Tuberculosis is one of the most contagious and lethal illnesses in the world,according to the World Health *** had the leading mortality rate as a result of a single infection,ranking above HIV/*** detection is an essential factor in patient treatment and can improve the survival *** methods should have high mobility,high accuracy,fast detection,and low *** work presents a novel biomedical photonic crystal fiber sensor,which can accurately detect and distinguish between the different types of tuberculosis *** designed sensor detects these types with high relative sensitivity and negligible losses compared to other photonic crystal fiber-based biomedical *** proposed sensor exhibits a relative sensitivity of 90.6%,an effective area of 4.342×10^(-8)m^(2),with a negligible confinement loss of 3.13×10^(-9)cm^(-1),a remarkably low effective material loss of 0.0132cm-f,and a numerical aperture of *** proposed sensor is capable of operating in the terahertz regimes over a wide range(1 THz-2.4 THz).An abbreviated review of non-optical detection techniques is also *** in-depth comparison between this work and recent related photonic crystal fiber-based literature is drawn to validate the efficacy and authenticity of the proposed design.

The diversity of data sources resulted in seeking effective manipulation and *** challenge that arises from the increasing dimensionality has a negative effect on the computation performance,efficiency,and stability of *** of the most successful optimization algorithms is Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)which has proved its effectiveness in exploring the highest influencing features in the search space based on its fast convergence and the ability to utilize a small set of parameters in the search *** research proposes an effective enhancement of PSO that tackles the challenge of randomness search which directly enhances PSO *** the other hand,this research proposes a generic intelligent framework for early prediction of orders delay and eliminate orders backlogs which could be considered as an efficient potential solution for raising the supply chain *** proposed adapted algorithm has been applied to a supply chain dataset which minimized the features set from twenty-one features to ten significant *** confirm the proposed algorithm results,the updated data has been examined by eight of the well-known classification algorithms which reached a minimum accuracy percentage equal to 94.3%for random forest and a maximum of 99.0 for Naïve ***,the proposed algorithm adaptation has been compared with other proposed adaptations of PSO from the literature over different *** proposed PSO adaptation reached a higher accuracy compared with the literature ranging from 97.8 to 99.36 which also proved the advancement of the current research.

Finite element method resolution and error estimators for p-Laplacian problem with a new boundary condition

In this article, we discuss the approach to solving a nonlinear PDe equation, specifically the p-Laplacian equation, with a general (nonlinear) boundary condition. We establish the existence and uniqueness of the solution, subject to certain assumptions outlined in this paper. To solve our nonlinear problem using the Finite element Method (FeM), we derive an appropriate variational ***, we introduce a study of the residual a posteriori-error indicator, establishing both upper and lower bounds to control the error. The upper bound is determined using averaging interpolators in some Quasi-norms defined by Barrett and Liu. Furthermore, we prove the equivalence between the residual error and the true error e=u-uh. Lastly, we perform a simulation of the p-Laplacian problem in the L-shape domain using a Matlab program in two-dimensional space.

Unveiling the Optimal Interfacial Synergy of Plasma-Modulated Trimetallic Mn-Ni-Co Phosphides:Tailoring Deposition Ratio for Complementary Water Splitting

Designing highly active,durable,and nonprecious metal-based bifunctional electrocatalysts for overall water electrolysis is of urgent scientific importance to realize the sustainable hydrogen production,which remains a grand ***,an innovative approach is demonstrated to synthesize flower-like 3D homogenous trimetallic Mn,Ni,Co phosphide catalysts directly on nickel foam via electrodeposition followed by plasma *** electrochemical activity of the catalysts with varying Mn:Ni:Co ratios is assessed to identify the optimal composition,demonstrating that the equimolar trimetallic phosphide yields an outstanding HeR catalytic performance with a current density of 10 mA cm^(-2) at an ultra-low overpotential of~14 mV,outperforming the best reported *** is asserted by the DFT calculations,revealing strong interaction of the metals and the P atom,resulting in enhanced water activation and optimized G_(H)^(*)values for the HeR ***,this optimal composition appreciably catalyzes the OeR by exposing more intrinsic active species in-situ formed on the catalyst surface during the ***,the Mn_(1)-Ni_(1)-Co_(1)-P-(O)/NF catalyst exhibits a decreased overpotential of~289 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2).More importantly,the electrocatalyst sustains perfect durability up to 48 h at a current density of 10 mA cm^(-2) and continued 5000 cycling stability for both HeR and ***,the assembled MNC-P/NF||MNC-P/NF full water electrolyzer system attains an extremely low cell voltage of 1.48 V at 10 mA cm^(-2).Significantly,the robust stability of the overall system results in a remarkable current retention of~96%after a continuous 50-h ***,this study provides a facile design and a scalable construction of superb bifunctional ternary MNC-phosphide electrocatalysts for efficient electrochemical energy production systems.

Diagnostic accuracy of ePOS score in predicting DNR labeling after ICU admission:A prospective observational study(ePOS-DNR)

Background Resuscitation can sometimes be futile and making a do-not-resuscitate(DNR)decision is in the best interest of the *** electronic poor outcome screening(ePOS)score was developed to predict 6-month poor outcomes of critically ill *** explored the diagnostic accuracy of the ePOS score in predicting DNR decisions in the intensive care unit(ICU).Methods This study was conducted at the ICU of a tertiary referral hospital in Saudi Arabia between March and May ***,we calculated ePOS scores for all eligible consecutive admissions after 48 h in the ICU and recorded the DNR *** ability of the score to predict DNR was explored using logistic ***'s ideal cut-off value was calculated using the DeLong method,and different diagnostic accuracy measures were generated with corresponding 95%confidence intervals(CIs).Results We enrolled 857 patients,125 received a DNR order and 732 did *** average ePOS score of DNR and non-DNR patients was 28.2±10.7 and 15.2±9.7,*** score,as a predictor of DNR order,had an area under receiver operator characteristic(AUROC)curve of 81.8%(95%CI:79.0 to 84.3,Pen's ideal cut-off value>17 was associated with a sensitivity of 87.2(95%CI:80.0 to 92.5,Pecificity of 63.9(95%CI:60.3 to 67.4,Pe predictive value of 29.2(95%CI:24.6 to 33.8,Pegative predictive value of 96.7(95%CI:95.1 to 98.3,Pe ePOS score performed well as a diagnostic test for patients who will be labeled as DNR during their ICU stay.A cut-off score>17 may help guide clinical decisions to withhold or commence resuscitative measures.

Intraductal Prostatic Carcinoma: epidemiological and Anatomopathological Aspects in Dakar

Introduction: Intraductal carcinoma is often associated with high-grade, high-stage adenocarcinoma. Its frequency is variable and it is considered a poor prognostic factor. In our context, when prostatic carcinoma is diagnosed, pathologists do not always report the presence of this anatomopathological entity. We therefore conducted a study to determine the epidemiological and anatomopathological profile of patients with this lesion in Dakar. Materials and Methods: This is a retrospective descriptive study covering a 1-year period from January to December 2022. It focused on cases of intraductal carcinoma diagnosed among prostatic carcinomas collected in the anatomopathology laboratories of Hôpital Général Idrissa Pouye (HOGIP) and Hôpital Militaire de Ouakam (HMO). It was based on archives of anatomopathological reports, blocks and slides. A total of 200 cases of prostatic carcinoma were collated and reviewed to identify those presenting with intraductal carcinoma according to the diagnostic criteria of Guo and epstein. Results: 87 cases of intraductal carcinoma were found, representing 43.5% of prostatic carcinomas. The mean age was 71 years. Patients in their seventh decade were the most represented, i.e. 42.5%. The majority of samples examined were biopsies (72.4%). The mean PSA level was 965.91 ng/ml, with extremes ranging from 0.03 to 10,000 ng/ml. Histologically, 96.5% of cases (N = 84) were invasive prostatic carcinoma. Gleason score 8 (4 + 4) was the most common, accounting for 42.53% (N = 37). On average, the study found four (04) foci of intraductal carcinoma per specimen, with extremes ranging from 1 to 30. Dense cribriform architecture accounted for 78.16%, loose cribriform for 11.5%, solid for 8.04% and micropapillary for 2.3%. Six cases (6.9%) showed foci of comedonecrosis.
