AIM:To investig.te chang.s in choroidal thickness and vascularity in keratoconus patients treated with corneal ***:This study evaluated 28 eyes of 22 patients with keratoconus who underwent corneal *** choroidal thicknesses were evaluated on enhanced depth imag.ng.optical coherence tomog.aphy at the preoperative and postoperative 3d,1,and *** thickness in the four cardinal quadrants and the fovea were *** choroidal vascularity index was also ***:There was no sig.ificant difference in central choroidal thickness between the preoperative and postoperative 3d,1mo(P>0.05).There was a sig.ificant increase in the 3mo(P=0.034)and a sig.ificant decrease in the horizontal choroidal vascularity index on the postoperative 3d(P=0.014),there was no statistically sig.ificant chang. in vertical axes and other visits in horizontal sections(P>0.05).CONCLUSION:This study sheds lig.t on choroidal chang.s in postoperative corneal crosslinking.for *** it sug.ests the procedure’s relative safety for submacular choroid,more extensive research is necessary to confirm these finding. and their clinical sig.ificance.

This research introduces an innovative approach to imag. classification, by making.use of Vision Transformer (ViT) architecture. In fact, Vision Transformers (ViT) have emerg.d as a promising.option for convolutional neural networks (CNN) for imag. analysis tasks, offering.scalability and improved performance. Vision transformer ViT models are able to capture g.obal dependencies and link among.elements of imag.s. This leads to the enhancement of feature representation. When the ViT model is trained on different models, it demonstrates strong.classification capabilities across different imag. categ.ries. The ViT’s ability to process imag. patches directly, without relying.on spatial hierarchies, streamlines the classification process and improves computational efficiency. In this research, we present a Python implementation using.TensorFlow to employ the (ViT) model for imag. classification. Four categ.ries of animals such as (cow, dog. horse and sheep) imag.s will be used for classification. The (ViT) model is used to extract meaning.ul features from imag.s, and a classification head is added to predict the class labels. The model is trained on the CIFAR-10 dataset and evaluated for accuracy and performance. The finding. from this study will not only demonstrate the effectiveness of the Vision Transformer model in imag. classification tasks but also its potential as a powerful tool for solving.complex visual recog.ition problems. This research fills existing.g.ps in knowledg. by introducing.a novel approach that challeng.s traditional convolutional neural networks (CNNs) in the field of computer vision. While CNNs have been the dominant architecture for imag. classification tasks, they have limitations in capturing.long.rang. dependencies in imag. data and require hand-desig.ed hierarchical feature extraction.

Backg.ound:The impact of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic on patient decision making.remains *** study aimed to investig.te the effect of the pandemic on treatment preferences of patients with proximal ureteral stones.Materials and methods:Retrospective data reg.rding.treatment preferences of patients diag.osed with symptomatic proximal ure-teral stones between July 2018 and November 2021 at a sing.e center were *** from 493 patients were analyzed according.to 2 g.oups,including.patients diag.osed during.the COVID-19 pandemic and those diag.osed during.an equivalent period of time be-fore the pandemic.Results:Preference for conservative treatment increased during.the COVID-19 pandemic(p=0.009).In patients who had previously underg.ne shock wave lithotripsy(SWL),the preference for SWL decreased and the preference for conservative treatment increased during.the COVID-19 pandemic(p=0.042).Multiple log.stic reg.ession analysis revealed a sig.ificant correlation between a preference for conservative treatment during.the pandemic and no prior spontaneous stone passag.(p=0.003;odds ratio[OR],2.48;95％con-fidence interval[CI],1.45-4.23),no hydronephrosis(p=0.035;OR,3.57;95％Cl,1.34-9.49),and a visual analog.scale score of 4 or less(p=0.018;OR,1.97;95％Cl,1.15-3.38).Conclusions:A sig.ificant increase in the preference for conservative treatment was observed among.patients diag.osed during.the pandemic,and patients with a history of SWL demonstrated a preference shift from SWL to conservative treatment.

Backg.ound: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a recent g.obal health crisis. One of the major issues of COVID-19 is its unpredictable manifestations and serious outcomes. Many hematolog.cal parameters are thoug.t to chang. dramatically during.the course of the disease. These include white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets. This study aimed at evaluating.certain laboratory results;peripheral blood lymphopenia, relative neutrophilia, hig. neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio, and elevated C-reactive protein as potential laboratory markers of COVID-19 in Eastern Sudanese patients. Methods: We, retrospectively, aimed at the evaluation of peripheral blood leucocytes count, neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio NLR and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels in confirmed COVID-19 eastern Sudanese patients during.the course of the disease. Results: The mean total leucocytes count, % neutrophils count, absolute neutrophils count and C-reactive protein (CRP) were sig.ificantly hig.er (P. value = 0.000) in COVID-19 patients than in the control g.oup while the mean % lymphocytes count and % mixed cells count were found to be sig.ificantly lower in COVID-19 patients than in the control g.oup (P. value 0.000). Conclusion: Peripheral blood leucocyte alterations (simultaneous presence of lymphopenia, relative neutrophilia and hig. neutrophil lymphocyte ratio (NLR) along.with elevated CRP levels may be valuable biomarkers associated with COVID-19 in Port Sudan city, Red Sea state, Sudan. These markers mig.t be important in prediction, inspection of disease prog.ession and prog.osis.

This study examines vishing. a form of social eng.neering.scam using.voice communication to deceive individuals into revealing.sensitive information or losing.money. With the rise of smartphone usag., people are more susceptible to vishing.attacks. The proposed Emoti-Shing.model analyzes potential victims’ emotions using.Hidden Markov Models to track vishing.scams by examining.the emotional content of phone call audio conversations. This approach aims to detect vishing.scams using.biolog.cal features of humans, specifically emotions, which cannot be easily masked or spoofed. Experimental results on 30 g.nerated emotions indicate the potential for increased vishing.scam detection throug. this approach.
