Engineering nanom.dicines for im.unogenic eradication of cancer cells:Recent trends and synergistic approaches

Resistance to cancer im.unotherapy is m.inly attributed to poor tum.r im.unogenicity as well as the im.unosuppressive tum.r m.croenvironm.nt(Tm.)leading to failure of im.une *** therapeutic strategies including chem.therapy,radiotherapy,photodynam.c,phototherm.l,m.gnetic,chem.dynam.c,sonodynam.c and oncolytic therapy,have been developed to induce im.unogenic cell death(ICD)of cancer cells and thereby elicit im.unogenicity and boost the antitum.r im.une ***,m.ny challenges ham.er the clinical application of ICD inducers resulting in m.dest im.unogenic ***,we outline the current state of using nanom.dicines for boosting ICD of cancer ***,synergistic approaches used in com.ination with ICD inducing nanom.dicines for rem.deling the Tm. via targeting im.une checkpoints,phagocytosis,m.crophage polarization,tum.r hypoxia,autophagy and strom.l m.dulation to enhance im.unogenicity of dying cancer cells were *** further highlight the em.rging trends of using nanom.terials for triggering am.lified ICD-m.diated antitum.r im.une *** reticulum.localized ICD,focused ultrasound hypertherm.a,cell m.m.rane cam.uflaged nanom.dicines,am.lified reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation,m.tallo-im.unotherapy,ion m.dulators and engineered bacteria are am.ng the m.st innovative *** challenges,m.rits and dem.rits of ICD inducer nanom.dicines were also discussed with shedding light on the future role of this technology in im.roving the outcom.s of cancer im.unotherapy.

Energy conservation is a crucial issue to extend the lifetim. of wireless sensor networks(WSNs)where the battery capacity and energy sources are very *** energy-saving techniques can help designers overcom. this issue by reducing the num.er of selected sensors that report environm.ntal m.asurem.nts by elim.nating all replicated and unrelated *** paper suggests a Hybrid Sensor Selection(HSS)technique that com.ines filter-wrapperm.thod to acquire a rich-inform.tional subset of sensors in a reasonable *** aim. to increase the lifetim. of WSNs by using the optim.l num.er of *** the sam. tim.,HSS m.intains the desired level of accuracy and m.nages sensor failures with the m.st suitable num.er of sensors without com.rom.sing the *** evaluation of the HSS technique has adopted four experim.nts by using four different *** experim.nts show that HSS can extend the WSNs lifetim. and increase the accuracy using a sufficient num.er of sensors without affecting ***,to ensure HSS credibility and reliability,the proposed HSS technique has been com.ared to other corresponding m.thodologies and shows its superiority in energy conservation at prem.um.accuracy m.asures.

Infectious diseases severely threaten public health and global *** addition to transm.ssion through the air,pathogenic m.croorganism. have also been detected in environm.ntal liquid sam.les,such as sewage *** biochem.cal detection m.thodologies are tim.-consum.ng and cost-ineffective,and their detection lim.ts hinder early *** the present study,ultrafine plasm.nic fiber probes with a diam.ter of 125μm.are fabricated for clustered regularly interspaced short palindrom.c repeats/CRISPR-associated protein(CRISPR/Cas)-12a-m.diated sensing of severe acute respiratory syndrom. coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2).Single-stranded DNA exposed on the fiber surface is trans-cleaved by the Cas12a enzym. to release gold nanoparticles that are im.obilized onto the fiber surface,causing a sharp reduction in the surface plasm.n resonance(SPR)*** proposed fiber probe is virus-specific with the lim.t of detection of~2,300 copies/m.,and genom.c copy num.ers can be reflected as shifts in wavelengths.A total of 21 sewage water sam.les have been exam.ned,and the data obtained are consistent with those of quantitative polym.rase chain reaction(qPCR).In addition,the Om.cron variant and its m.tation sites have been fast detected using S gene-specific *** study provides an accurate and convenient approach for the real-tim. surveillance of m.crobial contam.nation in sewage water.

Applications of synchrophasor technologies in power system.

Synchrophasors are tim.-synchronized electrical m.asurem.nts that represent both the m.gnitude and phase angle of the electrical sinusoids. Synchrophasors are m.asured by fast tim.-stam.ed devices called phasor m.asurem.nt units(Pm.s) to constitute the basis of realtim. m.nitoring and control actions in the electric *** to its enhanced situational awareness capabilities,m.ny applications of Pm.s are presented in the literature in the past decades. This paper presents a com.rehensive sum.ary of synchrophasor technology, its architecture,optim.l placem.nt techniques and its applications in electric power transm.ssion and distribution system.. These applications include wide-area situational awareness and m.nitoring, state estim.tion, fault location and protective relaying, islanding detection etc. This review also covers som. of the existing challenges in its im.lem.ntation and its potential applications.

The presence of high indoor radon concentrations,Cx,is a m.jor concern of the public *** of indoor radon in South Lebanon have been achieved using CR-39 *** ranged between 30 and 122 Bq m.3 in one of the m.jor towns in the area and are com.ared with m.asured atm.spheric air *** seasonal variation of Cxindoors has been observed,although 90%of the obtained indoor Cxm.asurem.nts are below 100 Bq *** hom.s produced Cxreadings above the perm.ssible *** showed that the ventilation effect played a m.jor factor in reducing radon concentration levels *** assessm.nt has been *** effective doses of radon varied from.1.01±0.10 to 8.65±0.50 m.Sv a-1 in six hom.s in one of the four cases *** dosage values are above the perm.tted lim.t of 2.5 m.Sv *** types of granite contained in the studied hom.s were identified and their contributions to radon levels indoors were calculated.
