Optimization by the Taguchi Method of a Robust Synthesis Protocol of Calcium Carbonate Phosphate

The experimental processes are difficult to model by physical laws, because a multitude of factors can intervene simultaneously and are responsible for their instabilities and their random variations. Two types of factors are to be considered;those that are easy to manipulate according to the objectives, and those that can vary randomly (uncontrollable factors). These could eventually divert the system from the desired target. It is, therefore, important to implement a system that is insensitive to fluctuations in factors that are difficult to control. The aim of this study is to optimize the synthesis of an apatitic calcium carbonate phosphate characterized with a Ca/P ratio equal to 1.61 by using the experimental design method based on the Taguchi method. In this process, five factors are considered and must be configured to achieve the previously defined objective. The temperature is a very important factor in the process, but difficult to control experimentally, so considered to be a problem factor (noise factor), forcing us to build a robust system that is insensitive to the last one. Therefore, a much simpler model to study the robustness of a synthetic solution with respect to temperature is developed. We have tried to parameterize all the factors considered in the process within a wide interval of temperature variation (60˚C - 90˚C). Temperature changes are no longer considered as a problem for apatitic calcium carbonate phosphate synthesis. In this finding, the proposed mathematical model is linear and efficient with very satisfactory statistical indicators. In addition, several simple solutions for the synthesis of carbonate phosphate are proposed with a Ca/P ratio equal to 1.61.

Primary Anorectal Melanomas Interest of Targeting C-KIT in Two Cases from a Series of 11 Patients

Background: The anorectal location of melanomas is extremely rare (1% - 3% of all melanomas), and the prognosis remains poor because of the aggressiveness and the high metastatic potential of those tumors. The discovery that the KIT oncogene may be aberrantly activated in a subset of patients with anorectal melanoma creates a realm of possibility for the development of targeted molecular therapy. Aim: to show the epidemiologic, clinico-radiological, histological features and treatment management especially in patients with over-expression of C-KIT treated by Imatinib. Methods: It is a retrospective study conducted in the department of medical oncology at Hassan II University Hospital between January 2007 and January 2012, including all patients with histologically proven melanoma of the anorectal area. Results: 11 cases were collected, with slight female predominance. Nine patients were metastatic at the moment of diagnosis, and only two with local stage, but evolution was marked by local and distant recurrence less than 12 months after abdo-minoperineal resection. First line of chemotherapy was based mainly on paclitaxel, carboplatine and dacarbazine. Response was modest with only 3 partial responses, 4 patients with disease stability, and 4 patients with disease progression. Two patients, with over expression of C-KIT, received Imatinib as second line of treatment with significant improvement of symptoms and radiological response reaching 50%. Seven patients died with a median survival of 11 months from diagnosis to the date of death. Conclusion: Primary anorectal melanomas are very rare, with high aggressiveness and poor prognosis. Treatment management is still a big challenge given to the modest efficacy of conventional chemotherapy. Better understanding of carcinogenesis and signaling pathways will allow development of new targeted therapies.

Objectives: To bring out the clinical, biological, and therapeutic aspects of pregnant women and women in the post-partum infected by the SARS COVID-19 in the University hospital of Marrakesh. To study the vertical transmission of the virus if it exists, and the impact on the newborn. Methods: It is a prospective observational study on women infected by COVID-19 virus admitted in the gynecology obstetrics department of the University hospital of Marrakesh during the period between March 1st and July 15th. Data collection was insured thanks to a customized form containing the medical history, clinical criteria, biological and, radiological findings as well as the treatment and maternal and neo-natal outcomes. Results: The clinical, biological and radiological presentation of COVID-19 infection in pregnant and post-partum women doesn’t seem to be different from general population. Pregnant and post-partum women don’t seem to be more at risk to develop severe features of the disease. Vertical transmission via placenta is possible. COVID-19 infection may cause premature labor, premature rupture of membranes, preeclampsia or fetal distress

A Space Unrestricted Multi-Robot Combat Internet of Things System

Multi-robot cooperation problem has received increasing attention in the research community and has been extensively studied from different aspects. Space constrain problem is a major issue for building a multi-robot system. This con- strain is a major hindrance for the efficient cooperation among robots in multi-robot applications. In this paper, we demonstrate a novel architecture of a multi-robot system without space restriction. Our architecture is based on the Internet of Things technology. We validated the proposed architecture using a case study considering a multi-robot combat application.

Performance Analysis of the Hybrid MQTT/UMA and Restful IoT Security Model

Internet of Things (IoT) environments are being deployed all over the globe. They have the potential to form solutions to applications, from small scale applications to national and international ones. Therefore, scalability, performance, and security form a triangle of requirements that must be carefully set. Furthermore, IoT applications require higher security standards. A previously proposed IoT application framework with a security embedded structure using the integration between message queue telemetry transport (MQTT) and user-managed access (UMA) is analyzed in this work. The performance analysis of the model is presented. Comparing the model with existing models and different design structures shows that the model presented in this work is promising for a functioning IoT design model with security. The results and analysis showed that the built-in security model had performed better than models with other frameworks, especially with fog implementation.

Blockchain technology holds significant promise for driving innovations across diverse industries, businesses, and applications. Recognized as a crucial source of competitive advantage in a fast-evolving environment, blockchain is anticipated to contribute substantially to sustainable economic and social development. Despite these high expectations, many blockchain projects currently face high failure rates, leading to negative impacts on various aspects of economic and social sustainability, including corporate governance, risk management, financial management, human resources, culture management, and competitiveness. This paper evaluates adoption models, identifying both risk and success factors. It introduces an integrated adoption model designed to operationalize, measure, and manage blockchain-driven business innovation sustainably. An empirical study involving 20 industry sectors and 125 business leaders was conducted to assess the model’s applicability. The findings indicate that the adoption model has the potential to support the sustainable implementation of blockchain technology for business innovations across various industries and applications. Future research and industry activities should continue validating this model through further case studies.

Radio frequency identification (RFID) has emerged as a pivotal technology in supply chain management (SCM), significantly enhancing its efficiency and effectiveness. When integrated with the internet of things (IoT) to form RFID-IoT, this technology brings transformative advancements to SCM, enabling automated sensing, pervasive computing, and ubiquitous data access across the entire supply chain, from manufacturers and distributors to retailers and consumers. This integration facilitates real-time identification and monitoring of products, enhances various processes, improves logistic tracking, and ensures better product quality management. Despite its promising benefits, the adoption of RFID-IoT in SCM faces several challenges, including technical complexities, data security concerns, and high implementation costs. However, the future potential of RFID-IoT technology remains substantial. It is anticipated that further integration with other emerging technologies, such as block chain and artificial intelligence, will lead to more comprehensive and robust SCM solutions, offering unprecedented levels of transparency, efficiency, and automation in supply chain operations.

BACKGROUND The concept of macroscopic on-site evaluation(MOSE)was introduced in 2015 when the endoscopist observed better diagnostic yield when the macroscopically visible core on MOSE was superior to 4 *** studies suggest that MOSE by the endoscopist may be an excellent alternative to rapid on-site evaluation,and some classi-fications have been *** studies have assessed the adequacy of histologic cores in MOSE during endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration/biopsy(EUS-FNA/FNB).AIM To evaluate the performance of MOSE during EUS-FNA/*** This multicentric prospective study was conducted in 16 centers in 3 countries(Egypt,Iraq,and Morocco)and included 1108 patients with pancreatic,biliary,or gastrointestinal pathology who were referred for EUS *** prospectively analyzed the MOSE in 1008 patients with available histopathological reports according to 2 classifications to determine the adequacy of the histological core *** management and analysis were performed using a Statistical Package for Social Sciences(SPSS)version *** A total of 1074 solid lesions were biopsied in 1008 patients with available cytopathological *** age was 59 years,and 509 patients(50.5%)were *** mean lesion size was 38 *** most frequently utilized needles were FNB-Franseen(74.5%)and 22 G(93.4%),with a median of 2 *** to 2 classifications,618 non-bloody cores(61.3%)and 964 good samples(95.6%)were adequate for histological *** overall diagnostic yield of cytopathology was 95.5%.The cytological examination confirmed the diagnosis of malignancy in 861 patients(85.4%),while 45 samples(4.5%)were ***-procedural adverse events occurred in 33 patients(3.3%).Statistical analysis showed a difference between needle types(P=0.035)with a high sensitivity of FNB(97%).The analysis of the relationship between the MOSE-score and the final diagnosis showed a significant difference between the different
