE-diperfect digraphs.

Designing a SCAR molecular marker for monitoring Trichoderma cf. harzianum in experimental communities

Several species of the fungal genus Trichoderma establish biological interactions with various micro- and macro-organisms. Some of these interactions are relevant in ecological terms and in biotechnological applications, such as biocontrol, where Trichoderma could be considered as an invasive species that colonizes a recipient community. The success of this invasion depends on multiple factors, which can be assayed using experimental communities as study models. Therefore, the aim of this work is to develop a species-specific sequence-characterized amplified region （SCAR） marker to monitor the colonization and growth of T. cf. harzianum when it invades experi- mental communities. For this study, 16 randomly amplified polymorphic DNA （RAPD） primers of 10-mer were used to generate polymorphic patterns, one of which generated a band present only in strains of T. cf. harzianum. This band was cloned, sequenced, and five primers of 20-23 mer were designed. Primer pairs 2F2/2R2 and 2F2/2R3 successfully and specifically amplified fragments of 278 and 448 bp from the T. cf. harzianum BpT10a strain DNA, respectively. Both primer pairs were also tested against the DNA from 14 strains of T. cf. harzianum and several strains of different fungal genera as specificity controls. Only the DNA from the strains of T. cf. hat-zianum was successfully amplified. Moreover, primer pair 2F2/2R2 was assessed by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction （PCR） using fungal DNA mixtures and DNA extracted from fungal experimental communities as templates. T. cf. harzianum was detectable even when as few as 100 copies of the SCAR marker were available or even when its population represented only 0.1% of the whole community.

The roots of the vegetal Curcuma due to its high content of polyphenols,has been used successfully in several clinical *** review assessed the effect of curcumin/Curcuma longa on symptoms and metabolic changes in inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).A systematic review of animal models and randomized clinical trials(RCTs)was conducted by searching the following electronic databases:PubMed,CENTRAL,LILACS,Science Direct,and *** 997 found records,62 were *** than 90%of the animal studies reported an improvement in macroscopic,histologic and/or functional activity;80%identified decreased oxidative and/or inflammatory biomarkers in animals treated with *** the RCTs,intention-to-treat analysis showed that oral curcumin was effective in inducing clinical remission(n=281,RR:3.15 CI 95%[1.22–8.10]p=0.0017;i2=72.2%,p=0.006)and clinical response(n=259,RR:1.60 CI 95%[1.09–2.35]p=0.0017;i2=59.7%,p=0.042)but not endoscopic remission(n=161,RR:2.91 CI 95%[0.58–14.58]p=0.195;i2=72.7%,p=0.026).These results confirm that oral supplementation with curcumin/Curcuma longa has beneficial actions in animal colitis and,when associated with drug therapy,is effective in the treatment of patients with IBD.

The inception of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) has brought convenience into many lives with uninterrupted wireless network. The nodes that transmit data consist of heterogeneous and battery equipped sensor nodes (SNs) that are deployed randomly for network surveillance. To manage the random deployment of nodes, clustering algorithms are used with efficient routing protocols. This results in aggregation and dropping of redundant data packets that enables flawless data transmission from cluster nodes to Base Station (BS) via Cluster Heads (CHs). In this paper, a dynamic and multi-hop clustering and routing protocol for thorough behavior analysis is proposed, taking distance and energy into consideration. This forms a smooth routing path from the cluster nodes, CHs, Sub-CHs to the BS. On comparing proposed process with the existing system, experimental analysis shows a significant enhancement in the performance of network lifetime, with improved data aggregation, throughput, as the protocol showing deterministic behavior while traversing the network for data transmission, we name this protocol as Multi-hop Deterministic energy efficient Routing protocol (MDR).

Are we giving biologics too late? The case for early versus late use

Corticosteroids and immunomodulators have been the mainstay therapies for Crohn’s disease. Corticosteroids are highly effective to control symptoms in the short- term, but they are not effective in maintaining remission, they heal the mucosa in a reduced proportion of cases, and long-time exposure is associated with an increased risk of infections and mortality. Immunomodulators, azathioprine and methotrexate, heal the mucosa in a higher proportion of patients that corticosteroids but their onset of action is slow and they benefit less than half of patients with Crohn’s disease. In the last decade, medical therapy for Crohn’s disease has experienced a remarkable change due to the introduction of biologic therapy, and particularly the use of anti-tumour necrosis factor-alpha agents. Infliximab, adalimumab, and certolizumab pegol have demonstrated efficacy for induction and maintenance of remission in active Crohn’s disease. These agents have raised the bar for what is a suitable symptomatic response in Crohn’s disease and modification of the natural history of the disease has become a major goal in the treatment of Crohn’s disease. There are several data in the literature that suggest that early use of biologic therapy and achievement of mucosal healing contribute to disease course modification. However, many questions on early biological therapy for Crohn’s disease remain still unanswered.
