The intensive production of vegetables such as tomatoes depends on various strategies to achieve high *** of this manuscript is to provide scientific and technological strategies for the intensive production of tomato or other vegetables in mega-production factories. However, with the advancement of knowledge, new improvements in the strategies will be incorporated. We have carried out research related to growth and yield variables in S. Lycopersicum. From this research we have worked on the intensive production of this noble vegetable at an industrial level. The results obtained are improvements in the production system. The improvements include the selection of the appropriate variety, germination and development of seedlings in a certified nursery. Trans-plantation in soil or hydroponics. The conditions of nutrient applications from the irrigation head system. The ventilation system and monitoring of climatic factors both day and night (temperature and relative humidity). Monitoring of macro- and micronutrients in the plant system, including Ca, K, Fe, and Zn. Soil fertility analyzes should include: primary and secondary macronutrients (ppm), organic matter (om), EC, pH, bulk density (BD), and cation exchange capacity (CEC). The nutritional diagnosis to confirm ranges of sufficiency. As a tool in plant nutrition programs, foliar application can include biostimulants and growth regulators. The foregoing can be considered strategies for the integral management of the tomato crop.

A Comparative Study of Element Cycling in the Soil-Plant System: A Case Study of Shaly and Calcareous Soils, Southern Benue Trough, nigeria

This study focused on the cycling of major and trace elements in the soil-plant system in parts of Southern Benue Trough, nigeria. Surface soil samples and cassava crop samples were collected from cultivated farmlands underlined by shaly and calcareous soils and were analysed using standard techniques. The results show that shaly soils are relatively acidic (pH, 4.8 - 6.6) with high level of organic matter content (om, 3.2% - 8.7%) compared to calcareous soils (pH, 5.6 - 7.2;om 1.6% - 7.0%). The soils are enriched in elemental composition relative to the world average abundances in soil. The maximum levels of K, Al, and Zn were obtained from shaly soils. The computed accumulation factors are generally ntal levels decreased in the plant parts in the order tuber > leaf > stem. Significant correlation was obtained between elemental associations of calcareous surface soils compared to that of shaly soils. r-mode factor analysis revealed the controls of soil geochemistry to include lithology, anthropogenic and environmental factors. A stepwise linear regression analysis identified soil elemental component, pH and organic matter as some of the factors influencing soil-plant metal uptake.

Combined Procedure for Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting and Pulmonary Hydatid Disease

In this study we reported one case of combined procedure for coronary artery bypass grafting and excision of right pulmonary hydatid cyst. Concerns of possible hydatid systemic dissemination as a result of direct vascular breaches are raised. We suggest that avoidance of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) if that possible is beneficial for the treatment. If not possible then the excision and clearance of the hydatid cyst should be done in the first place before going on bypass.

We optimized Origanum majorana (om) extraction for mild steel corrosion inhibition in neutral 0.5 M chloride medium. The inhibition mechanism evolved in presence of the optimal extract was discussed when calculating the activation energy (Ea), the activation enthalpy (ΔaH) as well as the activation entropy (ΔaS). The om extract molecules were investigated using the density functional theory (DFT) at B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) basis set level. 1-methyl-4-propan-2-ylcyclohexa-1,3-diene alpha-terpinene was predicted exhibiting the most inhibition capabilities.

Characterization of Microstructure and Texture in Grain-Oriented High Silicon Steel by Strip Casting

Grain-oriented 4.5 wt% Si and 6.5 wt% Si steels were produced by strip casting, warm rolling, cold rolling, primary annealing, and secondary annealing. Goss grains were sufficiently developed and covered the entire surface of the secondary recrystallized sheets. The microstructure and texture was characterized by om, EBSD, TEM, and XrD. It was observed that after rolling at 700 ℃, the 6.5 wt% Si steel exhibited a considerable degree of shear bands, whereas the 4.5 wt% Si steel indicated their rare presence. After primary annealing, completely equiaxed grains showing strong y-fiber texture were presented in both alloys. By comparison, the 6.5 wt% Si steel showed smaller grain size and few favorable Goss grains. Additionally, a higher density of fine precipitates were exhibited in the 6.5 wt% Si steel, leading to a ~ 30-s delay in primary recrystallization. During secondary annealing, abnormal grain growth of the 6.5 wt% Si steel occurred at higher temperature compared to the 4.5 wt% Si steel, and the final grain size of the 6.5 wt% Si steel was greater. The magnetic induction B8 of the 4.5 wt% Si and the 6.5 wt% Si steels was 1.75 and 1.76 T, respectively, and the high- frequency core losses were significantly improved in comparison with the non-oriented high silicon steel.

This work represents the first detailed study of an oil shale (OS) section from the Upper Campanian Amman Silicified Limestone (ASL) Formation in south-western part of Jordan. More than five meters of oil shale have been recorded. Using the petrography and geochemistry, this study aims to focus on such non-conventional types of oil shale rocks in Jordan and to shed some light on their composition and formational environment. Unlike oil shale from Maastrichtian to early Tertiary, this type of oil shale is highly dolomitized. The dolomite is diagenetic in origin. This oil shale type contains considerable amount of om and remarkably enriched in some trace elements and shows quite low sulfur content. results suggest that the formation of dolomite appears to be limited by the rate of organic matter oxidation.

Microstructure and Shape Memory Effect of Cu-Zn-ni Shape Memory Alloys

The microstructure, martensitic transformation behavior and shape memory effect of Cu-Zn-ni shape memory alloy have been studied by X-ray diffraction (XrD), optical microscopy (om) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results show that the recrystallization occurs in the hot-rolled Cu-Zn-ni alloy by annealing at 800℃ and alloy is primarily composed of martensite. A reverse martensite transformation temperature higher than 100℃ upon heating has been detected. The alloys exhibit good ductility and shape memory effect (SME). The results obtained are discussed in detail.

Effects of Different Energy Levels on nutrient Utilization and Serum Biochemical Parameters of Early-Weaned Calves

Current study was performed to investigate the effects of different energy levels on nutrient digestion metabolism and serum biochemical parameters of early-weaned calves. Twelve neonatal Holstein calves were selected and assigned randomly to receive 1 of 3 treatments that contained 18.51, 19.66 and 20.80 MJ kg^-1 gross energy, respectively （n=4 per treatment）. Digestion and metabolism trials were carried out in 5 phases （12-20, 22-30, 32-40, 42-50, and 52-60 d of age）. At the same time, blood metabolites were determined at 21, 31, 41, 51, and 61 d of age prior to morning feeding. The results indicated that either dry matter （DM）, organic matter （om） and gross energy （GE） apparent digestibility or n and P retention tended to increase as age advanced; the average value of DM and om apparent digestibility and Ca retention in high-energy treatment was significantly lower than that of other groups （P 〈 0.05）; there were no significant differences in the concentration of serum glucose, triglyceride and urea n among treatments, whereas a significant effect of age was found on the level of triglyceride （P 〈 0.05）. To sum up, medium-energy milk replacer seems to be more beneficial for GE digestibility and n utilization, whereas low-energy milk replacer appears to be more rewarding for Ca and P utilization.

Microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of thixoformed A319 alloys containing variable amounts of magnesium

The effects of Mg content on the microstructure and tensile properties of thixoformed A319 alloys were studied. The samples were thixoformed at 50% liquid content and some of the thixoformed samples were subjected to the T6 heat treatment. The samples were then examined by optical microscopy (om), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction (XrD) analysis as well as tensile tests. The results showed that magnesium was able to refine the eutectic silicon in the samples. It was also observed that a compact Al9FeMg3Si5 phase was formed when the magnesium content was 1.0% and 1.5%. The results also revealed that as the magnesium content in the alloy increases, the tensile strengths of the thixoformed alloys also increase. The ultimate tensile strength, yield strength and elongation to fracture of the thixoformed A319 heat treated alloy were 298 MPa, 201 MPa and 4.5%, respectively, whereas the values of the thixoformed heat treated alloy with 1.5% Mg content were 325 MPa, 251 MPa and 1.4%, respectively. Thixoformed A319 alloy showed a dimple fracture behaviour, while thixoformed A319 alloys with 1.5% Mg showed a mixed mode fracture behaviour, where dimple and cleavage ruptures were seen on the fracture surface of the samples.
