Watermelon is a highly cultivated fruit crop renowned for its quality properties of fruit *** various quality factors,fruit flesh firmness is a crucial quality parameter influencing the fruit texture,shelf life and its commercial *** auxin/indole-3-acetic acid(Aux/IAA)plays a significant role in fruit development and ripening of non-climacteric ***,the regulatory mechanism of Aux/IAA in controlling fruit flesh firmness and ripening in watermelon remains *** this study,we employed an integrative approach combining genome-wide association study(GWAS)and bulked segregant RNA-Seq analysis(BSR-Seq)to identify an overlapping candidate region between 12776310 and 12968331 bp on chromosome 6,underlying an auxin-responsive gene(Aux/IAA)associated with flesh firmness in *** analysis,followed by real-time quantitative reverse transcription PCR(qRT-PCR),confirmed that the expression of Aux/IAA was consistently higher in fruits with high flesh *** sequence alignment revealed a single base mutation in the coding region of Aux/***,the concomitant Kompetitive/Competitive allele-specific PCR(KASP)genotyping data sets for F2 population and germplasm accessions identified Aux/IAA as a strong candidate gene associated with flesh ***/IAA was enriched in the plant hormone signal transduction pathway,involving cell enlargement and leading to low flesh *** determined the higher accumulation of abscisic acid(ABA)in fruits with low flesh firmness than hard ***,overexpression of Aux/IAA induced higher flesh firmness with an increased number of fruit flesh cells while reducing ABA content and flesh cell ***,the allelic variation in Aux/IAA for soft flesh firmness was found to exist in Citrullus mucosospermus and gradually fixed into Citrullus lanatus during domestication,indicating that soft flesh firmness was a domesticated *** findings significantly enhanced our unders

Supply chain management(SCM)and its associated activities continue to evolve as new communication technologies and cooperative efforts emerge to facilitate system-wide process integration;the context within which supply chains(SCs)operate,the technologies,and performance enhancement mechanisms have all ***,linear-based SCs are increasingly being challenged as firms look towards a more networked approach to maximize performance amid growing market *** paper,however,recognizing inherent similarities between social structure of Social Internet of Things(SIoT)principles and what we term supply community networks(SCN)from literature,seeks to cross-pollinate the two in a way capable of dealing with these market *** contribution is,therefore,a new‘setting’of social relationships between supply community agents(SCA)within SCN mirroring interactions played out in the physical world;SCAs autonomously sense each other,exchange information and interact within SCN mimicking the behavior of ***,it identifies the bounds of flow,*** possible dimensions within a SCN which need to be understood to support relationship ***,communications are improved,sharpening SCAs synchronization in a way responsive to customer needs.

Feeding Study with Bt Corn (MON810: Ajeeb YG) on Rats: Biochemical Analysis and Liver Histopathology

Bt corn “MON810: Ajeeb YG” produces delta endotoxins in the whole plant due to the genetic modification process. The chemical analysis of this variety showed significant differences from its conventional counterpart “Ajeeb”. Further, feeding studies on rats were designed to complete assessing the safety of “MON810: Ajeeb YG”. Three groups of rats (6 males and 6 females’ rats/group) were fed on control diet, non-Bt corn and Bt corn for 1.5 months and 3 months. After 1.5 months, 3 males and 3 females from each group were sacrificed, and after another 1.5 months, 3 males and 3 females from each group and their offspring were sacrificed. Histopathological examination, blood haematology and serum biochemical analysis were determined. Results indicated significant differences among the tested parameters in the three groups especially Bt group. Severe changes in the liver of Bt group after 3 months were observed.

Value of Pre- and Post-Treatment Platelet Indices in Patients with Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura

Introduction: Immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) is an acquired disorder characterized by isolated thrombocytopenia. There is no “gold standard” test that can establish the diagnosis of primary ITP. Therefore, the diagnosis is one of exclusion and is based on patient history, physical examination, complete blood count, and blood smear review. Platelet indices are biomarkers of platelet activation, allowing extensive investigations focusing on the diagnostic and prognostic values in various diseases without extra-costs. Mean platelet volume (MPV), platelet distribution width (PDW) and plateletcrit (PCT) were investigated aiming at evaluating the correlation between pre- and post-treatment values in ITP patients. The sensitivity and specificity of platelet indices for assessment of their predictive value for treatment response were also evaluated. Methods: Fifty newly diagnosed primary ITP patients were selected from the Hematology Clinics of Ain Shams University Hospitals and classified into pediatric and adult groups. Platelet count, MPV, PDW, PCT have been recorded for all pre and post-treatment CBC samples using Beckman Coulter LH750 analyzer. Results: In pediatrics post-treatment MPV and PDW were significantly decreased while PCT was increased when compared to their values at the time of presentation (P < 0.01). The same results were obtained in adult patients, except for PDW which did not attain any significance. A significant correlation was found between pre-treatment values of these platelet indices and treatment response in pediatrics, while no significance was found between pre-treatment PDW and treatment response in adults. Conclusion: Increased pre-treatment MPV and PDW, and decreased PCT can provide diagnostic and predictive value for treatment response in ITP patients.

互联网的快速发展极大地推动了电子商务的兴起和发展,索马里互联网技术相对中国较落后,目前还没有一套成熟的电子商务系统。索马里人民急需建立一套电子商务系统,为此,本文旨在实现一个具有个性化推荐系统和营销分析的索马里电子商务系统。本文的主要工作如下:首先,课题的目标是为索马里用户提供一个电子商务交易平台。该项目将专注于创建一个Web应用程序和一个移动应用程序。该平台将使电子商务企业和本地卖家能够方便的购买或销售其产品,该系统满足企业对客户(B2C)和客户对客户(C2C)的需求。此外,该系统基于Stripe实现了安全的在线支付功能,为客户提供无缝和安全的在线交易。其次,为了提高用户体验,本系统采用基于内容的过滤算法来实现个性化推荐,该算法使用Jaccard相似性来度量产品的相似性。推荐系统根据用户先前与系统的交互行为,向用户推荐产品。该推荐系统改善了用户体验,增强了客户的粘性。最后,该系统引入了数据驱动归因模型,来进行营销数据的分析。通过该模型,电子商务企业能够改进其营销策略,从而提高收入和转化率。该电子商务系统的开发过程中,采用了较先进的软件开发技术,包括多层体系结构,Web应用程序使用Vue、Inertia和Laravel等框架以及Lumen框架。平台安全方面,采用了Entrust Laravel框架。移动端采用Flutter编程语言,服务器端数据检索由RESTAPI提供接口。

Psychiatric Aspects of Infectious Diseases

Psychiatric symptoms can be associated with several systemic and central nervous system infections and they can be the initial presenting symptoms, occurring in the absence of neurological symptoms in some disorders as in some cases of viral encephalitis. They could also be part of the clinical picture in other cases such as psychosis or mood symptoms secondary to brucellosis or toxoplasmosis. Late-onset neuropsychiatric complications may also occur several years following the infection such as in the case of subacute sclerosing panencephalitis due to measles. Some Infectious diseases may have possible etiological role for major psychiatric disorders, based on yet unconfirmed reports for viral infectious diseases (e.g. Influenza virus and HSV-1) which are thought to have risk for developing schizophrenia and psychosis. Neuropsychiatric adverse effects can occur due to drugs (e.g. mefloquine, interferon-alpha) that are used for treatment of infectious diseases. Psychiatric symptoms can also be reactivated resulting from chronic, complicated and serious infections such as HIV that can lead to depression, anxiety or adjustment disorders, although CNS involvement can also be a possible etiological factor. Patients suffering from primary and severe psychiatric disorders are at increased risk of contracting infection;that is mainly related to high risk behaviors in patients with mania or schizophrenia. It is also important to consider that the co-occurrence of psychiatric symptoms and infection can be incidental (i.e. infectious diseases can occur in psychiatric patients regardless of the above mentioned factors). Early identification of the underlying etiology for organic/secondary psychiatric symptoms is essential for appropriate intervention and early treatment of the primary condition that could be the etiology of psychiatric symptoms so as to avoid unnecessary long-term psychiatric treatment and to avoid complications of possible misdiagnosis or delayed diagnosis of

背景:股骨粗隆下骨折是股骨近端最具挑战性的损伤之一,因为股骨的肌肉和骨骼解剖复杂。他们往往具有双峰年龄特征,年轻人通常是由高能量损伤引起的,老年人是单纯跌倒造成的,原因是骨质疏松。虽然在这些损伤的外科治疗方面已经取得了一些进展,但是内植物的选择仍具有争议,而且与手术相关的发病率仍然相当高。目标:本研究的主要目的是评估两组经手术治疗的成人股骨转子下骨折患者的并发症发生率和术后疗效。一组使用髓内钉,另一组使用钢板。方法;将我院从1999年9月至2017年10月行髓内钉或钢板治疗的42例股骨粗隆下骨折患者的临床及影像学资料整理收集后进行分析。平均年龄为54.86岁。33例采用钉内固定,9例采用切开复位钢板内固定。评估并发症发生率、住院时间、切口长度以及其他术前、术中和术后的特点,以确定两者之间的差异结果:总结分析四十二例病例,其中钉组33例,钢板组9例。两组在年龄、性别、损伤机制、损伤侧、骨折类型及其他损伤方面是相似的。髓内钉治疗组患者的住院时间短(P=0.011),切口较小(P<0.001)。两组并发症发生率无显著性差异(P=0.387);但术后并发症发生率钢板治疗组(9例中1例,11.1%)明显高于髓内钉治疗组(33例中1例;3%)。结论:成人股骨粗隆下骨折既可以用髓内钉进行固定,也可以用钢板进行固定。虽然我们的研究不能发现两者在并发症发生率上有显著的统计学差异。但钢板治疗组的住院时间较长。

Overweight and obesity in hip and knee arthroplasty:Evaluation of 6078 cases

AIM: To evaluate a possible association between thevarious levels of obesity and peri-operative characteristics of the procedure in patients who underwent endoprosthetic joint replacement in hip and knee joints. METHODS: We hypothesized that obese patients were treated for later stage of osteoarthritis, that more conservative implants were used, and the intraand perioperative complications increased for such patients. We evaluated all patients with body mass index(BMI) ≥ 25 who were treated in our institution from January 2011 to September 2013 for a primary total hip arthroplasty(THA) or total knee arthroplasty(TKA). Patients were split up by the levels of obesity according to the classification of the World Health Organization. Average age at the time of primary arthroplasty, preoperative Harris Hip Score(HHS), Hospital for Special Surgery score(HSS), gender, type of implanted prosthesis, and intra-and postoperative complications were ***: Six thousand and seventy-eight patients with a BMI ≥ 25 were treated with a primary THA or TKA. Age decreased significantly(P < 0.001) by increasing obesity in both the THA and TKA. HHS and HSS were at significantly lower levels at the time of treatment in the super-obese population(P < 0.001). Distribution patterns of the type of endoprostheses used changed with an increasing BMI. Peri- and postoperative complications were similar in form and quantity to those of the normal population. CONCLUSION: Higher BMI leads to endoprosthetic treatment in younger age, which is carried out at significantly lower levels of preoperative joint function.

The Possibility of Agricultural Drainage Water Reuse in Agricultural Project

Agricultural drainage water in Ashkada-Barak agricultural project is a major source of wasted water, which amount to about 35 million liters per day. This huge sum of wasted water cause a formation of pools around the area and therefore a lot of environmental problems such as the proliferation of mosquitoes, and other health problems, while it can be reuse in a variety purposes such as agriculture, fish farming and drinking, so the goal of this research is to study quality of water and determine its suitability. Different samples were taken over a period of year for testing the most important elements of which were estimated concentrations of nitrate, nitrite and ammonia. The results show a presence of high concentrations of nitrogen compounds in studied water. Temperature had been identified as environmental factor dynamically controlled the process of nitrification.
